    iMpact! 05.23.09:

  • THE RIGHT:

OF SACRIFICE, WOMANLY SCREAMS AND WARM-UP MATCHES: iMpact began with Jeff Jarrett coming out with a slow walk, selling the ankle injury that he suffered at Lockdown and re-injured last week at Mick Foley's hands. He got on the mic and talked about how he could rant and rave about what happened, but that wasn't going to solve anything. He was going to react tonight to what happened, and said that he was putting himself into the Ultimate Sacrifice match at…well, Sacrifice. He said that Mick had caused more chaos than the Main Event Mafia and Jarrett was going to put a stop to it. He ended his little promo by telling Mick to have a nice day for the next three days, which of course brought out the champion. Mick said that he wanted to admit that he was wrong about Jeff faking a hamstring injury, hearing it rip off the bone at the Asylum amidst all the womanly screams. Oh, SNAP! Mick had the crowd pretty pissed off and told Jeff that he could try to come and take the title, but he of course had to put something up to sacrifice; the end result was that Jarrett put up his voting shares to get in the match. Jeff almost chickened out, but when Mick started to turn away Jeff told him to turn around and went down to the ramp to go face-to-face with the champ to go all-in. Mick responded by trashing Jeff some more and then booking warm-up matches for everyone in the match; Sting was going to face Eric Young, Kurt was taking on Matt Morgan and Jeff was going to take on Samoa Joe. Yeah, that's freaking balance there, Mick. As for him, he was going to take on a former World Champion…like we haven't heard that one in TNA before. This was very decent, although it ran a little long, and the booking of the matches seemed to run things past what would be the best climax. That's a minor gripe though and I have no real issues with what went on here; it set some matches for the show, set the last participant in the main event and was done so in a relatively good war of words between the feuding partners, which works for me.

LETHAL CONSEQUENCES vs. MOTORCITY MACHINE GUNS vs. DANIELS & SUICIDE: Before this match we had a recap of the attack and attempted de-masking of Suicide that had Daniels running to make the save while Don West continued to rail that Daniels was obviously Suicide and just had someone come out in the mask to throw us all off. Um…okay, doesn't that mean that someone else is officially Suicide then? This turned into an interview with Daniels and with Suicide standing by, where Lauren asked if they could co-exist together considering that they had an X-Division Title Match coming on Sunday. Daniels gave a nice little short promo talking about making good on his promise that the fans would see a different side of him, and said he'd win with Suicide tonight and then beat him for the title at Sacrifice. Lauren asked who Suicide was, and the response was "I am…Suicide." Well, yeah, no kidding. This brought out the competitors for the match. Have I ever mentioned that I hate the MCMG's theme song? Well, I do. It's really lame. The match started with an awkward sequence where Lethal and Daniels traded and miss chops but picked up from there. It was a really nice spotfest, but there was one thing that bugged me. There was no real psychology to the match; I know, spotfests generally preclude the concept of psychology, but I prefer a match that tells a story in the ring, not just a bunch of sweet moves laced together. The closest that they came was Daniels playing the face-in-peril which worked for a bit but it was short-lived before things moved into organized chaos. That gripe aside, the match had a lot of great moments and they didn't go the predictable route of having Daniels and Suicide lost because of "tag team partner miscommunication" which I very much appreciated. As an opening iMpact match goes this was quite good as would be expected from these six men and I was properly entertained.

TAG TEAMS ROCKIN' THE HOUSE: Team 3D came out to the ring to talk about the Team 3D Invitational and the British Invasion, who attacked Ray and Devon last week. They talked up the tournament and how they were trying to create a legacy of great tag team wrestling in TNA because they weren't going to be around forever and they wanted to give back. This is exactly the kind of promo I like seeing out of TNA; it reminds the fans that yes, TNA is in fact different than the ‘E without shoving it down our throats or even mentioning them by name. Everyone knows that tag team wrestling doesn't mean a thing in the ‘E, but TNA is working hard to keep their tag division hot and they deserve a lot of credit for that. They then turned their attention to the British Invasion, saying that they crapped in the hand that's been trying to feed them—great line, by the way. Ray said that British Invasion weren't carrying themselves with class and dignity, something even Beer Money had these days. Ray said they'd never show them up again, which brought down the British Invasion to the ringside area, where Brutus Magnus ran 3D down for a few moments before Ray and Devon attacked. They fell prey to what was honestly some weak-ass looking Feast or Fired briefcase shots by Terry and then beat them down. Beer Money came out and made the save and said that Team 3D taught them to have the balls to fight fair. I absolutely loved this, because it showed that TNA is working hard to put a new team over big. Sure, they were already doing that with putting the Invasion in the finals at Sacrifice, but having them beat down Team 3D two weeks in a row has done them an absolute world of good. I think Magnus is far from polished on the mic and he needs some work in that category, but he's not terrible either. They teased a mystery as to why Bashir and Kiyoshi came out to back the Invasion, and I'm sure it will be some sort of generic anti-American thing, but hey that's always been good for heat…as long as they don't make it a full-on five-man stable. Keep the Invasion a unit unto themselves and we'll be happy. This worked on a lot of levels and I was very happy with it.

