Hillary Must Be Hounded Out Of The Race
Posted by Nicholas Joseph on 04.24.2008
It is not easy to embrace change and a new direction when the entrenched power structures insist that the conditions are only temporary.
Few political observers believe that an upset victory by Barack Obama in Pennsylvania would have put an end to this nonsensical political season. The likes of Hillary Clinton, with her abhorrent ambition to grab power at any cost, will not voluntarily bow out gracefully in the interest of party and country. She must be hounded out of the race. She is hell-bent on tearing the Democratic Party apart and giving McCain a head start for the November general election. Her obligatory win in Pennsylvania can only assist in the blood-letting. Unfortunately, in the name of democracy, she will lay claim to her God-given right to fight on. Despotic minds don't give up power or any slim chance to acquire it.
So, let us try to make some sense from this undefined win. By any measure, Pennsylvania was never a state that favored Obama. When Obama started his earnest campaign in the state, Hillary already had a 20 percent lead. He was trailing and playing catch-up from the beginning. To add insult to injury, Clinton aligned with the right-wing media in a conspiracy, dubbed a debate, which caught Obama off guard. At the pre-election debate he appeared annoyed and detached from the real trickery that was in progress. He was literally ambushed by ABC's Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. They set out, as in Julius Caesar's senate, to inflict the treacherous knife wounds, and hopefully, make Obama unelectable, while Hillary, a member of the Party, availed herself of Brutus' knife to deliver the "unkindest cut of all." But fellow Americans are you aware that Brutus was a Republican? Isn't this an interesting coincidence, especially considering my most recent article where I accused Hillary Rodham Clinton of behaving like a Republican, dressed in Democrat sheep's clothing?
Obama did not help his cause when he attempted a sociological and societal explanation about human behavior. His analysis that rural Pennsylvanians cling to guns and God in dire economic times did not resonate with a vulnerable constituency that could not discern truth from fiction. In fact, they would rather cling to their guns and reach for the unknown stars than face the harsh realities of the burning need to change course. It is not easy to embrace change and a new direction when the established and entrenched power structures insist and instill in the poor, wretched and vulnerable minds that the conditions of misery, poverty, squalor and political neglect are only temporary, that the American dream is just around the corner.
Then, there is Hillary Clinton, taking a page from the Rove-style Republican dirty-tricks book. Playing on the fear of the people in a last minute ad, which tried to paint Obama with an Osama Bin Laden brush? Fear is a powerful emotion and the Republicans have perfected this dastardly tactic. The Clinton campaign, with the carefully spun refrain "a win is a win," dived deep into the filth and sullied Pennsylvania. Interestingly, those same voters who were reportedly outraged at Obama's statement turned around and give Hillary a victory by a ten-percentage point margin. It tells you something about the beastly adaptation of human beings.
It is crystal clear and Hillary has proved it, that some people, alas, quite a majority, will be swayed by the most profane and despicable political ads. Perhaps it is human nature to yield to temptation. The popular saying "lead me not into temptation for I will find it myself" has just acquired a renewed authenticity and the mentally retarded members of the club that nourishes the likes of "Guest # 6084" who considers me a "POS" because I insist on the truth to set us free, will experience a perverse but fleeting climax. Destructive forces always appear to have a more powerful appeal than rational, logical and analytical persuasion.
To his eternal credit, Obama has attempted to fight this race and still maintain his sanity. He has been restrained, conscious and deliberate while his opponent has emptied the septic tank upon him and America. He has refused to modify his character, sacrifice certain fundamental principles, or borrow from Hillary's extensive make-up kit just to win votes. She lied about disembarking in Bosnia "under sniper fire." She embellished her resume for political gain. She pretended that she was not certain whether Obama was Christian or Muslim. And she "misspoke" about where her daughter was after 9/11. And, much, much more folks! That's the person who wants to replace another liar, George W. Bush at Pennsylvania Avenue. Senator Clinton has deliberately decided to put aside any virtues and sense of morality that she might have possessed before this campaign got underway. In her desperation Hillary has carelessly kicked aside George Washington's advice that was so freely given to our great American nation on September 17, 1796 "that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government."
