TNA'S OFFICIAL "PLEASE BUY OUR PAY-PER-VIEW" VIDEO:

TNA Lockdown 2009

THE CARD:

SIX SIDES OF STEEL: TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
"The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley vs. Champion "The Icon" Sting

Julian Bond: I hope and pray that these two pull out all of the big guns for this match. Love Sting. Love Foley. But the obvious reality is that these two are reaching up there in age and aren't as crisp as they used to be. I was originally thinking that that someone younger (i.e. Joe or Styles) was going to get over by finally ending Sting's reign…but now I have a strong feeling that with the Philly crowd cheering for ECW alum Foley and with Sting slowly whining it down, Foley may the chosen one now to get one last final Heavyweight Title reign in his career.

Winner: And NEW TNA World Champion Mick Foley

Michael Weyer: Like many, I'm still bugged at yet another "two guys long past their prime put in main event" scenario but living with it. It should be a fair match but I'm not expecting anything sensational as both guys are a bit battered and might not be as eager to go all out. I don't see Foley winning, he doesn't need a title anymore but the win should boost Sting a bit more. Let's hope it's at least good.

WINNER: And still TNA World Champion Sting

Andy Clark: I've been looking forward to this match since Mick joined TNA and they have not disappointed in the build. While I'd love to see Foley get one more run with a World Title, Sting should hold the belt until Slammiversary. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Foley eventually join the Main Event Mafia, perhaps even at this show.

Winner: And STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting

Owain J. Brimfield: Despite the fact that both combatants are broken down, the hype for this matchup has been pretty damn solid. There's no sense in Foley pulling out the victory, and Sting needs to give the rub to one of the TNA originals.

Winner: Sting

Chris Lansdell: I'm trying to care, and the build for the match has almost made me care, but the fail was epic. The match is going to be hard to watch, plain and simple, and my only hope is...

Winner: HERNANDEZ BITCHES!

Jeremy Thomas: I know, I know...Sting and Foley are both broken-down individuals. I still can't help but be just a little bit psyched for this. The build has been very good and I never got to see the original Foley/Sting stuff, so there's the little kid in me that wants to pretend this is my chance to see what I missed...you know, other than the whole "they're nowhere near what they used to be" thing. Who needs logic? Anyway, I am going to use some logic in the booking, and that logic is that Sting has defied all odds time and again and Mick doesn't need the belt. The only way I see this going Foley's way is if the two "former World Champions" that are going to show up do so to help him out, but I think the odds are much greater that Sting walks away from another Pay-Per-View as the champ.

Winner: Sting (Scorpion Death-Drop; STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion)

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett at next month's PPV? 2009 TNA = 2000 WCW. Now that's deserving of a DAMN Moment of the Year. As much as Khali hopes this match will be as good as his Punjabi Prison match against Batista, he knows it won't be.

Winner: Sting

Sat: The build for this match has been fantastic, but the main question is can they deliver in the ring. I think that they will have a good match, but nowhere near a classic that they have been hoping for. As for the winner, I just can't see Mick Foley walking out with the title.

Winner: Sting

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Sting (6-1-1)

SIX SIDES OF STEEL: THE RETURN OF THE LETHAL LOCKDOWN
Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Booker T, Scott Steiner & Kevin Nash) vs. Team Jarrett (Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe & Christopher Daniels)

Julian Bond: This should be an awesome bout, especially with the returning Christopher Daniels. I think that the Frontline gets yet another big win to help, now in my mind, FINALLY wrap this long-winded feud up.

Winners: Team Jarrett

Michael Weyer: The feud needs a push for the Frontline and the fact they've got a mystery partner means odds are good for them. Expect a good battle all around and I'm sure we'll get some sweet bloody spots too as this program needs a great epic battle.

Winners: Team Jarrett

Andy Clark: Despite the fact that I like the five man format better, I'm really looking forward to this match. The MEM has been great all along and the face team should be awesome. I think the faces need to win here but Joe could be the Wildcard that throws everything off. This is really a toss up thanks to Joe and his "nation of violence."

Winners: Team Jarrett

Owain J. Brimfield: Daniels FTW! This is the perfect opportunity to give a BIG push to the homegrown TNA guys. Just have Jarrett incapacitated before the match and Joe, AJ and Daniels pull out the win against the odds.

