Ron Paul and Jerry Falwell: 'We caused them to hate us'
(05.26.2007)
Ron Paul recently commented at a Republican presidential debate on Fox News that 9/11 was the undesired result of US foreign policy or “blowback”. Republicans and many centrists were repelled by Paul’s statement prompting many on the left to remark - over and over again - about a lack of introspection on the right. Iraq Doesn’t Need Iran and Syria; It Needs a King
(11.22.2006)
Several media reports indicate that the Iraq Study Group chaired by former Secretary of State James Baker is close to revealing proposed strategies for dealing with Iraq. One of the expected policy shifts is expected to be a move towards diplomacy with Syria and Iran in order to gain their support in stopping the sectarian violence in Iraq. Quite simply, this course of action would be disastrous. |

The New Hero of the Democratic Party: President Richard Nixon
(11.17.2006)
It turns out modern day Democrats have quite a bit in common with the man they love to hate. While many Democratic leaders have made political hay by making comparisons to the Vietnam War there is one aspect of it they have studiously avoided mentioning; Vietnamization.
