Is GA close or not?
Happy 4th of July everyone. We have one new poll today...
-- In Georgia, InsiderAdvantage has McCain clinging to a tiny lead over Obama, 46% to 44% with Bob Barr getting 4%. Two weeks ago, InsiderAdvantage had McCain leading by 1%, so not much has changed here. Rasmussen and Strategic Vision have shown 10% and 8% leads for McCain in Georgia and my hunch is that those are probably closer to accurate. But still, any poll showing a state that should be very safe for McCain so close is noteworthy. The poll includes a question about how people in Georgia would react if Obama picked former Georgia Senator Sam Nunn as his VP. 51% said it would make them more likely to support Obama while 11% said it would make them less likely and 38% said it would make no difference.
