• The longest and shortest winning efforts in the Rumble belong to Rey Mysterio (2006, 62:12) and John Cena (2008, 08:27).
• Only four of the winners have lasted the entire Royal Rumble: Shawn Michaels (1995), Vince McMahon (1999), Chris Benoit (2004), and Rey Mysterio (2006). Michaels and Benoit won from the #1 entry, while McMahon and Mysterio started at #2 (#1 and #2 start the match at the same time). Only Benoit and Mysterio lasted longer than an hour in their winning efforts.
• The only men to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches are Hulk Hogan (1990 and 1991), Shawn Michaels (1995 and 1996), and Steve Austin (1997 and 1998). Austin is the only wrestler to win three Rumbles (1997, 1998, and 2001).

• The average amount of time that a Rumble winner has spent in the ring is approximately 27 minutes.
• Counting only those eliminated by the winners in the year they won the Rumble, the total amount of competitors that the Rumble winners have eliminated is 116. The average amount of eliminations by a Rumble winner is approximately 5.
• The wrestlers who won the Rumble in their debut appearances in the Rumble are Jim Duggan (1988), Big John Studd (1989), Ric Flair (1992), Yokozuna (1993), Lex Luger (1994), Vince McMahon (1999), Brock Lesnar (2003), and Chris Benoit (2004).
• Of the nineteen men to win the Royal Rumble, only three of them (Jim Duggan, Lex Luger, and Big John Studd) have never held a world title in WWE. Jim Duggan is the only Rumble winner to have never held any title in WWE. |
