McCain Shifting Resources Into NC, Obama Closing Shop In ND
Posted by Ashish on 09.21.2008

After claiming for months that they wouldn't invest anything in North Carolina, the McCain campaign is now shifting resources into the state, a sign that their internal polling has the state too close to risk.

Meanwhile, the Obama campaign is now officially closing shop in North Dakota, an obvious sign that they have given up on flipping that state, and are sending the staffers they have in the state to Minnesota and Wisconsin. This could be a sign that the campaign now considers both of those states as too close to risk, or it could just be the result of those two states being the closest to North Dakota and thus naturally the places to send North Dakota staffers.

Anyone see Obama and McCain on 60 Minutes tonight? Eeesh.

It saddens me that a news program that was once THE investigative journalism show to watch has become such a vapid paint-by-numbers production. The "hard-hitting" and "tough" questions asked were softballs to both candidates.

My favorite moment had to have been asking Obama about taxes. After explaining AGAIN that no one who makes under $250,000 a year will see a tax increase, Steve Croft asks "It seems that the country is broke. Is now a good time to be raising taxes?"

Uh, chucklenuts? The country has money through COLLECTING taxes. It was the kind of embarassing question usually reserved for a puff piece on HANNITY and colmes.

And they just started broadcasting in HD. Does anyone want to see those dessicated mummies in high definition?!?

Good move by the Obama campaign. Minnesota and Wisconsin ARE too close to risk, and meanwhile any scenario that involves North Dakota flipping blue would be the biggest landslide since Reagan '84.

Isn't it nice how Obama surrenders if there's an apparent loss about to happen?
I wonder what else he'd surrender us to if he were POTUS? Anybody no where to get a Rosetta Stone Arabic on the cheap?

Obama Surrender is a moron. You do realize McCain "surrendered" in Iowa weeks ago when he realized he couldn't win it, right? I guess that means he'd surrender all kinds of things as President, right?

Don't sweat it, Wow. "Obama Surrender" is obviously one of those troglodytes that can't figure out that political issues are COMPLEX and require NUANCE. It is much easier to blame the "A-Rabs" as it were, and listen to the politician that makes the biggest noise in the shortest span of time that to actually have to think for yourself.