KONG DOES NOT WANT TO BE BEAUTIFUL: After a nice little promo video for the Knockouts Title match, TNA Director of Authority Jim Cornette appeared in the ring to oversee the contract signing between Awesome Kong and Angelina Love. Corny was great as always as he hyped the match before bringing out the champion and challenger. Angelina has security with her of course, putting her fear of Kong over nicely, but Cornette sent them to the back and then brought out Kong, Raisha Saaed and the 8x10 glossy of Angelina. Corny laid out that everyone had agreed to the match and then had them sign. Angelina then took the mic to try and mend fences with Kong and say she's sorry. Love has perhaps the most annoying voice this side of Jillian Hall, but she uses it very well and it played out nicely as a whiny, superficial attempt to save her own ass while playing the "you're ugly" card at the same time. And what did Kong think of that?

I believe, folks, that right there is Kongese for "I'm going to eat you." At the very least, it's "You die now." Corny called her out for her lack of sportsladyship, just before Kong tried to Awesome Bomb Love and instead got to do it to Rudy Charles. It's great to see life breathed into the Knockouts Division after a long period of staleness, and this certainly got the job that it intended to do done by getting Love over even more as a bitch while letting Kong kill another guy without the two actually coming to blows or hurting either's momentum.

AJ JUST WON'T QUIT: AJ was backstage with Lauren, who reminded him that his Legends Title was on the line in three days. AJ pointed out that it wasn't just about the title, it was about not saying "I Quit." He gave a nice little promo about how he never said he quit when he was working his way up through the indies and how he'll never say those words. You know, AJ was once one of those guys who was considered unlikely to be a big-time player in the business because no matter how good his in-ring skills were he could never cut it on the mic, and I think he's come a long way in his career in that respect. He's not in the top promo men in the business or anything and he probably never will be, but he has learned to let his words flow naturally and put some real emotion behind them. Considering that this was the only real hard-sell for the Legends Title match it did a good job of it and gave fans a reason to be interested; that earns points from me.

MATT MORGAN vs. KURT ANGLE: This was undoubtedly the best of the Sacrifice warm-up matches between the four competitors for the World Title. Kurt and Morgan can both go in the ring of course, and what's more, they got a good amount of time to showcase that fact. They did a nice job of putting over Morgan's strength when he dominated Angle early on and kept himself competitive throughout. At the same time Angle needed to look good moving into Sacrifice and he did just that, battling back and kicking out of the Carbon Blueprint and countering a decent amount of Morgan's offense. I almost thought they were putting Morgan over too strongly at times but Kurt came out of it just fine, and it's definitely good that they're finding something solid for Morgan to do. At the end Kurt and Matt shook hands which seems to mean that Morgan's looking pretty for a spot in the Mafia, but we'll see how that goes if Angle isn't the leader of the Mafia post-Sacrifice. This was a perfect example of putting someone over while still having them lose, and it worked well.

  • PURGATORY:

