Same here.

I'm not big on watching matches, tv shows, movies, etc. on the internet.

Long overdue.

I guess we'll have Jeff to thank if his DVD gets scrapped in favor of Jericho's. Which is both funny and sad at the same time.

Sounds promising, but if it's going to be something the WWE cobbles together at the last minute, I'd rather they waited and did a Jericho DVD properly.

I was thinking the same thing.
As much as I want a doc. on Jericho, I want a multi-dvd set of his matches just as bad.

Yeah I have the same feeling too. I'm sure a Jericho DVD was in the cards for some time down the road but it's obvious it wasn't going to happen this year if it's just being shoe-horned in as a replacement for Jeff's DVD.

Both.

Both, leaning towards the matches a little more.

Both but I'm more of a documentary guy myself, I was disappointed with the documentary portion on the WCW DVD but like JD said in a review, they pretty much touched on WCW's history in other DVDs like The Horsement, Flair, some of the NWA DVD, the NWO DVD and the Monday Night Wars. Short of having Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett and some other guys come aboard and tell their side of story, there's not much else they can really say.

I'm also sure that if do decide on releasing a Jericho dvd of just his matches in December, i'm sure in they will release another dvd with the proper doc. on this career. If they can release multiple dvds on Hogan, HBK, Foley, Rock, HHH, i'm sure they'll do the same for him.

Are you sure that's on there? If I remember correctly, that was a "warm-up" match of sorts and not part of the actual tourney, but I could be wrong. Or I could be right and it could be on there anyway.

Anyway, it doesn't even compare to that tag team 12-man clusterfuck from Victory Road. That match was the shit.

It's there! They threw in 3 preview matches as extras.

Speed Muscle have another great match with Ultimo Guerrero and Rey Buccanero as well. The sound keeps cutting out in places though. Highly annoying.

I'm glad I decided to not buy the best of smackdown dvd after watching it. The whole VH-1 style was incredibly annoying, imo. However, there are some damn good matches involved in the set. That was the first time i've seen JBL/Eddie's cage match. Eddie's frog splash from the top of the cage was kick ass.

cover for the Hogan DVD...

And apparently the Wold Championship DVD will feature NWA/WCW stuff. I know people want them to link the title lineage, but just a DVD featuring 2002- stuff would've worked for me. A part of me is just bored with all the WCW and NWA love a lot of DVDs get.

When they announced that World Title DVD I figured that's when they would go back and reconnect the lineage. I hate the connection between the WCW Title and World Title, but I guess they want more content. I figured WWE would want to distance the title they main event with from the one around in the dying days of WCW.

the hogan dvd is cool. lotsa "unreleased" matches. gonna get it.

on another note: is the hardcore homecoming double dvd worth buying? I've read the list of matches and they look cool but I've also read the show wasn't much at all.

I received 16 dvds just yesterday.

cheating death stealing life
viva la raza
edge decade of decadence
hardcore homecoming
rise and fall of ecw
ecw most extreme matches
one night stand '05
one night stand '06
ecw extreme rules
the ultimate ric flair
the definitive ric flair
the essential starrcade
legacy of the awa
chris benoit hard knocks
rvd one of a kind
mick foley hits & misses

granted, I had most of these dvds a few years back but the sold them for whatever reason.

so far I've watched part of viva la raza and am pretty pissed off they eliminated benoit's tribute to eddie on raw. he's a killer and all but his feelings on eddie were genuine and to erase the promo he cut is very tasteless.

then I watched the first 2 discs of hardcore homecoming and if anything, that shows proves ecw vannot be without heyman. it simply doesn't function. I'm not saying it reeked of bush league, it just didn't feel like ecw at all.

I wanna see a brand new Ultimate Warrior 3 Disk DVD Set,
Not like the last one, that was only one disk and only had 5 full matches on it.

Here's my idea of a "New!" 3 Disk DVD Set for Ultimate Warrior...

"Matches Warrior or team-mates Won, Including Commentary from Warrior friends,
Legends & others being positive about Warrior, Not negative like the last Self Destruction DVD."

Title It:
Ultimate Destiny, Power & History
of: -The- Ultimate Warrior

DISK 1: [Full, Singles Matches]
against... Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Earthquake, Honky Tonk Man,
Demolition Smash, Rick Martel, Greg Valentine, Papa Shango, Owen Hart, Rick Rude,
Brian Knobbs, Skinner, Sgt. Slaughter, Undertaker, Hercules, Dino Bravo,
Jerry Lawler, Triple H, Andre The Giant, Isacc Yankem, Terry Gibbs,
Barry Horowitz, Ric Flair & more.

DISK 2: [Full, Tag Team Matches]
teaming up with... Hulk Hogan, Sting, Jim Duggan,
Undertaker, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Legion Of Doom & more.
Also including the 1990 Survivor Series Finale Match.

DISK 3: [Bonus / Extras]
Ultimate Maniacs storyline, WCCW, Bladerunners, Warrior Arsenio Hall, on Regis,
Slim Jim Commercial, Don't Smoke Promo, One Warrior Nation storyline/run in WCW,
1990 Thanksgiving Day Parade, Interviews, Promos, Returns at Wrestlemania VIII,
Storylines with Papa Shango, Andre, Jake Roberts, Undertaker,
Ending Brother Love Show, Dark Matches,
Other Matches Unreleased, Ultimate Warrior/Dingo Warrior
& more of the early days to present.

Looks like a pretty good set. The WWE matches are a little weak outside of Taker/Angle (which is a forgotten classic) and the Edge/Jeff ladder match but overall still decent. Nothing bad by any means.

Cool to see The Rock/Jericho match from No Mercy 2001 on there. Although really that was a 'WCW' title match in name only.

the florida matches alone are worth the buy. definitely better than other title-based dvds.

Ah...I couldn't remember about that one. My memory is bad when it comes to TV matches.

I can understand why some of the weaker ones are on there though. The HHH/RVD match was the first ever World Heavyweight Title match (and should be on there for historical purposes) and the others, while not great, all feature current big name WWE stars....Edge/Batista/Taker, Cena/Jericho, HHH/HBK.

Looks like a great set though. I'll probably pick this one up. Then again, I say that every time a good looking DVD comes out.

Hate to be nitpicky, but could you remove my last user title from the end of the new one? Thanks.

Actually it wasn't, as Triple H defended the title against Ric Flair the night he was awarded the title. Kind of surprised they didn't include that match.

Oops. Forgot about that. See what I mean about my memory of TV matches being bad?

Just an fyi, but the packaging for the Survivor Series Anthology is very cheap and flimsy. The copies I ordered from Amazon came with mushed outer edges, and when I took the first disc out, it tore part of the envelope (think SummerSlam set). I don't know if this sort of thing is going to be a deal breaker for everyone, but again, fyi.
