411Mania 2009 Independent Draft Part Three: Rounds Nine- Fifthteen
Posted by Ari Berenstein on 07.01.2009
411's annual fantasy draft continues onwards with the last eight rounds, filled with sleeper picks, shocking trades and more!
Welcome back to the 2009 411Mania Independent Draft. To see what came before, check out our INTRODUCTION and FIRST EIGHT ROUNDS of the draft. And away we go!
=Round Nine=
With the 53rd pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, New York Knock-Out Wrestling (NY-KO) selects…
Balls Mahoney -Wrestling out of: Nutley, New Jersey
-Former Original ECW Tag Team Champion
-Had a Popular Run in WWE's ECW -Finisher: Nutcracker Suite, New Jersey Jam
Ari Berenstein: Who's got big balls? I'VE GOT BIG BALLS! Balls…Mahoney that is! I've had a soft spot for Balls for many years now and I'm glad to see that Balls is carrying on in the independent scene even now. Balls has never gone soft and will give anyone a run for their money in or out of the ring. No one should get in the way of a chair-swinging Balls or Balls hanging from the top rope. He will bring the hardcore, balls-out attitude that is needed for my fantasy wrestling company.

With the 54th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Wrestling Alliance: Toronto (TWAT) selects…
Bobby Dempsey -Wrestling out of: Finderne, New Jersey
-Former member of Sweet & Sour Incorporated
-Really Likes Chocolate Cookies -Finisher: Dempsey Driver
Chris Lansdell: For reasons that will become obvious, I had to have Dempsey. The angle I have planned for him should remind you of a released WWE wrestler, and a deceased one.
With the 55th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Lone Star Wrestling (LSW) selects…
BxB Hulk -Wrestling out of: Japan
-Member of the Dragon Gate roster
-Has Massive Entrance with Dancers -Finisher: E.V.O. (pumphandle sit-out side powerslam) / E.V.O.P.
Joseph Martinez: I noticed Lone Star Wrestling had some good things going on, but BxB Hulk brings another dimension to the company. His speed and charisma is a welcome addition to the roster and will add some cruiserweight action to the company. BxB Hulk is no stranger to the Texas wrestling scene as he has competed in the ACW (IWA-TX) company.
With the 56th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Heartland Combat Sports (HCS) selects…
Sara Del Rey -Wrestling out of: Martinez, California
-Former SHIMMER Champion
-Incredibly Well Versed Technical Wrestler -Finisher: Royal Butterfly
Aaron Hubbard: Lacey would not be a valuable asset to HCS if she had no one to wrestle. Therefore, we are proud to add "The American Angel" to our roster. Del Ray is one of the best female wrestlers in America, and getting her solidifies out women's division as one of the best.
With the 57th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE) selects…
The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal SABU -Wrestling out of: Bombay, India via Michigan
-Member of the Original ECW, former ECW Heavyweight Champion
-Will Go to Any Lengths to Win -Finisher: Arabian Face Buster
Jeremy Thomas: The homicidal, genocidal, flat-out crazy superstar was inevitably headed to TPWE…the only question was how long it would take. Sabu may have taken quite a beating over the years and perhaps he's not as spry as he used to, but his willingness to put his body on the line every time he steps into the ring is always a crowd-pleaser and gives him an advantage many other stars don't have. The crazy bastard, who was a keeper for IWA Mid-South last year, carries a world of experience in a hardcore environment and within the squared circle of the Pacific Northwest he's going to find himself right at home. In Sabu, TPWE gains an attraction unlike any other, and exactly the kind of attraction we're looking for.
With the 58th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, KOAKH Pro selects…
Vin Gerard -Wrestling out of: Aburdeen, Washington
-Leader of The UnStable
-Former CHIKARA Young Lions Cup Champion -Finisher: STF
Samuel Berman: Having only recently come to prominence on a national stage, Vin Gerard is the very definition of an up-and-coming talent. His meteoric rise will surely continue as a part of KOAKH Pro, where he will have the opportunity to face off with his trainer Mike Quackenbush as well as a host of other talented combatants. The real question, however, will be where the mercurial Gerard's loyalties lie…

"Frickin Awesome" Portia Perez -Wrestling out of: Aburdeen, Washington
-Member of Canadian Ninjas tag team with Nicole Matthews
-Likes Ninja Cookies -Finisher: Heel Tactics, Shellshock
Mathew Sforcina:Another entrant in the first PW2.0 Women's World Champion match has been announced, with Portia Perez agreeing to terms to sign an exclusive deal with PW2.0. The diminutive Canadian Portia has had a rocky relationship with the US fans, but PW2.0 hopes that the fans can accept Portia as the talented woman that she is and refrain from commentating about her looking like she's 12 or any other unfair slur. Thank you.