KURT LOOKS FOR STING: Throughout the first part of the show, we saw Kurt Angle looking for Sting, pissed that the Stinger had put himself into the Ultimate Sacrifice match. Kurt was followed around by Scott Steiner for no apparent reason other than to have Steiner collect a paycheck for the week, ranting about how Sting needs to know his role. Now, you KNOW they didn't use that one unintentionally. Think about it, they talk about how Angle was in Hollywood filming a movie last week and suddenly Angle is busting out Rock catchphrases? Slick Kurt, real slick. A few segments later he had finally found the man, and JB was standing by to document the meeting. Angle wanted to know what was going on, and Sting responded by asking if he actually watched the shows or if he just appeared in them. You know, I'd consider that a valid question if both TNA and the ‘E didn't have stuff happen on-camera that people never seem to have noticed, thus meaning that pretty much no one in the locker rooms watch the shows. Sting brought up Lockdown and when Angle mentions that he got screwed, Sting lost it and said he did too. The bottom line was that Sting said this wasn't about them, it was about the TNA Title going back to the Mafia. Kurt bought it and all of a sudden was chummy-chummy again, though Sting seemed a little less so. The payoff to this whole sequence was good enough, but did we really need to see two segments before about how Angle was looking for Sting? One would have been decent, the other was overkill. I also don't know if I like Kurt's portrayal here…he was too mad at Sting and then accepted Sting's response too quickly; he seemed almost goofy in that last couple seconds, and clearly the Stinger is pretty much playing him. I can't help but think that the payoff will make Kurt look like an Idjit, and that sours this a bit for me.

ERIC YOUNG vs. STING: Before we got to the match we saw Eric backstage with Jeff, asking him to do something about his match with Sting which saw Double J putting Eric in his place and telling him that he wanted the opportunity, now's his chance to be a man and do something about it. Eric was all sorts of pissed and told Jeff that he was going to regret saying that to him. Soon after we had the match, with Young coming down to the ring first before the Stinger made his way to the ring in his purple and red-trim trench coat. The two shook hands like gentlemen and then locked up. I've always liked the Jarrett/Young dynamic, and these guys worked pretty well against each other. Had they been given more time then we may have had a match that scored solidly in the Right, but it's difficult for anyone to pull out a Right match with three minutes to work with and the match seemed cut short. The finish was out of nowhere and seemed almost tacked-on so they could end it early, and that hurt things in my mind. On the plus side we saw Eric's slow build to his eventual heel turn continue, and I'm enjoying the way they're building to that.

MORGAN SAYS IT'S NOTHING PERSONAL Immediately after the AJ interview, Lauren was with Matt Morgan asking him about his opportunity to prove himself tonight in his match against Kurt Angle after his attempts to make himself available to the Main Event Mafia. Morgan used the words "big time" a lot and compared himself to Kevin Garnett ditching the T-Wolves to sign with the Red Sox so he could win a World Championship. This sold Morgan's arrogance and he carried it off all right, but this just seemed lacking somehow. For one, it was poor placement within the context of the show, being placed directly after another interview segment with Lauren, and Morgan just wasn't as good as AJ. Morgan was also rushing just a bit; had he slowed it down a bit he would have come across better, but I suppose he was going for intense. It didn't really work as intense though, it just sounded fast and rushed. Morgan's better than this.

  • THE WRONG:

WHY IS THIS CHICK IN TNA AGAIN?: Lauren was backstage with Jenna, asking her what the deal was with her status in the Mafia. Apparently things were all set, but there was one detail remaining; Sharmell's apology. She said that Sharmell had until Sunday to deliver an apology, or else. Okay, wow. I admit, this could have absolutely been worse. But this woman is like a black hole of charisma and is walking proof that a Playboy spread does not compensate for a personality when it comes to sports-entertainment. (See also: Massaro, Ashley) This may not have taken up much time, but it was still time that could have been given to one of the shorter matches to let it work out better. Let me explain this to you simply, TNA. No one is buying Sacrifice so they can see Sharmell apologize to a reality show contestant. People watch TNA for the wrestling. Don't make the WWE's mistakes. Thank you.

JEFF JARRETT vs. SAMOA JOE: Before the match Lauren was backstage with Double J, asking him about his torn hamstring. Jeff dodged the issue and said that he wasn't going to give in or let Mick Foley win. Lauren tried to push the issue of what happens if he loses his shares in the company but Jarrett again brushed her off saying that all that mattered was that Foley lose the World Title so that business can return to normal. That was all well and good, but then we got to the match. Joe came out all Nation of Violence-d up with his Tazz towel on and to be frank, the lack of crowd reaction is a pretty damned good indicator of how they've monkey-fucked Joe as a character. Jeff was over as always, of course, and he limped down to the ring with his brace on before they started fighting outside the ring. They had a tolerable brawl through the crowd, but it was really sort of uninspired and just seemed to be going through the motions until the DQ finish. Speaking of which, what the hell was the DQ finish for? Was it for tossing the ref? Was it for not stopping the assault on Jeff's hamstring after the ref called for it? That just kind of made no sense. Joe then attacked the hamstring with the chair, which brought AJ out to stop Joe from killing Jeff. I think they're really overdoing the hamstring stuff and the "match" sucked, so you know where this goes.

