- Jerry Jarrett is back in the wrestling business, working with Reno Riggin's Showtime All-Star Wrestling. The company has a pilot taping on October 10th, and Jarrett is working to get them a syndicated TV deal. They will tape at the Nashville Fairgrounds, where TNA used to tape, and feature Kid Kash, Chase Stevens, Andy Douglas, Flash Flanagan, Cassidy Riley and Tracy Taylor. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

More From This:
Jerry Jarrett, who with his son Jeff and various investors launched TNA in 2002, is taking a shot at getting back into the wrestling business. He plans to shoot a pilot in Nashville,TN at the Fairgrounds, the old TNA Asylum, on October 10. The pilot will be shot in High Definition using mostly wrestlers who can easily get to Nashville to hold down initial expenses like former TNA star David Young who is confirmed. Others likely to be used are area stars like Chase Stevens, Andy Douglas, Wolfie D, Kid Kash and various wrestlers Jarrett is aware from visits to a local Nashville promotion, SAW (Showtime All-Star Wrestling).
Jarrett hopes to obtain some millions in international investor money should the pilot be well received, and has been telling folk he has TV interest from networks in the US, and several pending International deals.
I understand Coleman Productions in Nashville, who have been involved with various Nashville area television shows including those Bert Prentice & I produced in the late 1990's for Music City Wrestling & NWA Worldwide are involved in the pilot.
Since leaving TNA Jarrett has been spending most of his time in his successful Development & Cionstruction business.

Syndication is dead as a way of marketing a television show, so I see this going nowhere fast.
However, I love Kid Kash as a heel and Flash Fanagan was always underrated, so we could see some decent matches out of it if nothing else.

If they wanna succeed I got two ground rules for them:
1. No censorship...make it as "adult themed" as possible. Between PG-WWE and sappy TNA there's definitely a market for a more adult oriented wrestling show
2. Once #1 is taken care of, HIRE Jamie F'n Dundee. End of story.

When you consider the fact that the venue is closing, this looks doomed to fail.

SAW?
This promotion would be awesome if the lights came up on two guys locked in a cage with a voice over the loud speaker telling them they had to saw their limbs off to survive.
I would watch that.

I want to see an angle between Jamie Dundee and a black guy.
Any black guy. And I want Dundee to be severely drunk.
Hilarity will ensue.

There is some great talent in that area, but they will need a different venue. I heard (just like socalstrongstyle) that the Nashville Fairgrounds is pretty much done. Maybe they will only tape the "pilot" there.
Hope they have a great business plan and tons of patience.

Flair is selling nothing. Also, how is it the death of wrestling?

the death of wrestling is very subjective. I watch the shows just to stay informed but no way is raw today anything like it was in '98 when there was seemingly a title match every week.

What else is Flair going to do with the NWA title except put it in a display case? It's a belt that belongs to a dead promotion, if someone wants to pay me thousands of dollars for a replica belt then I'm selling it too.

I don't know. it might just be a belt but to me it symbolizes everything good about pro wrestling and how great it was back in the day. I get really depressed when former wrestlers sell their belts.

Well to Flair that belt symbolizes about 30 grand in his pocket that he can spend on lawyers.
