Most pro-Obama remarks yet...
Hillary Clinton made her most pro-Obama statements yet today, urging her supporters to vote for Obama over John McCain.
"Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain," Clinton said on CNN's "The Situation Room."
"I'm going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is. Obviously, I'm still hoping to be that nominee, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."
Clinton also agreed to the assertion made by her supporter, Charlie Rangel, that her recent comments about how Obama can't win uneducated white people was the dumbest thing she's ever said.
Clinton also defended Obama against attacks from McCain about Hamas endorsing Obama and if that means anything.
"I think that that's really an overstatement, an exaggeration of any kind of political meaning and I don't think that anybody should take that seriously," she says of McCain's linking Obama and Hamas.
Clinton is obviously coming around to the fact that she won't win and seems to be positioning for a run at the VP spot now, and if not that, is obviously aware that her political future is on the line now and she can't keep making divisive comments.
