Danny Garcia Continues to Shine
Posted by Ramon Aranda on 01.15.2008

This past Friday Philadelphia's newest boxing sensation, 19 year old Danny "Swift" Garcia, continued to shine while knocking out his third opponent improving to (3-0, 3KO's). With precise accurate punches, Garcia dismantled Marlo Cortez, dropping him with a left hook early in the second round, forcing referee Tony Crebs to stop the onslaught at the 1:07 mark. The bout was shown to those watching on Telefutura.

When asked about fighting on TV for the first time, an excited Garcia stated, "This is what it's all about. Giving the fans what they want. Everyone loves a knock-out and I delivered. I'll be ready for whoever's next. I cant wait to get back in the ring".

Garica's next bout is scheduled for February 8, 2008 at "The Castle" in Boston, Massachusetts televised live on Telefutra. Golden Boy Promotions in association with Cappiello Boxing Promotions brings you the action. An opponent will be announced in the near future.
