David Haye Targeting the Klitschkos

Former undisputed cruiserweight champ David Haye promised to make a statement in his first major heavyweight fight Saturday, November 15 against Monte Barrett and the "Hayemaker" delivered in devastating fashion, dropping the former world title challenger five times en route to a fifth round TKO victory.

Now Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) is hunting even bigger game....

"I did everything I promised to do against Monte Barrett and now I'm ready to clean up the heavyweight division by getting rid of the Klitschkos," said Haye. "It doesn't matter in which order I fight them, but the result will be the same - "The Hayemaker" by knockout."

Both Haye's U.S. promoter, Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and trainer Adam Booth, were awed by the 28-year-old's devastating performance at London's O2 Arena.

"David's performance this past weekend was spectacular l and, I have to admit, he's gotten me excited about the heavyweight division for the first time in many years," said De La Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions. "He has the talent and charisma to do great things and he's definitely the type of new blood that will get the heavyweight division, and in turn boxing, back on the front pages in the very near future."

"The scary thing about David Haye is that not only is he physically gifted and blessed with fight-ending power, but he has a brilliant fighting mind that was in evidence against Barrett," said Booth. "David executed our fight plan to the letter and despite his success, he hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential. I have no doubt in my mind that by the end of 2009 he will unify the heavyweight titles and bring the type of order back to the heavyweight division that we haven't seen since the days of Holyfield and Lewis."

Vit Klit and Haye are both knock out specialists, I wouldn't say either are technically that great so whoever lands the first solid punch would win. My money would have to be on Klit in this case.
