Its pretty rare for me to get two days in a row off. Unless I booked holiday. So I took it easy for a couple of days. Over the two days I managed:
Getting back on the tape reviewing with SMW. Mike Campbell asked me on Facebook if I'd ever finish it up. Hey, it only took me about a year to get around to it. I also did a Rey Mysterio DVD from Big Vision. Its all stuff from Mexico. Most of it ain't great. The commentary almost stole the show apart from a solid Rey-Juvi match. Finally I did another NOAH show from this year. Headlined by Sugiura-Akiyama. Poor Jun looks so broken down these days and he's only a year older than the champ.
I scoped out two episodes of Band of Brothers. I'm becoming a big, big fan of that show. I can't believe I hadn't seen it before now. I'm trying hard to space the episodes out. I'm halfway through now. Also watched some more series 2 of The Wire. That show is more addictive than BoB but not as amazing. Its so well written I could watch it all day every day. The episode "All Prologues" is perhaps my favourite episode ever with a major character biting the dust after delivering another superb monologue earlier in the episode and the rest of the 45 minutes being comedy gold. Thank you, Omar Little. More court episodes with Omar, please.
And amazingly I was off work for 2 days and didn't watch a movie. I did see the first 4 or 5 episodes of My Name is Earl. I saw bits of it when it first aired and like every other TV show never kept up with it. Redje lent me series 1 so I'm working on that. So much missed TV...so little time.
Oh and I saw Man Utd play Tuesday night. Nothing much doing there. Decent game but I find it hard to get excited about Europe. Especially when Man Utd have delivered so many snoozefests in Europe. Arsenal play tonight and have to win so I'll be watching that game although I don't have high hopes for entertainment. |