Winners: Team Jarrett

Jeremy Thomas: It IS great to see Daniels back and not under a mask finally, and I hope he ends up pushed to the muddafuggin' moon. As wonky as the TNA booking is at times, I just don't see them letting Old n' Broken get a win here over New Hotness, especially when the Main Event Mafia has held on so strong for all these months. This should be a good-to-excellent match with Team Jarrett picking up the huge win.

Winners: Team Jarrett

Chris Lansdell: Hands up all those who think this is where the Front Line gets their big win? Go to the back of the class and put on the dunce cap. This angle can and must only end with AJ, Joe or as an outside shot Daniels winning the title from Sting or Angle. They've done a great job building up a Jarrett turn and I think they pull the trigger here.

Winner: Team Angle

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): While the Great Khali has never wrestled for Vince Russo, he can smell a swerve like he can smell fresh chicken ten miles away. Jarrett will turn on AJ Styles and join the MEM.

Winner: Team Angle

Sat: This match is a hard one for me to pick here because I think the argument can be made for both sides. But, I think the return of Christopher Daniels and the fact that the Main Event Mafia has won most of this feud leads me to pick the Frontline.

Winner: Team Jarrett

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Team Jarrett (Jarrett, Styles, Joe & Daniels) (6-2)

SIX SIDES OF STEEL: WORLD TAG TEAM DOMINATION - TITLE VS. TITLE
IWGP Champions Team 3D vs. TNA Champions Beer Money, Inc.

Julian Bond: This feud honestly has been set-up and highly anticipated a tiny little bit more than the Frontline/Mafia feud in my opinion. The whole "mutual respect" thing between the two has definitely made it more than just another tag title match. Some may figure that Beer Money takes it here to finally put them over big time, BUT with the Philly crowd, Team 3D should take it to make themselves seem like an even bigger "legendary" team to beat…so when Beer Money DOES beat them they will indefinitely go over big time. Should be sleeper match of night.

Winner: And NEW TNA Tag Team and IWGP Tag Team Champions Team 3D

Michael Weyer: This has been a good set up feud and merging the belts is an intriguing plan. Beer Money is overdue for a title loss and TNA does love to push Team 3D as multiple champs so it makes sense they get it here to add to their legacy.

Winners: And NEW TNA AND IWGP Champions Team 3D

Andy Clark: This match has been built up really well, but I'm kind of disappointed that most of the action, if not all, will take place outside of the cage. I'd love to see Beer Money win just to stick it to that scumbag city, but I'd imagine Team 3D gets the belt on "home court."

Winners: And STILL IWGP Tag Team Champions and NEW TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3D

Owain J. Brimfield: I'm genuinely unsure about this one. The buildup suggests a victory for 3D, but would they really pull the IWGP title switch here?

Winners: Beer! Money!

Chris Lansdell: Even if I could see Beer Money becoming IWGP tag champs (and I can't...yet), I cannot see it happening on US soil. Japanese belts RARELY change hands outside Japan. On the other hand, giving Team 3D one last run with the gold (presumably) is far less unusual.

Winners: Team 3D

Jeremy Thomas: I love me some Beer Money. But this feud's, as much as I've enjoyed it, needs a title switch and it's not gonna be the IWGP belts. This should be a good, brutal brawl that sees Team 3D regain the TNA Tag belts like, honestly, they should have last month.

Winners: Team 3D (Devon pins Roode; STILL IWGP Tag Team Champions & NEW TNA World Tag Team Champions)

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): The Great Khali loves Beer Money. Almost as much as squeezing people's brains. Sadly, Khali knows that Beer Money is not winning the blowoff to this feud.

Winners: Team 3D

Sat: I would have liked to have seen Beer Money win here though, but as I wrote above, I can't see the IWGP tag team titles changing hands on a TNA pay per view, so that leads me to believe that Team 3D is winning. This will definitely be a violent match though.

Winners: Team 3D

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Team 3D (7-1)

X DIVISION XSCAPE MATCH FOR THE X CHAMPIONSHIP
Black Machismo vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Consequences Creed vs. Kiyoshi vs. (c) Suicide

Julian Bond: Another nice match here. I don't think Suicide won't give up the belt till someone threatens to unmask him and I believe that Bashir will the one to do so. So with this…

Winner: And STILL X-Division Champion Suicide

Michael Weyer: This match is always fun and this lineup promises some nice spots and action. With rumors of Daniels returning as himself, a title change is necessary. For the new champ, nice to see Creed or Lethal back but I'll go with Kiyoshi as TNA might want to try someone new there.

