My attempts at continuing a blog are slowly going by the wayside. I sat down to do an entry last night and then immediately went off to watch Green Hornet instead. Blogging daily isn't as easy as it sounds. I'll try again...
Wednesday was my day off this week. I got up around lunchtime having stayed up late the previous night watching something or other on the internet. I don't even remember what. I checked out Astro Boy with my wife. We both enjoyed it but its not brilliant or anything. Just solid. She went off to take a nap in the afternoon while I wrote my Thursday news column. I wish there was a way of doing it later in the day but it just takes so damn long that if I attempt it at 10pm there's a danger I'll be late going to bed and mess up my work schedule. Sorry folks.
Maria got up and I wasn't quite finished on the column so she started dinner while I put the finishing touches to it and we watched a little bit of Big Bang Theory. I say "we" I was watching it while she was on facebook. Addict! After dinner, some mackerel that I think might have turned slightly as I could taste it for the entire rest of the day, Maria headed off to work and I went to town on yet another WEW review. I count that as #5 so far. Maybe even #6. I was just finishing that when Maria got home (its a short early evening shift - 2 hours tops, she does more in the mornings) so I saved my progress and sat down with her for a while watching Dirty Leeds V Arsenal in the FA Cup. I never really felt Leeds were going to win but their support was epic. The Gunners ran out 3-1 winners in the end. ITV's football coverage still sucks.
More Big Bang Theory followed as I aim to get through series 2. I'm loving Sheldon Cooper even more as the show progresses. His love of karaoke and introduction to coffee were highlights here. Maria went off to bed, having to get up 3 hours earlier than me in the morning, and left me to my own devices so I checked out the Green Hornet. Review will be in next week's movie news. Suffice to say I was not impressed. Seth Rogen ruins the movie for me. If I'd been able to switch the part of my brain off that found him annoying and unlikeable it would have been ok but I just couldn't. He's insufferable! I ended up slamming it with * but it was probably good for ** based on some nice bits of Michel Gondry direction. Not enough though and Rogen's script is the worst part of it. |