***We have a trade to announce!***
TWAT sends Ken Anderson (KENNEDY!) to Lone Star Wrestling in exchange for The Man With Balls of Steel, The Pimp Daddy, Human Tornado! AND "Sweet and Sour" Larry Sweeney!
Chris Lansdell: I HAD to have Tornado. His dance routines mid-match, his pimp slap, his immunity to low blows, his dragon punch...he's made for TWAT. And Sweeney is just gold. I might even let him wrestle.
Joseph Martinez: The roster that I assembled through the draft was a fine one but the majority of the wrestlers were from the same companies. When Ken Anderson was said to be available, I figured I wouldn't be missing a lot by trading Human Tornado and Larry Sweeney. Sweeney is great but the question marks surrounding him were too much for one company to take a chance on. Ken Anderson has great talents and adds more variety to the roster.
=Round Ten=
With the 60th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Pro Wrestling 2.0 (PW2) selects…
Ryan Braddock -Wrestling out of: Chicago, Illinois
-Had a Cup of Coffee in WWE
-a.k.a. Brad Bradley -Finisher:Lariat, Second City Slam
Mathew Sforcina:PW2.0 is all about giving the fans the best matches possible. However, to be honest, sometimes a certain signing is strictly for selfish reasons. Ryan Braddock is in PW2.0 for a very specific reason that may or may not become clear. Sorry to ruin your day.

With the 62nd pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE) selects…
The Enforcer CW Anderson -Wrestling out of: Raleigh, North Carolina
-Has Wrestled for the Original ECW
-Has Been Steve Corino's "Enforcer" in his "Extreme Horsemen" Group -Finisher: Spinebuster, Ferriswheel
Jeremy Thomas: The Enforcer of the Extreme Horsemen finds himself in an environment he's very familiar with and among people he knows quite well. Anderson made his name in ECW, and should have found stardom after it went under. Things didn't seem to go his way however, and the closest he came was a brief contract with the WWE and a single televised losing effort to CM Punk before being released. He's been working smaller promotions since, and in after getting in shape he's finding a chance to build himself up in TPWE.
With the 63rd pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Heartland Combat Sports (HCS) selects…
Fire Ant -Wrestling out of: The Ant Hill
-Fiery Grappler of the Insect Kingdom
-Loves the Fireman's Carry -Finisher:Beachbreak
Aaron Hubbard: Joining his fellow masked superstars The Osirian Portal is Fire Ant. The luchador is truly on a hot streak, as he has elevated his game to an even higher level. He is still young and will only continue to improve, and we are thrilled that this improvement will take place in Heartland Combat Sports.

Jimmy "Equinox" Olsen -Wrestling out of: Aburdeen, Washington
-CHIKARA Young Lions Cup Champion
-Former Tag Team with the Olsen Twins -Finisher: Superkick, Overbomb
Joseph Martinez: Jimmy Olsen is coming off of a foot injury but he still has all the ability that the company is searching for. He is still a young man but he has shown in the independents that he can go with the best of them. Olsen may not be as "famous" as his former tag team partner/brother Colin, but he has the abilities to make an impact.

With the 65th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Wrestling Alliance: Toronto (TWAT) selects…
Super Dragon -Wrestling out of: Los Angeles, California
-Co-Owner of PWG
-Bad Ass Dude…When He's Not On a Donut Run -Finisher: Psycho Driver, Curb Stomp
Chris Lansdell:I knew this guy would drop, because so many people miss the "fantasy" part of this exercise. Sure he put on some weight and can barely move in the last year and a half, but one of the rules of the draft is that we ignore all injuries. A healthy Super Dragon is one of the stiffest guys in Indy wrestling (especially considering Eddie Kingston was drafted by this point) and can be a perfect foil for someone playing the complete fool.
With the 66th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, New York Knock-Out Wrestling (NY-KO) selects…
"The Urban American Dream" Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson -Wrestling out of: Chicago, Illinois
-Member of the Da Soul Touchaz Stable
- Managed by C-Red -Finisher: Droppin The Bomb, Bionic Elbow
Ari Berenstein: I need a good baby face team to match up with Dark City Fight Club and looking at my roster so far I realized I needed some more light-hearted and fan friendly characters to round out my roster. So here we go with my back-to-back selection of members of DA SOUL TOUCHAZ, a very fun bunch of wrestlers who instantly rise the entertainment factor of every show. Willie Richardson is the main big man of the unit, and his take on being the "Urban American Dream" (with obvious influence from Dusty Rhodes) is simultaneously clever and endearing. Fans in Chicagoland and CHIKARAland have quickly embraced him and I think fans of my promotion would do the same. It's "Big Willie Style" all up in here, up in here, ugonmaimebuimesum!