Winner: And NEW X Division Champion Kiyoshi

Andy Clark: These matches are always fun and I would expect no less this year. Suicide just got the belt so I wouldn't expect him to lose, but expect a good showing from Kiyoshi here.

Winner: And STILL TNA X-Division Champion Suicide

Owain J. Brimfield: Oh, how I'd love to see Kazarian back without the mask. He'll have to carry on the gimmick for a little while, though.

Winner: Suicide

Chris Lansdell: Boy Suicide has it easy here. He just gets to stand back and watch the two tag teams kill each other, then pick one and hit the Suicide Bomb or whatever he calls his finish and win it. Of course he won't do that, we'll have a 12-minute spotfest that will make the fingers of the poor bastard reviewing it spontaneously combust, and Suicide will be left standing. I'll note here that if the LAX-No Limit-Guns match goes before this, Homicide might well cash in after this match, but if that is going to happen Bashir or Kiyoshi will win to further the "America is biased!" angle.

Winner: Suicide (probably)

Jeremy Thomas: With Kaz back behind the mask, this is a great opportunity for him to rock out. It's common parlance for us to say the X-Division Title matches will be the matches of the night, and that's because it's almost always true. Everyone will look strong here, but in the end, Suicide's going to Xscape with the X-Title.

Winner: Suicide (STILL TNA X-Division Champion)

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): The Great Khali will root for Runjin's friend Sheik Abdul Bashir. Even though Bashir has little chance at winning, Khali will play wingman for once.

Winner: Sheik Abdul Bashir

Sat: This will be a fun match, but the outcome is pretty easy to figure out. With Kaz coming back, I can't see the title being taken away so quickly.

Winner: Suicide

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Suicide (6-2)

TNA KNOCKOUTS WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP
Taylor Wilde vs. Angelina Love vs. (c) Awesome Kong

b>Julian Bond: I've been calling a title change from Kong for the last few months now from Christy Hemme to Roxie and I'm getting sick and tired of getting it wrong!!! So I hope and believe wholeheartedly it will finally come correct now. Kong has worn her welcome (despite being the shit) with the belt and Wilde is still working her way on up. So the long overdue and underrated challenger Angelina Love should finally take it here.

Winner: And NEW TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love

Michael Weyer: I'm tied of Kong as champ but I just don't see it going down here. I've been wrong before saying title changes were coming so I'll be safer and pick Kong to win after Sky interferes to cost Love and Wilde.

Winner: And still TNA Knockout Champion Awesome Kong

Andy Clark: I know that Kong has been feuding with the Beautiful People, but why is Wilde in yet another title match? This could have been an interesting dynamic had they added Velvet Sky to the mix, but they haven't done a particularly good job of differentiating the two so its akward just watching one of them. Despite this I think that the BP should probably head to the front of the Knockouts pack to spice things up a bit.

Winner: And NEW TNA Knockout's Champion Angelina Love

Owain J. Brimfield: While it's a given that Kong kills bitches, her current reign is a little stale and the Beautiful People seem to have the run of the Knockout division recently. I smell a title change.

Winner: Angelina Love

Chris Lansdell: First of all, I am contractually obliged to point out that Kong kills bitches dead. With that said, it might well be time to take the belt off Kong, and this format allows that to happen without Kong being pinned. Random bitch killings will ensue.

Winner: Angelina Love

Jeremy Thomas: Why is Taylor Wilde in this? Well, to take the fall, of course. The Knockouts Title is long overdue for a title change and Love seems to be the right person for the job right now, but TNA seems adamant on protecting Kong--which, really, isn't that bad of a thing. I could have understood Sky in this, but without her at least we don't have the standard Russo "Tag Team Partners Don't Get Along" thing during the match. I think Love pins Wilde while Kong is distracted, allowing her to get her first Knockout Title reign.

Winner: Angelina Love (Pins Taylor Wilde; NEW TNA Knockouts Champion)

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): The Great Khali wishes Awesome Kong would leave TNA and join the WWE. Then the Khali Kiss Kam would be complete.

Winner: Awesome Kong

Sat:: I want to go with Awesome Kong here, but something tells me we are in for a title change. Awesome Kong has had a long run and Taylor Wilde is in this match. So, I see Angelina Love getting the win by winning Taylor Wilde.

