Delvin Rodriguez(24-2-2, 14KO) and Isaac Hlatshwayo(28-1-1, 10KO) the number two and three ranked contenders respectively, are set for a rematch; this time for the IBF Welterweight Championship. There was some speculation on who would promote the matchup, but that is now settled. Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing won with their bid of $136,000, outbidding Branco Sports Productions, whose bid was $127,500.
The two fighters last fought each other in Hlatshwayo's native South Africa on November 17th, 2008, and fought to a controversial draw. Many at ringside felt that Rodriguez won that first encounter. He'll now have an opportunity to settle the issue of who is better, and also claim the IBF Welterweight Title. This time the fight is expected to take place in America with the date and location to soon be determined.