Indeed, Hillary Clinton has run a callous, demeaning and shameful campaign. Her entire political operation has been based on a "willing suspension of disbelief." Her spin masters will attempt to portray her Pennsylvania pyrrhic success as the best thing ever for the democratic process and her penchant and desire for power will stroke her enlarged ego. It will be characterized as a defining moment. The obvious truth is that Hillary is badly lagging in the delegate count and is terribly short in the popular vote. To make up the deficit on both fronts she will have to win nearly all the remaining primaries. This will not happen, irrespective of media claims that the rest of the contest favors her. Despite her personal financial bonanza of $109.5 million garnered in a mere seven years, her campaign has run out of hard cash and is reportedly in huge debt; this is very significant considering that Hillary pretends to be the best candidate for Commander in Chief and head of our public financial superstructure in America. Her Pennsylvania win may bring in some donors but generally people don't give to a candidate with little chance of winning.
Doing Clinton's bidding for their suspect and conniving reasons, the press suggested that the Democratic Primary can end in a tie. The right-wing hope is that the August Convention will be fractured and raucous, leaving McCain a clear shot at the presidency.
This is a Democrats election to lose. They can fiddle with Hillary Clinton as much as they want, but the unflattering reality is that Hillary is a debilitating toxic agent in a general election setting, and the Republicans will slaughter her. Hillary's negatives have remained constant at above 50% nationally. A majority of the American people have registered a vote against her lack of trust. In addition, she is one of the most uninspiring politicians in modern times. Compare that track record to McCain and you have a contest between a discredited and dishonest person, someone who pretends, panders and putters, and a man who is viewed as a national hero, who actually came under enemy fire, not imagined "sniper fire," and who is known not for mis-speaking, but for his boldness and straight talk. The ads loom clearly and luminously in my mind's eye — Hillary under Manufactured "Sniper Fire" and, McCain The Real Mccoy!
Now, here is what the Democrats must do in a hurry. They must rein in Hillary, through gentle persuasion if they can, but by harsh methods if they must. They need to remind her of what she already knows, that the future of the country is at stake, and that the American people deserve no less than a real change from George W. Bush and the neo-cons' eight years of hard labor. The Party must look into its heart and its soul, invoke the virtue and the morality that George Washington mandated as guiding principles in our public affairs, reflect upon our nation's more significant moments and traditions of honor and dignity, and in the process, muster the courage to stop the hemorrhaging in the Party, and the Hillbillys' mad and undignified dash into the political abyss.
Admittedly, her ambiguous Pennsylvania win makes that task a bit more difficult, but Martin Luther King, Jr. reminds us that the "true measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but in times of trial and tribulation." The Clintons cannot be allowed to continue playing this selfish game while placing the livelihood of millions of honest Americans at risk. Enough is enough. It is time for Party Chairman Howard Dean to show some testicular fortitude and bring this nightmare to an end.
The super delegates must act in conjunction with Mr. Dean to send a powerful message to Hillary Clinton that time has run out and her journey is over. Yes, the "tide has turned," but against her continued permanence in the race. If the party fails to act decisively and in the interest of country, they may find that come convention time, the people, including your humble servant, have all gone fishing. The people will cling not only to their guns and God, but to their pillows also.

