Simms: "All I want for Christmas is Abraham or Sturm"
Posted by Ramon Aranda on 12.02.2008

Undefeated American (24-0, 11KO's) southpaw ´Marvelous' Tarvis Simms, closed out his 2008 middleweight campaign, with his third win in four months two days before Thanksgiving against ´The Punching Policeman' Sam Hill, leaving the near sold out crowd in awe of Simms' performance at the Huntington Hilton in Melville, NY. The card was promoted by Sal Musumeci's Final Forum.

After a long absence from the ring, Simms returned in August against Carl Daniels and won in blockbuster fashion, thus setting the tone for his blazing comeback streak and getting boxing fans excited again. With a new management team, Angelo Campanella and promoter Sal Musumeci of Final Forum, Simms has renewed passion and focus, and is looking toward to ?09 being ´the year¡ for a title shot.

WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm and IBF champion Arthur Abraham are on his wish list. Facing off against either of these world champions would be an honor and a dream match up at this point in Simms' career. It's a fight that can be put together in an instant, it's credible and has all the makings of a fight for the ages.

The division is wide open right now with negotiations at a stand still between Strum vs. Abraham, timing has presented itself perfectly for Simms to step in and challenge anyone of these two top tier fighters to an ´anywhere, anytime' match-up.

"I don't care where the fight happens as long as it does; if Sturm or Abraham step up I will fight in their back yard, it doesn't make any difference to me, I have so much respect for both fighters, but once the bell rings I will be fighting to win," said a feisty Simms.

The road back for Simms has been long but for his fans and critics alike it's been worth it. With every match-up the once highly touted hot prospect rears his familiar head and shows us why he is a force to be reckoned with and why he deserves a shot at the top.

"I truly believe that fight fans here in America and around the world would love to see a fight of this magnitude happen, Sturm and Abraham are the best in the world right now plain and simple; but I have full confidence that Simms is the only fighter out there that can topple either one off the top tier, I am moving forward diligently to make this fight a reality."- Sal Musumeci.
