And we're rolling... - 02.23.2008
I haven't blogged in like 2 years. But now I have. That is all. |

It just needed to be said. |

I think the title says it all.
Spread the word if you read this (all 10 of you). |

Holy shit kids, if you missed last nite's amazing finale, I suggest that you turn on VH1 any nite after 10pm and watch it.
While not the best Flavor of Love episode (i personally love the "fried chicken" one), there's enough suspense and drama throughout its 90 minutes.
I won't say right here if either Hoopz or New York won... actually, i will: CONGRATS HOOPZ!!! Flav was smart enough to bang NY and then kick her to the curb.
The best part was when Flav gave her a 14 karat gold Grill.
So Highly Recommended from me and prolly much better than Destination X. |

So I attended the Supershow on Monday and you can see all my signs on Friday Night Smackdown. But anyway, here's my newest question...
Why do they serve beer at arenas with lids and straws? I seriously do not understand why people want to drink beer out of a straw. Does it help you get drunk faster? Or are they too lazy to remove the top?
Lemme know. |

Why is it that when you open up a Dannon yogurt, there's always that watery stuff on the top, but when you open a Yoplait yogurt, there's not?
If anyone knows, please let me know. |

If you go over to WWE Unlimited, you can watch this week's Kiss Cam segment. What makes it so awesome is that the camera does something I've always wanted to see happen, but never thought it would: it panned on two chicks to make out. And they did!!!
Wow, I surely sound like a loser |

And we're rolling... - 01.28.2006
Just picked up two tickets to go see a WWE Supershow (both brand tapings) on Monday Feb 27th at the MCI Center in DC. Even better I'll be sitting on the fucking floor baby. For 50 bucks, I picked up a seat on the rampway so hopefully I'll be able to slap hands with the Boogeyman or at least Trish Stratus.
This puts me in a good mood to write my News Report. Holla.

Thanks to reader Nicholas for pointing out that I, yes I, was wrong. The Heart-Throb who wrestled was Antonio not Romeo even though I could have sworn that the other one was called Antonio last week. Am/was I thinking too hard about this?
Fuck man, I need a drink.
Congrats to Pitt and Seattle for winning today. Shall be an exciting Super Bowl. |

And we're rolling... - 01.20.2006
So McDonalds now has 6 piece chicken nuggets on their dollar menu. That's so fucking genius. I mean for 3 dollars I can get 6 free nuggets (in a sense). Forget going to restaurants when for 5 bucks I can get 30 chiken nuggets. And I love chicken.
Mark Henry rules dood. More on that tommorrow... I mean Sunday in my news report. |
 |
And we're rolling... - 01.19.2006
My Name is Earl was decent tonight. I'm not a huge fan of the Ralph character which probably spoiled this episode for me. I do love the fact that Kenny from the first episode is still around.
The Office was hillarious though. I missed last week's episode and I thought that Booze Cruise had a good story but just not that funny. This episode totally redeems it. From Michael trying to use "Updog", Dwight stalking Oscar and then being oblivious to the fact that he's gay, the Hooters scenes, and ending with Michael comparing himself to a prostitute, it was definetly a keeper. Steve Carrell totally deserved that Golden Globe. |

Disasterpiece follows...
I guess this is the end
To my dear New Orleans friend.
Between the rape of Michael Cole,
And the formation of the OLD,
You're storylines were quite less than gold.
We never found out who was Little Johnny
Nor did we get the tag team with Snitsky.
You might have been Big Bad John before
A frozen Nazi would have been hardcore.
But that definetly was not in store,
When all your matches were a bore,
But no one will miss your theme song more
Than me.
And that was a poem by Small.

I've been in Connecticut over the last few days and while the state is overly boring, I've gotten some good deals on WWE DVDs.
First I picked up Rebellion 2001 (featuring the Rock/Stone Cold match that never happened in the states and Angle/Jericho) for 7 bucks.
The better deal happened when I went to FYE (known in CT as Strawberries) where I picked up the Bret Hart DVD along with an ultracool WWE Skull Cap for $13 with tax.
I'm rich, bitches. That's all for now. |