After Bush presidency, I'm not going to take the McCain plunge. I'm voting for Obama...hell, I believe that change is needed in Washington. It is refreshing to see a politician fail to restort to trickery.
About John McCain, the fact he doesn't know the difference betweet Sunni and Shia Muslims could be very, very damaging to his political inspirations once the Democrats are down to one choice.

Seriously, why dose 411 allow you to have a column.

So, hypothetically speaking if either the Democratic or Republican candidate is leading in the final weeks of the election, should the loosing candidate drop out of the contest? I keep seeing Obama supporters saying that because he is currently ahead Clinton should drop out. Why? This nomination process is not over yet. Just because candidate is leading now, who knows what can happen.

MrMe;
Go to any delegate calculator, or just read Ashish's last column and you'll see the nomination process is all but over..She cannot win without overturning "the will" of the people.

I will respond briefly to "L4orion" and "MrMe11" only this morning. First orion; the reason 411 allows Mr. Joseph to have a column is because people like you, orion, refuse to muster the courage and the testicular fortitude Joseph speaks of, to produce well thought out and intelligent stuff that 411 could use to provide reading material to the public out there, who hunger for the contention of ideas. Secondly orion, although Bush and the neo-cons tried to destroy our American democracy, the last time I checked our democracy was still in existence, legally and otherwise, and it is precisely for this reason that 411 allows journalist Joseph, a great American I might add, to produce intelligent and well researched information for people like you to consume, even if your warped stomach is unable to digest its noble content. Over to you "Mrme11": It is well established in our American political science and political practice that a candidate who depends on dirty tricks, subtle and not-so-subtle racist tricks, kitchen sick tactics, lies, pandering, puttering, selfishness, misspeaking, and an "extensive make-up kit" to use Joseph's apt phrase, is unworthy of the votes of young and aged, honest, decent, hopeful, well-educated American citizens, and certainly does not qualify for the HOT SEAT on Pennsylvania Avenue. While she is bleeding the Party to death for her own selfish and myopic purposes, she is also showing an American face that not only messes up our domestic values, but also brings shame on us in the international community. God Bless America.

Wow. Baron you are acting as though this is the first time in modern history that a candidate has lied or used deceiving tactics to get elected. It has been well documented that Obama has used some of the same tactics Clinton has used, so please don't allow blind ideology to cloud your thinking. If someone put a gun against my head and asked me to choose Clinton or Obama, I'd have to go with him. I've never trusted the Clinton's from the very start, but please don't act as though Obama is running a clean race without any trickery.
Now back to my original question. If Obama gets the conformation, and in late October it is clear that he can not be elected, should he drop out? To be intellectually honest, you must say yes. If not, you now have a double standard. Do I believe a loosing candidate that still has a chance of winning an election should drop out? No, that is ridiculous. Let the campaign cycle go its course.

(A.) The last time i checked...America was never a Democracy...say it with me..."...and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands..."
(B.) As much of a F-up Bush was(is), the death of this REPUBLIC happened far before Bush was even born. That would be when the Private bankers known as the "Federal" Researve. were issued the power to coin money.

Obama is not bringing change. He's bringing the same failed policies and socialist nonsense that Jimmy Carter tried. Look what happened after four years of that. At least we got Ronald Reagan.

With humility I stand corrected. Many thanks.

I am amazed at your assumption that "blind ideology" is clouding my reasoning, yet you can even consider the possibility that Barack might "not be elected" come November. Don't you realize just what is happening in our country? No republican candidate today in America has a snowball's chance in Hell of standing to Obamamania. Don't you walk the streets and feel the pulse of the people MrMe11? I am not ideological. I represent one of the young people who feel shafted directly and indirectly by the bigots in Washington. And, more importantly, I would have to be a pervert to support a candidate for the HOT SEAT on Pennsylvania Avenue, who is a declared liar, a panderer and a glorified glob of make-up. Hillary is nothing but a pre-packaged robot that is being marketed to gullible American citizens by special interests in Washington. This is as clear to me as the light of day. Nothing personal or petty here. And regarding her dishonesty and trickery, I take note of journalist Nicholas Joseph's quotation of George Washington's famous words of September 17, 1796 "that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government." Hillary must first learn and abide by these principles before she hopes to be my Commander in Chief. We forget to our peril and that of our children that G.W. Bush took our nation to war in Iraq on the basis of a pack of lies, already admitted to by British and US intelligence. Oh by the way MrMe11, please tell me ONE lie that has come off the lips of Barack Obama in this campaign, and I resign my case tomorrow, and will NOT vote for him come November. God Bless America.

Wow Barron what a way to avoid the question...anywho. You stated you, "tell me ONE lie that has come off the lips of Barack
Obama in this campaign, and I resign my case tomorrow, and will NOT vote for
him come November." Fine I'll go for a real easy one. In 2004 Obama stated "I can unequivocally say I will not be running for national office in four years, and my entire focus is making sure that I’m the best possible senator on behalf of the people of Illinois." It looks like he lied there. Even back then it was rumored that he had all intentions of running for the presidency. So I guess Obama has just lost on e supporter.
