Checked out Armored before going into work. Its an ok film. Its competent, mostly. I think they were hoping it'd turn out better than it did. Trying to amp up the tension on the scene in the warehouse. Which is basically half the movie. But sooner or later the heist is doomed to failure because it takes too long. I'm sure they were gunning for a Reservoir Dogs-esque film but just didn't have the characters and backstory down for it.
Post work I went for a few beers with Redje in the Red Lion. Quiet pub. We trebled the number of people in there but the beer was terrific. Stopped off to get some chips on the way home and enjoyed saying goodbye to work for 2 days. Yay! Last time I'll get two days in a row off this year. |