"Mr. M-80"Marshe Rockett -Wrestling out of: Chicago, Illinois
-Member of the Da Soul Touchaz Stable
-Tall and Speedy -Finisher:Ace Crusher
Ari Berenstein: The other half of the duo of Da Soul Touchaz I'm going with, Marshe Rockett is young but exuberant and plucky. He gives it 100 percent and more in the ring and he has very good chemistry with Richardson in the ring. It's time for some souls to be touched!

U-Gene Nick Dinsmore -Wrestling out of: Louisville, Kentucky
-Uses "Eugene" Gimmick on the Independents
-Accomplished Technical Wrestler -Finisher: German Suplex
Chris Lansdell:Had to be done. This guy is ridiculously good in the ring and can have a good match with almost anyone. How he dropped this far is a mystery to me. Plus I figure I can get some good mileage out of fans chanting "YOUUUUGENE! YOUUUUUUGENE!" at him.
With the 69th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Lone Star Wrestling (LSW) selects…
The Man Who Defies Gravity PAC -Wrestling out of: Newcastle, England
-Dazzling High Flying Displays of Awesomeness
-Frequent Wrestler for PWG -Finisher: Corkscrew Shooting Star Press
Joseph Martinez: The Man That Gravity Forgot may have been forgotten by more than just gravity since he's available all the way down at pick number seventy. PAC brings more high flying action to the LSW roster. While he has been rather quiet in the states this last year, he has the ability to play a major role with the organization.
With the 70th pick, in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Heartland Combat Sports (HCS) selects…
Sean "Val Venis" Morley -Wrestling out of: Markham, Ontario, Canada
-Former WWE Intercontinental Champion
-Former "Porn Star" -Finisher: Money Shot, Blue Thunder Bomb
Aaron Hubbard: While there is plenty of young, talented competitors in the HCS locker room, we are in need of leadership. Morley is a veteran who will help these young kids to elevate their game. Morley was also thrilled to be given an opportunity to compete in an organization where his "Val Venis" gimmick is not likely to be used. Now, he will have a chance to succeed on his own merits, the only ceiling being his own drive.

HardcoreBob Holly -Wrestling out of: Mobile, Alabama
-Former WWE Mainstay
-Known to be Curmudgeonly -Finisher: Alabama Slam
Jeremy Thomas: How can one build a hardcore promotion without the most hardcore superheavyweight in existence? Tough, ornery, and stiff as hell, "Hardcore" Bob Holly is sure to be full of piss and vinegar when he arrives in the Pac NW to lay a beating on his fellow TPWE talent. Holly's on the rebound from a troubled last few years in the WWE that included several injured wrestlers at his hands and a supposedly controversial reason for getting released, and one wonders if he's more concerned with winning championships or just hurting people within the legal confines of a ring.

Masato Yoshino -Wrestling out of: Japan
-Member of World-1 in Dragon Gate
-4-Time Open the Brave Gate Champion -Finisher: Lightning Spiral
Samuel Berman: It is astounding that one of Japan's most exciting talents is available at such a late juncture. Masato Yoshino has proven in recent years to be one of the most complete all-around wrestlers in the world, a reputation he is intent on defending in KOAKH Pro competition.
With the 73rd pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Pro Wrestling 2.0 (PW2) selects…
Jake Crist -Wrestling out of: New Carlisle, Ohio
-Tags With His Brother David
-Has Wrestled for ROH, HWA, FIP and IPW -Finisher: Irish Air Raid
Mathew Sforcina:Irish Airborne is one of the most exciting tag teams in the American Independent scene, and PW2.0 is proud to announce the signing of both members to contracts. Irish Airborne can now only be seen here in PW2.0. After all, they used up all their frequent flyer miles last time this happened.

KOAKH Pro has traded the rights to Eddie Edwards and the 86th pick to New York Knock-Out Wrestling for the 80th and 81st selections.
Samuel Berman: While KOAKH Pro recognizes Edwards' in-ring talents, an opportunity to shift some other priorities has come into play. KOAKH is ready to announce a trade that we know will help our promotion going forward. KOAKH Pro wishes Edwards and NYKOW the best in their future endeavors.
Ari Berenstein: Okay, so I did in fact say that I had no plans for Eddie Edwards. However, as Sam made his offer I started to think. What I came up with…was quite the interesting scenario that would add a big "oomph" to the show. I also noticed that everyone else had begun to ignore the names still available on the international list. There were still some big names on the list, one in particular that I believed no one was thinking about. So with the knowledge I could take or leave the power of back-to-back picks given my draft plans, I agreed to the trade, got Edwards and another pick. I kept my fingers crossed that the final piece of the puzzle from my end would work out.