  • THE RIDICULOUS:

THE MAIN EVENT CLUISTERFUCK: Okay, this is the kind of crap we hate TNA for. Earlier in the show Borash pimped the info line from TNA Mobile and then talked with Foley to ask who the former World Champion that he was facing was going to be. Foley and Borash played a lame "I think you think I think we think I know you know we think we know we're talking about the same guy" sketch and then Mick built up his opponent-to-be like he was the greatest thing to come to TNA in forever, which just let us know that it was going to be someone completely inconsequential and an utter joke. As if that wasn't enough, he drove the point home even more with his talking the man up pre-match, turning our belief into an absolute certainty. Well surprise, surprise, we were right as it turned out to be a Rocky Balboa impersonator. And by impersonator, I mean a cardboard stand-up life-sized image of it. A CARDBOARD FUCKING CUT-OUT. Really, TNA? REALLY? I mean, a midget Rocky would have been at least somewhat tolerable, and that old guy they had to play the Adrian wanna be would have been fine. Hell, someone could have found Duane Gill and dressed him up like Rocky, I'm sure he could use the dough. But no, a cardboard cut-out was what they settled on.

Now, this in itself would have been horrible, but at least just regular ridiculous. I would have been rolling my eyes but saying "Okay, it's not worse than what Raw's doing." But then they had to have Foley battle the cut-out. That's right, Foley wrestled they cut-out. He even SOLD for the cut-out. This "match" went a minute and a half long. If you don't think this is that bad, consider that Sting vs. Eric Young went only three minutes. Mick vs. Cut-Out got half the time that Sting vs. Eric Young got. What the hell is wrong with this company? Foley then ripped off Rocky's speech which brought out Jarrett to confront Foley and attack him. I thought he just got his hamstring destroyed, and now he's beating the hell out of the World Champion? Then Angle came out to attack Jarrett and Sting came out to play peacemaker, but got nailed by a chair shot from Mick. Jarrett then hit the Stroke and turned into a Foley chair shot of his own. I'm sorry, the end part would have been fine without taking into account that JJ shouldn't even be walking and the whole Rocky/Mick thing. This just made me disgusted, and it's exactly the kind of stuff that will do two things. First, it will piss me off as a wrestling fan, and two it will bring out people saying I have no sense of humor. I do have a sense of humor, but this was just about as funny as being forced to eat a pile of dog shit. Thank you, I'll pass.

    The 411

I was all ready to give this show some very high marks until the last half-hour or so, when it all fell apart. The Joe/Jarrett thing was really bad and then the main event segment (I won't even call it a match) was a complete mess. There was also the Jenna crap that immediately preceded all of that. Outside of that though, everything was solid to tolerable and I appreciated the fact that, at least some of the time, TNA can get shit right. I said it last week that TNA was putting on a better show than Raw, and even with the Foley/Balboa bullshit this was a better show then Raw without a doubt. If they can avoid the stupid stuff then TNA can really start rocking the house, and one hopes that they'll figure this out soon; they seem on the verge of it.

    Comment Time with Jeremy!

Comment time coming tomorrow with the SmackDown R's!

    By: Larry Csonka

    WWE SUPERSTARS 05.23.09:
  • QUICK RESULTS:
    - Tommy Dreamer and Christian went to a no contest @ 12:30 [**½]
    - Kofi Kingston defeated William Regal @ 4:10 via pin [*]
    - CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho @ 12:00 via pin [***½]

  • THE RIGHT:

Tommy Dreamer and Christian went to a no contest: The opening match was the ECW title match, which I will bitch about one thing, this should have been the main event. Even with the non-finish, at least give the title the main event spot and big tease into next week's show. While Punk and Jericho led into Smackdown nicely, it isn't like they said they will face again on Smackdown. Anyway, as they have had before, both guys worked hard and delivered a perfectly fine match for the show. Not great to anything, but the match was good, and the finish was expected and acceptable at this time. Swagger NEEDS to be in the ECW Title picture as he and Christian aren't done with their issues. The Dreamer story, which has been POORLY BOOKED, looks to be coming to a conclusion, and he needs to get into the title match. With Christian being respectful and offering the shot because Swagger ruined their last one. With him doing it again, you know that Cage will keep with the same attitude, and it works out fine.

CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho @ 12:00 via pin: Our main event was Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk. Punk always works hard, and Jericho has been on a tear lately, on PPV and as far as matches go. There is a point that when two guys get in the ring, you expect a good match, and really, this was one of those times. Two athletes with a common goal give you a great match. Seriously, if we had this kind of thing on the show every week, I wouldn't complain. I know that will never happen, but a guy can dream. The most important thing about the win is that Punk NEEDED it. After back to back PPV losses to Kane and Umaga, Punk needed to win over a top name, and Jericho is that guy. While I often joke about being BERRIED, Jericho was not here, and those that think he has been don't understand. Chris Jericho is BULLET PROOF. He always has heat, he is always over, he can lose four times a week for a year and still get the reactions he does and walk out with the world title and people will believe. Don't worry about Chris Jericho kids, he'll be just fine. This capped off a great episode of Superstars, and that is nice to say.

  • PURGATORY:

Kofi Kingston defeated William Regal: Kofi Kingston faced off with William Regal in the Raw Superstars match of the week. I tend to say stuff like this a lot, but matches like this are what a guy like Kofi needs. He is athletic as hell, and starting to get over well, but inexperienced and not the complete package. Working with a guy like Regal will get him the right experience, an also help him to work smarter matches. This would be the old JR "clash of styles match," but it worked well enough for the time given. And that's really the thing. Booking wise it fits as the whole MVP, Matt, Regal and Kofi thing has been brewing, and Kofi was the right choice to get the win, as he is part of the future, hopefully. But like I have said time and time again, you cannot expect these guys to put on anything worthwhile or get over in that amount of time. Give the guys the time to work and drop a few of the video packages.

    The 411

Now this is what I am talking about. If you really have to add the hour of TV, DO THIS! They gave us the Dreamer vs. Christian match, which was booked to lead to a three-way, which is expected and works out fine. Kofi had a solid match with Regal, he looked good and got the all important victory. Finally a main event with two guys working hard to put on a good wrestling match. It is a simply formula, it is an old one, but it works. This is the kind of show I want to watch every week, not Big Show vs. the Midget.

As a reminder, I will be going by the 411 scale. Also, PPV rankings can and will likely change through out the year:

    ROH on HDNet 05.23.09:

  • QUICK RESULTS:
    - Kenny Omega defeated Kenny King and Jay Briscoe @ 10:00 via pin [***]
    - The Dark City Fight Club defeated Irish Airborne @ 2:00 via pin [NR]
    - Chris Hero defeated Eddie Kingston @ 6:00 via DQ [*]
    - The Necro Butcher and Delirious defeated Jimmy Jacobs and Brodie Lee @ 10:00 via pin [**½ ]

  • THE RIGHT:

CHANGING UP: As ROH headed into the 10th episode of their TV show, the one thing that myself, JD Dunn and others have complained that the one thing ROH had to do is change up the show a bit. Adding DVD highlights or other video packages to push the feuds in the company were something that I personally was pushing for. They did some of this stuff this week, and I liked it. The main things that worked was the interview/video segments on ROH Champion Jerry Lynn and Bryan Danielson. These videos were a good way to build the anticipation for the title match as well as highlight both guys, without the cliché in ring interview. The video package was also a great way to get both men across while also being able to control what they said. No offense, but Lynn and Danielson aren't considered great on the mic. These are the little things that they need to add to the show, and I am glad that they did it this week.

The Opening Segment: Pulling a Tarintino here and going back to the beginning, the opening segment worked out well this week. Not only did it play perfectly off of last week, but it also sets up a title match for next week and gave the Champions a little payback, as they put the Wolves bitch through a table. This all works fine, you start an angle one week, you add to it another week, and we then go to a match of some form the next week. It's a simple formula, and it works and has worked for years.

Kenny Omega defeated Kenny King and Jay Briscoe: The opening match of the show was the best of the night, as Briscoe battled Omega and King. Omega is a wacky baby face that people seem to like, King is a full of charisma and Briscoe is over as always. This is a good combination to kick off the show with. They had a strong 10-minute match that played the deal where Omega would be isolated out of the ring, making him seem the odd man out, while Briscoe and King worked the bulk. Omega got his spots, and ended up getting the crowd behind him, which was paid off by the "fluke" victory over King. A fine surprise to be sure, although I thinking could have used the win more, as I see more in him. This was a fun way to open the show.

