Got up fairly early (9-ish) and went straight into finishing up the ROH review I was in the middle of. It still needs proofing but that can wait. It was Respect is Earned, their first PPV card. Good show. Nothing mind-blowing but solid.
After finishing up I slapped on The Wire, which I'm totally into now after 8 episodes. Checked out two before going to work. The second being the best episode of the series so far with Kima going undercover on a fake buy with Orlando. Great episode, awesome ending. I spent the entire day at work wanting to see the next episode.
Work was the same old shit. The company (which I'm trying real hard not to name) isn't doing a great job on the lead up to Christmas and I'm finding it hard to enjoy work. But my colleagues did a good job of clearing out my warehouse on Monday. Its nice to work with people who are good at their job. Especially when you've trained them. Coming home I was walking down the High Street with Redje when we spy this lady (about 50) lying in the road. Redje plays good Samaritan and calls her an ambulance. Which is good of him but it meant us hanging around in the freezing cold for 20 minutes. The temperature is dropping quickly now and its supposed to snow on Thursday. Bloody weather.
Finally I get home and watch that Wire episode I'd been waiting all day for. It doesn't disappoint and its quickly becoming a tight, slick and thrilling show with great characters and terrific slow-burn storylines. With that episode in the can I turn on the computer to check my emails and there's loads, which means staying up past midnight. Something I hadn't planned on. By the time I've read and replied I'm ready to drop. |
