The thing about Christmas is it pretty much ruins the whole of December for me. I can't get happy until I'm done with work on Redjemas (24th). I get increasingly irritable and hard to be around. What better time to do a TNA review? Look forward to that one in January. I don't hate Christmas...just everything about it. I'm usually in a great mood on Christmas Day itself and on Christmas Eve once work is done. This weekend is a prime example of how badly pissed off I get. Had to work stupidly hard on Saturday because the snow fucked everything up. Left my delivery late because it got stuck behind an Asda lorry. Fuck Wall-Mart! Post work things got a little better with a few beers down MSB but I was left with huge chunks of anger in there because of how much the day sucked. Then I went down to work on Sunday only to find out our big Monday morning visit was cancelled because of the snow. All that work...for nothing. Fuck snow!
Around being angry and being at work I finished series 2 of The IT Crowd. Pretty funny for the most part. Just coming off Earl & AD its not as funny. I should have given myself more distance. I also got one episode closer to finishing Band of Brothers. None of the episodes can live up to the amazing second episode but its been a consistently good show. I've loved it. Shame I'm so far behind everyone else. Its always the way. I just about found time to watch the Omega Man tonight. Its not as good as I remember and I prefer I Am Legend (until the end). Heston is magnificent though. You cannot fuck with Charlton Heston. He was the man. Just a shame the director wasn't great. So many obvious stunt doubles. Pity. |
