Its been a good day. I woke up. Felt good. Went to work. Got everything done I wanted to. Got home. Popped open a bottle of Jim Beam. Finished watching season 3 of the Wire.
The Wire is a show that just keeps getting better and better and better. I loved the first two series but series three was just brilliant from start to finish. With Avon & Stringer struggling to see eye to eye and the eventual destruction of the whole Barksdale operation. It was wonderful. I can honestly say I've gone from casual viewer of a good show to fan of a great show. Its a shame they only got to do five years on it but as far as I can tell they had a way of doing everything they wanted in five years anyway so we've not lost too much. Great characters. I'll miss seeing them when they've gone.
