Got up real fuckin' late Saturday. So much so that I barely had time to get lunch let alone breakfast before heading off to work. Saturday was a better day at work seeing as we did all the work on Friday. Finished early and got home to watch Match of the Day with Fatha. Good day for Man Utd & Arsenal. I still have the Gunners as my title pick although Utd are looking difficult to beat right now. Went to see the wife afterwards and we sat down to drink a few beers (and Jim Beams) and watch My Name is Earl. I'm into series 4 now, final season. I'm trying to go easy because when this season is finished there's no more. Its already better than the experimental 3rd season although I miss Michael Rappaport. Joy getting her hands stuck in a pig is an early highlight.
Woke up fairly late on Sunday too. This is becoming a trend. Checked out Timecrimes after watching more Earl over my BLT. Great fucking movie. Its getting the Hollywood remake treatment soon. Hope they don't ruin it. Sat and watched Blackburn-West Brom in the afternoon. Albion looked strangely unfocused and off the pace. Only Jerome Thomas played well. 'Burn took it 2-0 with minimal effort although Mark Clattenberg missed a blatant pen in the second half.
With the football done for the weekend I attacked the remainder of series 4 of the The Wire. I love this show and although it doesn't feel like a 13 episode series but rather 13 episodes of a 26 episode season its still all good. I feel like they've done an awesome job of incorporating the school into the bigger picture and having Prez there helped. I'm up to the last episode but that'll have to wait until tomorrow.
Finished up the day by doing Chart Watch and then reviewing another WEW show. That's three in a row now. I think that'll do for the time being. There are TNA shows getting backed up. |
