Chavez Jr. Prepping for Cuello

Yesterday afternoon, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (38-0-1, 29 KOs) finished off a light workout as he prepares for his fight against the unbeaten Luciano Cuello (23-0, 10 KOs) for the main event of Top Rank's 'Tijuana Thunder' PPV on Saturday night. The card, which also airs in Mexico on TV Azteca, will also feature Humberto Soto defending his WBC junior lightweight strap against Antonio David while Fernando Montiel will battle Diego Silva for the vacant WBO bantamweight crown.

It is expected that the Plaza de Toros may host somewhere around 25,000 fans on Saturday. The final press conference will take place this Thursday at the Grand Hotel in Tijuana.