Winner: Angelina Love

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Angelina Love (6-2)

QUEEN OF THE CAGE MATCH
ODB vs. Madison Rayne vs. Daffney vs. Sojo Bolt

Julian Bond: Me thinking that the winner of this needs to be someone new who needs a little push. So with ODB already established, Bolt already getting a PPV title shot, and Rayne being grouped up with The Beautiful People, the recently re-dubbed "Governor" Daffney should grab the win.

Winner: Daffney

Michael Weyer: Kong needs some fresh meat for challenges and this provides some possibilities. Rayne and Bolt seem good but still a bit too new while ODB has had her chances. So, I'll go with Daffney who can hopefully rise above that stupid "Governor" gimmick and prove herself.

Winner: Daffney

Andy Clark: I think this match comes down to either Madison Rayne or Daffney. Since dropping the Governor gimmick Daffney has impressed as her old self, so I'd like to see her get the win here. Plus she's a newer face to the lame Knockout's Division and would be a nice challenger for whoever wins the title match.

Winner: Daffney

Owain J. Brimfield: "Meh" of the night, but this is a relatively original matchup. Common sense would dictate giving the win to the kind-of-debuting Daffney. But...

Winner: ODB

Chris Lansdell: There's not much to choose between these four, especially with Daffney and Rayne being new. However ODB has just been given a boyfriend and remains over for some reason, so a win here would seem like the smart thing to do, especially with nothing riding on the match.

Winner: ODB

Jeremy Thomas: ODB is dead in the water for me. Sorry, just not buying it anymore. Daffney's too new, though I would almost prefer she win because she'd be a total breath of fresh air to the division. However, since whoever wins here is probably the next to contend for the Knockout Title and I picked a title switch there, they'll want someone who the new champion can beat, and I don't want to see Daffney beaten that quickly. They had the confidence to put Sojo Bolt in the Knockouts Title match last month, so I think they go with her here so she can lose to Love in the first big title defense.

Winner: Sojo Bolt

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): The Great Khali wishes that he was the special guest referee in this match. Four sexy women + the Punjabi Playboy = many buys.

Winner: ODB

Sat: I really see two options here and they are Daffney and ODB. I could see ODB winning here, but I think that TNA gives the win to Daffney to establish her as a threat for the Knockouts Title..

Winner: Daffney

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Daffney (4-3-1)

NEW JAPAN JR. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
The Latin American Xchange vs. No Limit vs. (c) The Motor City Machineguns

Julian Bond: This should be a very interesting bout here with these three diverse teams. I take the Guns here because I believe that the duo is finally getting a real well-deserved push.

Winner: And STILL IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions MCMG

Michael Weyer: I still don't understand exactly what this belt is doing in TNA but at least it gives us more tag fun. LAX and No Limits are good but the MCMG are long past due for a big push and I don't see it cut short just yet.

Winner: And STILL IWGP Jr Tag Team Champions The MCMG

Andy Clark: This match should be really good, although can Hernandez even compete for these titles? Regardless I think we'll probably see something crazy from Super Mex to prove he belongs. I'm always leary about picking title changes for title from other promotions, so I saw the Guns retain.

Winners: And STILL IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns

Owain J. Brimfield: Sleeper of the night, but surely there's no IWGP title change on an American PPV?

Winners MCMG

Chris Lansdell: For reasons that will become obvious later in this column, I am ruling out LAX right away. In fact even if it weren't for those reasons, I would rule them out. No Limit will probably win the titles back eventually, but not here.

Winners: MCMG

Jeremy Thomas: I wouldn't count No Limit out, as it would get the IWGP belts on a foreign team and would give them some major cred. That being said, I don't think it's going to happen and the most sense seems to be Shelley and Sabin retaining in what is going to be a killer match.

Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns (Shelly pins Homicide; STILL IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions)

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): Vince told me that tag team wrestling does not matter. Then why does TNA have two sets of champions?

Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns

Sat: I definitely see this being one hell of a match. I see the Motor City Machine Guns winning this match for a few reasons. First, I don't see the IWGP Jr Tag Team Titles changing hands on a TNA pay per view. Second, the addition of LAX in this match leads me to believe that TNA wants to do the Motor City Machine Guns and No Limit at the next pay per view.

Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Motor City Machine Guns (8-0)

Doomsday Chamber of Blood Match
Abyss vs. Matt Morgan

Julian Bond: Wow…this potentially good feud has went DOA real quick. Oh well. Not too interested in it, but expect Morgan after some possible shenanigans from Dr. Stevie.

Winner: Matt Morgan

Michael Weyer: Can't have an Abyss cage match without a wild title. Sadly, this promising feud just hasn't clicked for me and starting to get a bit long now. I'll give it to Abyss as it's his style of matchup and hope it's a good one.

Winner: Abyss

Andy Clark: Say what you will about some of Russo's gimmicks, but at least he uses them more than once to try and build a history. If I remember correctly this is the rubber match, although I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean it's the blowoff. I saw Abyss wins here just because it'll be easier to get a good blood shot from Morgan.

Winner: Abyss

Owain J. Brimfield: I'm not sure the contrivance of the Doomsday Chamber is really needed, especially since the last matchup of this kind was the last major televised match of a certain recently deceased Punisher. That said, Morgan could do with the win here to cement a solid heel push.

Winner: Matt Morgan

Chris Lansdell: The name of this match is missing something isn't it? Don't want to throw a "Clockwork Orang House of FuN" in there? Or maybe call it "Doomsday Chamber of Blood and Extreme Discomfort"? All I know is that these two have potential to put on a really solid impact match, but they have to do more than go through the paces like they have the last two times out. Abyss really needs a win here having lost a few recently.

Winner: Abyss

Jeremy Thomas: Abyss could easily get the win here and I don't doubt that he might, but I feel like Morgan really needs the win more. I'm really tired of this storyline and think that it's been driven way into the ground, so hopefully this will end it and both men can move on. The two guys do work pretty well off each other so this could be a fun match, so there is that at least.

Winner: Matt Morgan

The Great Khali (Jeff Small): The Great Khali would chop both men like the Magic Bullet. Perhaps it's time for Matt Morgan to go back to the stutter.

Winner: Matt Morgan

Sat: This will be just like any usual Abyss match. I see Dr. Stevie having an impact on this match which leads to Matt Morgan getting the win.

Winner: Matt Morgan

411Mania Roundtable Consensus: Matt Morgan (5-3)

There you have it folks. And now for the monthly Roundtable awards…the 411Mania staff's sure pick of the show and anyone's game match!

Sure Pick of the Show: Motor City Machine Guns over No Limit & LAX (8-0)
Anyone's Game: Queen of the Cage (4 for Daffney, 3 for ODB, 1 for Sojo Bolt)

And of course...the standings Year-to-Date!

Matt Short: 22 of 27 (81.48%)
Rob McNew: 10 of 13 (76.92%)
Julian Bond: 31 of 43 (72.09%)
Owain Brimfield: 42 of 63 (66.67%)
Shawn Lealos: 12 of 18 (66.67%)
Dan Torkel: 42 of 64 (65.63%)
Chris Lansdell: 34 of 55 (61.82%)
Jeremy Thomas: 43 of 70 (61.43%)
Gavin Napier: 7 of 12 (58.33%)
Michael Weyer: 38 of 71 (53.52%)
Larry Csonka: 19 of 36 (52.78%)
Jarrod Westerfeld: 33 of 63 (52.38%)
Robert S. Leighty Jr: 22 of 42 (52.38%)
Bayani Domingo: 9 of 18 (50.00%)
Dan Wilcox: 7 of 14 (50.00%)
Andy Clark: 32 of 65 (49.23%)
James Craig: 13 of 27 (48.15%)

Matt Short still has the lead for now, but it's certainly close and by no means is the winner in the bag!

And, of course, don't forget to join us Sunday night for LIVE coverage starting at 8pm!

Really looking forward to this ppv. The lethal Lockdown match will easily be a contender for Moty. MCMG Vs L A X Vs No Limit could steal the show. Beer Money Vs Team 3-D has been incredibly built. It is nice to see TNA pushing tag team as a big deal considering the WWE competely ignores tag wrestling. I think it should be an excellent match with massive heat and intensity. I think it's time for Kong to drop the Knockouts title. Abyss Vs Morgan's feud has lost all it's steam and they need to have a good match to rebuilt both characters. Morgan has really lost some luster the last few months. The X Division match should be a real good match and wouldn't be a bad idea to start the ppv with it. I expect Foley and Sting to surprise and put on a good match. Imo they'll go all out to put on a good match and Foley will likely take some crazy bumps and the barbed wire bat will come into play. Foley is the biggest Sting fan there is so he'll do anything to make the match memorable. This has a good chance of being the best ppv of this early year.

