Name:Stephen Mogan
Email:smogan@gmail.com
Current Roles:I write the bi-weekly 'Indie Theater' looking at the best in new and classic music videos.
Past Roles:None
Other credits:Check me out at www.monkeygrump.com and www.popjustice.com. I also found that picture of Burt Reynolds made out of lego for my profile. That's quite an achievement, I feel.
Quote:"I don't think that's the right call" - Jack Bauer, 24. In every damn episode. When will it be the right call, Jack?
History:I used to write 'The Untouchables' column before I was nearly crushed by the weight of nostalgia I unleashed in writing it.

And we're rolling... - 05.15.2006

Based on the first episode, I doubt my wrestling podcast is going any further. I'm waaaaaaaay too monotone for that sort of thing. Leave it to the professionals, jackoff!

However, I should be back to writing columns semi-regularly from now on. It's going to be similar to The Untouchables but more current. Hiatus over. Hurrah!

Csonka you genius!

Samoa Joe in my home town? I like that idea.
And we're rolling... - 03.07.2006

I know this is a little late, but I thought I'd best make it clear that I'm on hiatus from the site at the moment due to a pile-up of work in real life. Fear not, I will be back soon - maybe with the Untouchables, maybe with something new. Who knows? Everybody take it easy and go listen to Ricky Gervais' podcasts, I haven't laughed that much in ages.
And we're rolling... - 01.22.2006

Man, they were horrible. I can't believe I ingested those. Christ. Eurgh. Yuck. Just disgusting. Tasted like old shoes. Can't get the taste out even 3 days later. Blargh. Would rather suck my own toes. Tastebuds have left town in protest. Urgh. Puke. Shave the hair off my own legs and eat it on toast rather than eat that crap again. Barf...

*Several minutes later*

...The Secret Machines were awesome, though. They played almost two hours, which was pretty good considering my ticket only cost £10. Unfortunately my girlfriend Kate couldn't make it at the last minute so I went alone and sold my other ticket to a tout. For £2.10. In change. WTF? I should have just kept it. Then again I did show up like 2 minutes before the band came on stage. God the place was packed. It's the first time I've ever been to a gig on my own and I tell ya, never again. It's horrible. Especially coming in late; everytime you see a bit of space where you could stand you end up next to a group of friends who keep giving you the "who the hell is this guy?" looks. Embarrassing. Band were amazing though, the lights and stuff were top notch and the guys themselves were just incredible. Their drummer is the steadiest I've ever seen, he was like a robot or something (or, perhaps, a 'secret machine'...heh heh heh), didn't miss a beat. They made a hell of a noise for three people, almost blinded everybody with the spotlights and made us all spazz out with the strobe lights, before finishing with a drone of white noise that left my ears ringing. I nearly puked! Woohoo! Awesoooooooome! Everybody go download the album ("Now Here Is Nowhere") and the b-side titled "Better Bring Your Friends". Genius x3. Candidates for the next 3 Untouchables are: Guns 'n' Roses, The Clash and Oasis (oooh, debatable) but I dunno in what order yet. Any ideas? Email me. Hey look, I did my profile. Go me.
And we're rolling... - 01.19.2006

No sooner do I post that I missed Brian and Ian's columns do I discover that they have indeed posted them this week. Then I find out that "aleung"...

You remember this guy

is actually a writer here at 411mania! Egg is all over my face, I tell ya. I was so close with "Andy" too, it's actually Anthony Leung, and he's done a very fair and balanced review of the Strokes album over on 411music. Go there and read now.

I'm off to eat two very suspect looking "hickory bacon chops" (I'm all out of decent food!) and then go see the Secret Machines. Woohoo!
And we're rolling... - 01.01.2006

Just a quick test to see if this works. Man I feel horrible...don't overdo it on the holidays, kids.
