Fast Track to Tyranny 10.25.07: Parallels

This week, the Angry Scotsman wraps the Fast Track to Tyranny series up with a nice little bow using parallel events and occurances in two superpower countries to put everything into context. As George Santayana quiped "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it."



Good day to all of my wonderful readers, the Angry Scotsman is back for the final installment of my Fast Track to Tyranny series. I certainly hope that you have found it fairly informative and that I have opened some eyes to the very frightening reality that has befallen our great Republic. Over the past several weeks I have shown you several bills, actions, laws, and executive orders that seem to be an all out assault on the Constitution, the power of the sovereign Citizens of the country, and their Republic. What I have yet to do, however, is show you how everything fits together in context. You see, through research one can see that this is not a new movement of any government, and it has happened before. The parallels drawn between one country of history and our own recent history to the present are so very similar it is both astonishing and frightening, to say the least. And as the saying goes, those who do not know the past are doomed to repeat it.

United States, 1980s
The United States allegedly assist Osama Bin Laden in an attempt to further destabilize long time rival, Communist Soviet Union. While this has been disputed repeatedly, with the claim that Osama wasn't even on the radar for the CIA until 1996, it is hard to imagine that this red fighter would garner little attention from anybody in the US since he was so good at beating the crap out of reds. Of course the Regan administration didn't send any WMDs to Iraq either during this time.

Germany, 1917

Germany provided means and transportation to the exiled Vladimir Lenin back into Russia shortly after the over throw of Tsar Nicholas II. This was a strategic attempt of the German government to destabilize Russia so that Germany could concentrate on its Western enemies and hopefully get out from under the thumb of the dual front battle they had been fighting. The move proves to be successful; however the success does not come in time to save Germany from defeat in the First World War

United States, September 11, 2001

According to the 9-11 Commission Report, four planes were hijacked at varying times during the morning of this day. American Airline Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 are steered by the hijackers straight into World Trade Center One and Two, resulting in the collapse of World Trade Center One, Two, and Seven. American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93 was brought down by the heroic actions of those onboard before any further damage could be done. Newly elected President George W. Bush, the Connecticut man from Texas takes immediate action…that is after he's done reading "My Pet Goat" and talking about how those flying Flight 11 were "some terrible pilot" and his approval ratings sore to record levels. After brief investigation, and only hearsay evidence provided to the public, it was determined that Osama Bin Laden and a large army of terrorists by the name al Qaeda are responsible for the horrible attacks.

Germany, February 27, 1933

On the evening of this pivotal day in history, the Berlin fire station received an alarm call that the Reichstag, the German Parliament Building, was on fire. The fire was quickly proclaimed an act of terrorism and a direct attack on the German people. Further hearsay evidence provided blame Communist radicals, who were motivated for no other reason than to overthrow the long suffering people of Germany. Newly appointed Chancellor Adolph Hitler, the Austrian man from Germany, takes immediate action and his approval ratings soar, as well as the strength of his party in parliament.

United States, 2001

It wasn't long after the attacks as well, that a physical accomplice was found to have had knowledge of the attacks, and individual who was captured on immigration violation charges, Zacarias Moussaoui. Moussaoui was promptly arraigned, and during the length of his trial, exhibited behavior that was more than questionable. Despite questions of Moussaoui's competency to stand trial, the trial went on for years after, until he was finally convicted of conspiring to kill Americans and sent off to federal prison for life without parole.

Germany, 1933

Immediately following the attack, a shirtless, less than competent man by the name of Marinus van der Lubbe, is found in a back ally and immediately arrested. He was just as quickly put on trial as a Communist conspirator, and though his intelligence and mental ability came into question, he was convicted for the crimes against Germany and beheaded shortly thereafter.

United States, October 2001

Using the urgency of the 9-11 attacks, it was only a few short weeks after when the PATRIOT Act was introduced and highly pushed by White House officials, giving new and improved policing powers to ever investigative and police bureau. The Act further breaks down barriers that had long been held to separate local and federal police and investigative bureaus, allowing for the free sharing of information as well as other civil liberty damaging legislation without warrant, court order, or subpoena in the name of national security. The bill was passed the day it was received without debate or committee time, and was signed into law less than twenty-four hours after its passage. Over the course of six year, legislation such as this would become the norm, such as the Military Commissions Act of 2006 which breaks down of barriers of removing the Citizenship and legal resident status of any person in the United States and replacing it with a much less desirable status of "enemy combatant". With that particular designation it takes said person out of Constitutional jurisdiction and places them into military jurisdiction. Further the act repeals Habeas Corpus (sort of, it's still a constitutional right, however how can one challenge the constitutionality if one cannot get out of jail into the court) and removes congressional oversight in matters of interrogation methods and torture definitions. Currently Congress is looking to repeal the mistake, but as it has been shown before, Congress does not have the numbers to overturn an imminent Presidential veto. The John Warner Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 allocates funds to the tune of $500 billion is given a designation as may be used for "Use of Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies", repeals Posse Comitatus and legalizes the federalization of National Guard troops for normal police duties, not just enforcement of federal law. In short, it is the establishment of a foundation for martial law. All these were passed with little or no debate or protest because they were enveloped in legislation that was to fund and help troops abroad. Police actions start to become more aggressive, free speech zones become a normal occurrence, and surveillance legislation continues to be passed to strengthen the executive's ability to supersede the Court's authority. What's more is a large amount of information, originally available to if not the public, then at least the Congress is made classified and transparency of federal actions begins to fade. Executive orders are also passed giving broad definition to situations in which property may be seized, including language that would imply dissent of government war and security actions.