  • PURGATORY:

The Necro Butcher and Delirious defeated Jimmy Jacobs and Brodie Lee: The main event of the show has in ways been built over weeks through various matches, although it doesn't feel as if we were given a reason to care. Overall it was a very average tag match, with a fun finish involving the tacks, but to me it was completely forgettable. In the end the biggest issue is that the AoTF have had their nuts completely cut off. They have to end the deal and just rebuild Jacobs, because he has been a non-factor on TV, and that is a shame considering the time put into the angle. They could have been a good thing to use in the early shows instead, they are using the TV to finish them off with what feels like no real payoff.

  • THE WRONG:

The Dark City Fight Club defeated Irish Airborne: The Dark City Fight Club was back again this week for another squash match victory. While there would normally not be an issue with building up this team, I feel that the match should have been edited off of the show this week. Instead an announcement of an injury should have been made, and also a mention that they will not be back for a while due to the injury that Davis I believe has. Instead, they ran it. They have a post produced show and still decided that this was a good idea to have in the show. You now have a tag team that is 4-0 on TV, and now they won't be around for a while and they look the most dominant of the tag teams, and really, why aren't they getting a title shot? Just bad planning on their part I feel.

Chris Hero defeated Eddie Kingston: Hero and Kingston, to me, was simply a disappointment. While they only got 6-minutes, I just felt like they could have done so much more. We got no back-story on the history that they shared, and that also hurt it, because it felt thrown out there. We got brawling, some bland mat action and when Kingston came back, he ended up getting DQ'd because he wouldn't break in the corner. It felt anticlimactic and the match just did nothing for me.

  • THE RIDICULOUS:

    NONE

    The 411

At the end of the day I would have to call this an average episode of ROH, not great, not bad, but good. The opener was a really fun match that had an unexpected winner, which is nice from time to time. I really didn't like Kingston vs. Hero, and I also strongly feel that the Dark City Fight Club should have been edited off of the show, and in place an announcement that they were injured and couldn't compete tonight. They also should have made mention that they may be out for some time. The main event was good and played off of previous episodes, which is good. But like others, I am not only burnt out on the AoTF, but Jacobs and Lee have little to no TV value due to how they have been booked. I did love the changes as mentioned, and I hope that those things continue to change.

As a reminder, I will be going by the 411 scale. Also, PPV rankings can and will likely change through out the year:

I know this has no bearing on anything from this column, but I couldn't wait until the '4R's Reviewed Smackdown' later this week. Please do not make the same mistake everyone else online has made and state that last Friday night was the first time Umaga grabbed a microphone and spoke. He did the exact same thing the final RAW before WM24 last year, when feuding with Batista. It was pretty cool to see then, just as it was last week. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.....

I usually agree with you Thomas...

... but that Rocky Balboa match was frikkin' AWESOME! Hell, the cut-out even got a "RockY! Rocky!" chant.

Which is more than Samoa Joe has gotten since his Umaga-makeover.

Lethal Consequences vs MMGs vs Daniels/Suicide: I think a match loaded with high flyers doing what they do best IS psychology. Really, do you want them working someone's leg and doing rest holds waiting for a hot tag? What a waste of talent that would be.

KONG DOES NOT WANT TO BE BEAUTIFUL: Well done, and I'm glad they had the sense not to have Kong go over at Sacrifice. This is fresh and deserves more time.

THE MAIN EVENT CLUSTERFUCK: Sorry Jeremy, given that we knew Foley wasn't doing a real match anyway, I wasn't disappointed here. That meant I was in a laughing mood, and the Rocky cutout was great. I rolled my eyes initially, but Foley made it funny. And for once Don West's commentary actually added to something. The crowd enjoyed it, and it completely fit Mick's goofy, borderline insane character. Rocky even sold the piledriver well. Hey, if it's this or seeing him single handedly bitch out the MMG's, this is a step up. TNA's world title scene may be as big a joke as Raw's, but at least it's intentional.

HA! So now Larry is Jeremy, instead of the other way around. THE WORM HAS TURNED!

Thanks for cracking me up, there, Burcham.

Wait a minute, scratch that entire last post. I am an idiot who needs to learn to read.

Ah, Jeremy, Garnett left the T-Wolves to play with the CELTICS; you know, the basketball team in Boston. The Red Sox play baseball. I'd hope that even an internet wrestling site writer would be able to understand the difference.
