Casino Morongo Resort and Spa hosts loaded last fight card for 2008!!!
Golden Boy Promotions will host its last night of fights this year at Casino Morongo Resort and Casino on November 21, 2008.
The juggernaut promotional company hosted bouts featuring Sergio Mora, the Fight Of The Year candidate bout between Michael Katsidis and Joel Casamayor, and the returns of Kassim "The Dream" Oumma and Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy.
Former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez will take on Colombian Reynaldo Lopez in a 12 round WBC Latino Super Bantamweight co-feature.
The 27 year old Gonzalez, (39-6, 33 KO's) is on a five fight winning streak and hopes for a big win against Lopez to set up a title match in 2009.
The main event pits contender Nestor Rocha facing Filipino Michael Domingo in a scheduled 10-round bantamweight bout.
Undefeated Las Vegas fighter Cortez Bey, (8-0, 5 KO's) is a lightning quick junior welterweight who was showcased earlier this year on ShoBox: The New Generation.
He takes on another undefeated boxer, Los Angeles native Demetrio Soto (5-0, 4 KO's).
Heavyweights do battle as Ashanti Jordan, (6-0, 5 KO's) takes on San Diego's Lawson Baker for a scheduled six rounds.
Golden Boy Promotions recently signed Charles Huerta, (7-0, 4 KO's) makes his GBP debut against trailblazer Trinidad Mendoza (22-16-2, 17 KO's).
Pomona, California's Ivan Stovall (10-2, 7 KO's) will be in a middleweight contest against Craig McEwan (12-0, 7 KO's).
The opening bout will be a four round feature bout as Los Angeles natives Daniel Hernandez and Odilon Rivera fight in a junior welterweight match-up.
The card is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and Ford Motor Company.