Germany, February 1933

Chancellor Hitler convinces President von Hindenburg, using the urgency of the Reichstag fire to pass the Reichstag Fire Decree, which nullified many of the key civil liberties of German Citizens. This was done with little protest or consideration by von Hindenburg, and suspended rights such as habeas corpus, freedom to organize and assemble, the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications, \warrants for house searches, and property rights.

United States, May 4, 2007

National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive 51/20 is signed by President George W. Bush. These Executive Directives state that in the event of a national emergency, decided upon and defined by the President and the Director of Homeland Security, the President may, effectively, rule all branches of government from federal to tribal by decree. While this sort of language is hard to decipher in the declassified text of this document, the text does elude to such likelihood, with the added effect of the majority of the document being classified, not to be viewed by ANYBODY, including members of Congress or the Court. Again, this is done in the name of national security with the excuse of a more controlled effort in battling terrorism or handling a natural disaster such as Katrina, or even an economic emergency, while at the same time assuming that the State is incompetent to take care of its own Citizens. This is one of the most terrifying pieces that I had reviewed because if an appropriate trigger presents itself and the directive is enacted, then the United States Constitution, the Republic, and the sovereignty of the State and Citizen becomes null and void and the President may rule practically by decree. This directive plays off of all the other legislation I reviewed and the foundation has been laid to combat any dissent, protest, or insurrection that might occur in the event of its enactment.

Germany, March 23, 1933

Germany's parliament passes the Enabling Act, Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich, or Law to Remedy the Distress of the People and the State, which built off of a foundation laid down by the Reichstag Fire Decree. The intent of any enabling act is to grant dictator powers of rule by decree to either one or a small group of executives. This is the final peg of Hitler's true rise to power in Germany, now giving him total control over the State.

Have a caught your attention yet? Throughout all of my articles I've merely been providing the information that I have seen, researched, and analyzed with my own eyes and mind. The Republic and Constitution are in a great deal of hurt and peril in this day, through direct assaults upon each by an ideology pushed by incompetence and malice, and fed by fear. Other interesting facts that I chose to leave out that might interest you are the historical revelation that der Lubbe, the poor, shirtless sap that was convicted and beheaded for being a Communist radical, setting the stage for a Red Fear party in Germany and wars based on, never set foot in the Reichstag. He was not a Communist; he was an innocent, mentally incompetent homeless man. Further, it was found that Hitler, himself, ordered the burning of the Reichstag, and sent storm troopers to do just that. The same false flag method was used to invade Poland, by grabbing prisoners from local jails, dressing them in Polish army gear, and then shooting them just inside the German border. This was then held by the German government as a legitimate attempt by Poland to infiltrate Germany and spread Communism and terror, which was thankfully halted by brave and alert border guards. The REAL ID Act has many similarities to the "Auchtung, your papers please" days in Nazi Germany. In 1937, it became mandatory that all Jews had to have the "J Stamp" put on their papers, which would make it easier to weed them out. In relation, I caught wind of a video (I apologize I can't find the code) of an Australian comedy newsman interviewing several Americans on whether Muslims should be required to have special markings on their drivers licenses, and even going as far as saying they should have to tattoo markings on their arms or wear a special badge. Everyone shown said yes, of course, not just those deemed as radicals but ALL OF THEM! THESE WERE WWII VETERAN AGE PEOPLE! The parallels are absolutely frightening! None of this is fabricated, none of this is has been creatively altered to suit my own needs. Should anyone question anything that I have revealed in either my 14 points series or this Fast Track series, I ask you to challenge me. Research the information for your self and challenge me. If you agree with me, then I would love to hear from you as well.

The Next Series

I've been giving a lot of thought to the next project I would like to undertake. Ultimately I had to make the decision between another informative series and an interactive one. Seeing as how I would like to mix things up a bit, I decided on the interactive series. The series will be entitled "Enemies of the Republic: The trial of…." fill in the blank. Playing the role of lead prosecutor, will present to you, the jury, an individual I feel is in need of trial for crimes against the Republic, the United States, and its Citizens. I will present a list of charges and my argument as to why the defendant is guilty of the crimes. After each article I will turn it over to you, the jury, to vote on whether the argument I presented is enough to convict the alleged criminal. Should anybody be interested in defending the defendant, I will be open to that as well by simply extending the length of the trial. But this series would depend on you, folks, and I would love to really get into this and I know a lot of you have things you want to say too. I'm looking forward to this one and I can't wait to present it.