What's the point of The Great Khali garbage? For all that is holy and pure in this world, there's no need to try to be cute. Just prove that you actually watch the product with a few sentences and then make your pick. It's not terribly difficult.

What the heck happened to Roxxi? Did she die and no one bothered to inform me? She really needs to find a wig, throw the makeup gun on "whore" and do her crazy, Gambit dancing again. I know it was a year ago but come on, TNA. She shaved her head for you. She's a little more deserving of a PPV match then generic blonde girl and general black girl.

Kaz has fans? He's a solid wrestler but Charlie Haas has more personality than Kaz.

TNA has the most boring champs ever right now. Sting? He hasn't been interesting since... well, that's the end of that sentence. Awesome Kong does indeed kill bitches dead but I'd rather see Raisha Saeed. We've already covered Kaz. Beer Money is the only saving grace and you just know they'll drop the titles to the Dudleyz.

I'm torn on the main event picture. I'd really like to see Daniels be the savior of the Frontline that takes the TNA title from Sting where Styles and Joe failed but I also would love to see Hernandez case in his shot. Is it exactly like MitB where he has a year or not?

I have no doubt that the two matches involving X-Division guys will be great and it'll be fun just to see Daniels on PPV again teaming with Joe and Styles but other than that I'm a tad bummed with this PPV. I'd be somewhat excited for the tag title match if even a tiny part of me thought Beer Money would get the win they deserve.

Oh, and I should legally be allowed to take a shotgun to the sack of anyone of those iMPACT! Zone rejects that actually cheers for ODB.

"What the heck happened to Roxxi?"

From my understanding, she had family issues to take care of.

As for Lockdown. I'm looking forward to it. The Guns/LAX/No Limit looks sick, Lethal Lockdown is always good and the Xscape match is always fun. 3D/Beer Money has had great build and I expect a hell of a match. And I believe Sting vs. Foley will be better then we think (by that I mean *** to *** 1/2 which beats Orton/HHH right)

"She really needs to find a wig, throw the makeup gun on "whore""

Ron, I love you for that Simpsons refrence

I think it's time for Kong to drop the Knockouts title. Abyss Vs Morgan's feud has lost all it's steam and they need to have a good match to rebuild both characters.

Seriously, anything Abyss is doing should immediately be labeled "Outlasting it's welcome feud of the moment".

The undercard this year is far superior to the undercard for Lockdown 2008.

Last year we had Kip James vs B.G James, a Cuffed in the Cage match and a Booker T & Sharmell vs Robert Roode & Payton Banks intergender match. I don't see a single match on this year's card that you could compare to those awful bouts. I actually don't see a single bad match on this card at all, Queen of the Cage is the weakest match there and that isn't horrible. Should be a good PPV.

I would look for MCMG Vs LAX Vs No Limit to steal the show this year.

On paper, this looks like it could be a great PPV. Can't get a feel for how some of this will go down, which makes it that much more interesting to me.

There is a good chance that Foley will beat Sting here. We're not that far away from King Of The Mountain, so a short Foley reign between now and then isn't out of the question.

Based on Foley's mike work lately, I'm all for that, but I think Sting's title run will continue. I never expected this long a title run for him, but what the heck? Who knew Sting = ratings?

Team 3D will probably win the match with Beer Money.

Guns will probably win.

Team Angle will win, but I'm not looking for Jarrett to turn... Yet. The way I see it, Jarrett only turns heel if Angle is on his way out of the company. Plus, wasn't there talk of Jarrett wanting a face title run? King Of The Mountain is just around the corner. Guess we'll see.

Seems like they are trying to make Kong a face now. Why, I don't know. Angelina Love will probably win. I don't know. She really doesn't impress me. They need to cut back a little bit on the comedy with ODB and make her the one who beats Kong for the title. Had she gone up from OVW to WWE, she would have been champ by now.

Suicide will probably retain, but I'm not impressed with the character. Seems a waste of a buildup for Kaz to me. Still should be a good match.

