Sat down and played for four-five hours and got about halfway through the game, judging by the number of chapters. Captured some footage of one section and get some screenshots out of it:
Figured I'd add these Nuts and Bolts screens to this thread. Some exploring, one shot from a flight above the castle, and one of Rare's sense of humour:
The shot from the flagpole shows pretty much the entirety of the main hub area.

You invited Roche to some Gears 2? Man, that is cold!

No, I totally laughed while I did it. It was a warm, happy invite.

If it's going to be an identical game, just with different levels, than they should have just done an expansion, or something, instead of making it an outright sequel. I mean, I obviously haven't played it yet, so I can't say for certain. I'm not condeming the game for it, so much, but if it is just going to be the same game with different levels, it might have even been better to bring it out as, like, an episode two, or something, at a bit of a cheaper price. But, again, that's all speculation, seeing as I don't REALLY know what I am talking about. Just shooting from the hip.

Quote: Well besides the obvious continuation of the story mode they've added in new enemies, new guns, and using body shields from dead enemies.
And lol at release an expansion.
What X-Box games release expansions?
Expansions would be great for Gears, but game companies love money, and since customers don't expect xpacks like they do on the PC, they aren't obligated to release them on consoles at the discounted price.

Well they made a good game that stars Banjo...so what's the difference? There's even a section (Klungo's Arcade) that rewards people who can platform :P

Horde is the best - before XBL booted me last night I had reached Lv. 20 with some great teammates and I have no idea how anyone reaches Lv. 50

Klungo's Arcade isn't enough to make me buy the game...darn it Rod, stop it! NOooooooo.
By the way, does Klungo still work with Grunty, or did he just move on to the full-time arcade job? And does Mumbo ever return to his former profession of being a witch doctor?
They're in different jobs in different worlds. L.O.G. is the master of the realm, with everyone as his peons. Nobody is really happy about it, even Grunty.

I'll be on tonight starting in about an hour (after the Bruins game) to play some Horde if anyone is interested in playing with one of the top 50 video game writers currently writing for 411mania and the man who stands bye the browniest browns of Gears of War 2.

Also, brown game is brown...but I'll be darned if it doesn't look awesome.

Banjo-Kazooie is one of the most addicting games I have played recently. It is awesome, and anyone who doesn't want to play it because it is not a traditional Banjo game is really missing out.
The only problem I have with the game is, because I am playing on a standard definition TV, the text is really small for some reason. Though Rare have already announced that they are releasing a patch for that, so I guess it's all I can ask for.

Roche stacked it in his favor though. Break down what he said:
top 50 - OK, so we've determined he must be AT LEAST 50th in the category he's shooting for video game writers - knocks down the number quite a bit currently writing - hmm, that takes it down considerably...
But would he make the top 50 still? It's certainly a case worth arguing, but that's probably not how he meant it. He meant 'currently writing' as in writing AT THAT VERY MOMENT, and it's unlikely that there were more than four or five guys writing something at the same instant.
So he's what...like fifth or sixth by that standard.
Grats, Joe!

Anyone wanna play some Horde tonight?
No it sounds like you suck.
When you get to the higher second digits you need to hole in an area and work together. (The levels reduce the number back to 1 every 10, but make the enemies stronger.)
So level 11 or 12 will be easier than 09 or 10.
