Women Boxing To Be Featured In Future Olympics

AIBA has voted to feature women boxing events in future Olympics.
AIBA president Ching-Kuo Wu has announced AIBA executive committee's decision to introduce women's boxing in the 2012 Olympics and going forward.
Boxing has been the only sport in the Olympics without female competitions.
"In the Olympic movement there should not be any discrimination so women boxers should have the right to compete in the Games as well," Wu has stated on the issue.
Boxing has been the only sport in the Olympics without female competitions. This news no doubt should bring a smile and new determination to many female boxers that have not been able to compete in the Olympics since 1994, when the AIBA approved and governed women's boxing.