ODB for Queen Of The Cage and Abyss over Morgan as the feud continues.

yea this sounds like a great ppv the build up i have very thought was very good some times great. hell foley did say something right when he said nobody was talking about mania and every one was talking about lockdown. come on serously every one new micheals and taker was going to be great but besides steamboat being awesome like normal no one really said anything good about it. but every one seem definlty interested about lockdown. from what hell will mick do inside a steel cage with sting, which ever since this thurasday i some what marked out for great crazy promo, i won't be surprised to see them go out and have a really good match. then who r the two former world champions they have sign . would be kool if one is tazz but there is so many people out who is the other one and has anyone thought maybe its not wwe maybe r o h, or new japan/all japan. 3d/beer money i really think is gonna be just a blood bath gotta love them. 3 way junior tag match i just can;t wait for. i have always like the xscape match too. but to be dead honnest this leathal lockdown match has been the greatest built lockdown match ever really most the time the build is kinda basic/ also another one of my favorite matchs of the year.

People seem to be shitting on Sting v Foley. While its not gonna be Taker v HBK by any means, I do believe they are capable of pulling out a good match. The cage adds to it being Foley and it should get pretty intense.

I give props to TNA for focusing on Tag Teams and Women's wrestling, something the 'E misses the boat on cause they're too concerned with keeping Hunter and Cena happy. Beer Money, 3D, MCMG, No Limit, Lax, Styles & Daniels (if they want to), Lethal Consequences. That's a nice tag division there.

This ppv has a nice balance..Iconic Main Event, Lockdown match which should serve well, Tag Team warfare, the knockouts, your standard big man match, and the X-division escape. There's a little something for everyone.

Sit back and enjoy what looks to be a pretty good ppv, that is if they can keep Russo away from the booking.

This has "PPV of the Year" Candidate all over it, especially considering WMXXV just felt like a really long episode of RAW: One good match, tons of shitty wrestling, and far too much of HHH as champion.

Michael Weyer: The feud needs a push for the Frontline and the fact they've got a mystery partner means odds are good for them. Expect a good battle all around and I'm sure we'll get some sweet bloody spots too as this program needs a great epic battle.

try watching impact at least if you are going tp comment wait a while we will tell you about christop oooops i mean mystery partner

While I hope Mick Foley loses his clothes, I doubt it will be happening. Anyway, as long as I get to see some of Sting's tight ass I will be satisfied. This show looks great, lots of hot oily ass to look forward to.
I love bald guys, so I'm really happy to see the Fallen Angel back in TNA, all in all, I hope he never wears a shirt.

I have a sinking feeling that the answer is Debra and Stevie Richards because TNA has no problem promoting the Women's title and Hardcore title as "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS" which I guess, they technically are.

small pull your head out of your ass - if you love khali go fuck him or be his bitch!
This is philly:

Abyss!

Yeah, I might actually bother with this PPV, what with three (!) good team matches set. Other than those and the "Kong devours everyone, including the ref" match, the rest of the card is meh but enough to get a buy from me.

Didn't Hernandez cash in his shot on impact and won by DQ

Probably won't happen, but let's take a look at this possible idea of who the two "champions" are going to be and my rationale for them. Could it be an APA reunion? Why, you may ask? Let's break it down. JBL had a blockbuster announcement at Wrestlemania, but by saying I quit wasn't exactly a blockbuster, but showing up on the next TNA PPV would be a sort of blockbuster/shocking moment in the vein of Scott Hall showing up in WCW to kick off the "Invasion" angle. Ron Simmons, the first African American Heavyweight Champion. If you think about their APA gimmick they are hired guns. We all know that TNA loves to sign the bigger names from the WWE when they are let go. Like I said from the beginning it probably won't happen, but you never know.

Posted By: tobias (Guest)  on April 19, 2009 at 03:33 PM

I forget to mention in my previous post on more reasons why the APA could be the two ex "champions". JBL is a former Heavyweight champion who hasn't been relevant for the last few years. If anyone saw his reaction after the match at Wrestlemania 25 it looked like that wasn't how the ending should have gone. By going to TNA, JBL would be thrusted into their major storyline and become somewhat relevant once again. The APA could show up on the PPV joining the MEM.

Sting V/ Foley was a hell of a match... back in 1990.

Posted By: RobboCop (Guest)  on April 19, 2009 at 06:46 PM

Ok, I am confused. I thought Hernandez already cashed in months ago and won via DQ over Sting, thereby allowing Sting to have his long reign. Why are people still saying he has his shot? Did I miss something? I don't get to watch Impact, so is there something I don't know yet?