Not in the mood to write a full review (nor was I planning on it at any point). Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.
For those of you who hated the last Strokes album, Room on Fire, just cause it was just like Is This It? cannot use that excuse on their newest cd, First Impressions on Earth. Shitty title aside, the new album is nothing like the Strokes have done before. Basically, the band decided to somewhat start over and try something new. And for the most part, it succeeds.
Positives: The album is a mess of different influences. Some songs are overly new wave ("Electricityscape"), others are closer to punk music ("Heart in a Cage"), and one sounds like the Postal Service ("Ask Me Anything"). Musically it's different enough that for the most part the album does not blend together. The rhythm section is quite kickass. Without the distoration, the band sounds cleaner and at times Julian's vocals shine ("You Only Live Once" and "Razorblade").
Negatives: The album's length. The first two albums clock in at just above 30 minutes over 11 songs. This album runs at over 52 minutes over 14 songs. While the songs are varied in terms of length (which is a positive), some are overly long ("15 Minutes" "Killing Lies") and the album starts to get boring towards the end. If they cut out 2/3 songs, this would have been a much stronger effort. This is partly due to the band's reliance on repetitive phrases ("Fear of Sleep" and "Killing Lies") or that Julian's vocals do not match the music ("15 Minutes"). Speaking of his voice, at times, his vocals are scratchy ("Juicebox") or muddled ("Red Light") which can distract/blend too much from/into the music.
So to wrap up, download the songs below and make your own personal opinions. If you hated or loved the band before, you're opinion might be much different after hearing this new album. Personally, after a couple of spins, it grew on me and I like it.
Final Score: 7.5
Download: "Electricityscape" "Heart in a Cage" "You Only Live Once" "Razorblade"

And we're rolling... - 01.08.2006
Man what the f**k. I was only kidding when I said that the WWE writers are alien but after reading the results of tonight's PPV, I think they just might be. First, the simulation I ran on Smackdown vs Raw not only predicted more matches correct but also two correct finishes (in the Flair and Trish matches). Secondly, why does the WWE have to ruin any semi-TnA moment with Mae Young. The joke was funny back in 2000, not in 2006. Thirdly, what the hell was with the booking in the Elimination Chamber? HBK goes down cleanly without Vince in sight. I don't have a problem with Edge being champ, just upset that I didn't predict it in the Roundtable.
Secondly, as a Jets fan, I'm very happy with the Giants's loss. The team didn't play a great game since they lost to the Seahawks over Thanksgiving. Hell their massacre of the Redskins in October was their shining moment.
It sucks about Carson Palmer. He's going to be out one year and will miss all of next season and all of Chad Johnson's great TD celebrations.
Vince Young to go pro! Good for him.
The Nets played an awesome game today. In what was the biggest shock to any Canadian crowd since Bret Hart was screwed, Vince Carter hit an almost half-court three (with hand in face) to beat his old team (Toronto) with 0.1 seconds left. 10 in a row for the Nets and they are gonna need all the luck when they play San Antonio on Tuesday.
That's all I got for now. Need some sleep, bitches.

And we're rolling... - 01.06.2006
First off I was lucky enough to get to see the Nets win their 9th game tonight against the Orlando Magic. Jason Kidd got his 69th career triple-double. After the game, I was wondering what the record for most triple doubles are. Turns out that Oscar Robertson who played the game way before my time is the NBA leader with 181 triple doubles! Holy shit. Kidd is 4th on the list at the moment and only needs 9 more to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for 3rd.
Second off, I got to watch American Pie: Band Camp this week and let me say it's kinda shitty. I was never a huge fan of the Stifler character (which is why I can't stand the 3rd movie) and to make a movie where some lesser jabroni plays a lesser Stifler character is just weak. Obviously the movie succeeds by showing boobies but there's still plenty of better boobie movies. For the 5 bucks I paid to rent it, I would save that money and go to a matinee of Grandma's Boy or Munich or Cheaper by the Dozen 2. "One of these things is not like the others..."
In other news, I also watched R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet saga. Needless to say, a review of that will be in another blog entry.
For now, that is all.

And we're rolling... - 01.04.2006
Holy fucking shit! I never thought the National Championship game would be more exciting than last night's FSU/PSU game. I also never thought that Texas would win. How wrong I was.
Boy did Reggie Bush underperform tonite. It wasn't his fault or nothing, but if the Heisman were to be decided tonight, he wouldn't be winning it.
Congrats to Vince Young-> 267 passing yards, 200 rushing yards and of course carrying the state of Texas on his back. I know Dubbya is happy tonite.
According to ESPN's Mock Draft 1, Young was projected to go to the Jets at the 4th pick. Obviously, his stock has rose enough to warrant the 2nd pick to New Orleans. Hell he might stay another year in Texas (I wouldn't though).
Regardless, what a fucking game and I'm gonna be missing college football until next August.

 |
And we're rolling... - 01.04.2006
What a game last nite! It was a definetly rough game for both kickers as there were 4 missed FGs in the game (2 a piece) and 1 missed extra point. You would think there would be a suicide watch on the FSU's kicker, but I guess they are used to losing by a missed FG by now.
Tonight's game won't even compare to the 3OT classic of last nite. USC's gonna win in a landslide. You can bank on it! |
 |
And we're rolling... - 01.02.2006
I actually got to see a sneak preview of Grandma's Boy about 3 weeks ago and I have to say it's a decent, albeit largely plotless, movie. It's pretty damn funny at times but cannot compare to other recent comedies like the Wedding Crashers or the 40 Year Old Virgin. Hell, it's basically a Adam Sandler movie without Adam Sandler.
I wouldn't pay no more than like $6 bucks to see it though (a standard matinee price by me).
