Darchinyan-Arce Press Events Open to the Public

Fight fans invited to attend all the events next week.
Beginning next Tuesday afternoon, fight fans are encouraged to attend the various events leading up to the super flyweight title fight between Vic Darchinyan and Jorge Arce.
"We're going to be fan-friendly, up close and personal all week in Anaheim," said Bob Arum of Top Rank.
Things get started next Tuesday, Feb. 3 when Vic Darchinyan and Jorge Arce will meet some of the young amateur boxers at the PAL Boxing gym in Anaheim at 5 p.m. The gym is located at 225 S. Philadelphia St. in Anaheim.
Then on Wednesday, Feb. 4, both fighters will work out at the TKO Boxing Center (located at 1601 S. Center St., Santa Ana, CA) at 2 p.m. Anthony DeMarco and Kid Diamond will also be in attendance.
Kicking things off on Thursday, Feb. 5 at noon, the final press conference for the fight will take place at The Village at Orange Mall, located at 1500 East Village Way in Orange, CA. All of the fighters will be there including promoters Gary Shaw and Bob Arum. Darchinyan and Arce will also take time to take photos with the fans and sign autographs.
Finally on Friday, Feb. 6, fans are welcome to attend the 10 a.m. weigh-in at the Honda Center. The weigh-in will be held near Section 201 on the East End. Vic and Jorge will hit the scales at 11 a.m.
Then of course on Saturday night, Feb. 7, the doors will open at the Honda Center at 2:30 p.m. The first bell is at 3:30 p.m. while the Showtime Championship Boxing telecast begins at 6 p.m.
Fans, don't forget that on the night before the fight, Top Rank is also promoting a boxing card at the Maywood Community Center at 7 p.m. This is the first card being televised by Azteca America. The telecast order will be Mikey Garcia vs. Carlos Guevara, Omar Chavez vs. Rodolfo Armenta followed by the main event featuring Jesus Soto-Karass vs. Carson Jones.