Arik Cannon -Wrestling out of: Chicago, Illinois
-Mainstay of AAW and IWA Mid South
-Member of the F1rst Family -Finisher: Glimmering Warlock, Burning Hammer
Samuel Berman: It has been nearly five years since Arik Cannon made a splash on the Independent scene by defeating more than a handful of the most talented wrestlers on the planet during the Summer of 2004. Now, years from the spotlight, he will make his return to the top of the mountain as a part of KOAKH Pro. Cannon assures KOAKH management that all he needs is the opportunity to reestablish himself as a key player for a world-class promotion. We are happy to give a proven commodity like "The Anarchist" the chance to elevate himself once again.
With the 76th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE) selects…
"The Good Guy" Azrieal -Wrestling out of: South of Heaven
-Former Mainstay of FIP and ROH, Frequently Wrestles in JAPW
-Teams with Dixie (Formerly of Special K) -Finisher:Flying Somersault Driver, Dusted Driver
Jeremy Thomas: Azrieal is a high-flying, high-impact competitor that made his name in JAPW where he was a three-time Light Heavyweight Champion and a two-time Tag Team Champion, one of which was with current TNA talent Jay Lethal. Still young at 27 years of age, the kid has a huge amount of potential and, if he plays his cards right, could have one hell of a future ahead of him. He'll certainly be taking quite a few steps toward that as he works with the mix of talent here, both the veterans, the up-and-coming guys and the people on the bubble of becoming true stars. "The Good Guy," as he's known, will certainly bring an exciting element to the promotion.

BJ Whitmer -Wrestling out of: Owensboro, Kentucky
-Former 5-Time ROH World Tag Team Champion
-Significant Participant in the ROH vs. CZW Feud -Finisher: Exploder ‘99
Aaron Hubbard: One of the most underrated talents on the Indy Circuit, Whitmer was trained by Harley Race, and is proud to make his home in the heartland territory. Much like Roderick Strong, he has a hard-hitting style that will complement the more high-flying competitors in the company. Once again, HCS hopes that BJ will be able to succeed at the highest level, using our roster as a proving ground to show how good he really is.
With the 78th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Lone Star Wrestling (LSW) selects…
James "Little Guido" Maritato -Wrestling out of: Sicily
-Member of both the Original and WWE ECW Roster
-Member of the Full-Bodied Italians Tag Team / Stable -Finisher: Sicilian Slice, Tomikaze
Joseph Martinez: Nunzio brings a much needed veteran presence to the lower card of the Lone Star Wrestling roster. He will never main event a program but working with the younger guys will be a treat for all involved. Nunzio is a good worker who has been around the world and will be a solid addition to the squad.

-Crazy and Eccentric Wrestler
-Has Worn the "Miss TNA" Crown (NOT A TYPO) -Finisher: Piledriver, The Fruitloop

Gran Akuma -Wrestling out of: Afar
-Former CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas
-Member of F.I.S.T. with Icarus and Chuck Taylor -Finisher: Yoshi Tonic, Frog Splash
Samuel Berman: With the first of two selections acquired in the trade for Eddie Edwards, KOAKH is pleased to welcome one of the most dangerous men in the world to our roster. Gran Akuma's propensity for high-impact contests will fit right in with the rest of the KOAKH Pro roster, and furthermore, we intend on bringing in a familiar face to help Akuma bolster our tag ranks.
With the 81st pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, KOAKH Pro …
"Sexy" Chuck Taylor -Wrestling out of: Raccoon City
-Member of F.I.S.T. with Icarus and Chuck Taylor
-Does Not Like Children -Finisher: Omega Driver
Samuel Berman: As unfortunate as it was to have to part with a talent like Edwards, the opportunity to secure a tag team like F.I.S.T. stablemates Akuma and Chuck Taylor was too enticing to pass up. Chuck Taylor has been a dominant force in both singles and tag team competition during his career and will no doubt bring his unique sense of style to KOAKH Pro.
With the 82nd pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Wrestling Alliance: Toronto (TWAT) selects…
Al Snow (with Head) -Wrestling out of: Lima, Ohio
-Former Trainer for WWE and OVW
-Talks with a Mannequin Head -Finisher: Snow Plow

-Also Known as Puma
-Formerly a Constant in PWG -Finisher: Corkscrew Swinging DDT, Tiger Suplex
Aaron Hubbard: Taking note of the Osrian Portal and Fire Ant, Perkins has decided to dawn the mask and compete in HCS as PUMA. PUMA has some exposure from TNA, and has the unusual combination of youth and experience that makes him a valuable commodity. We are glad that a man who immulates the legendary Tiger Mask makes his way to HCS.
With the 85th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE) selects…
Teddy Hart -Wrestling out of: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
-Infamous Third Generation Member of the Hart Family
-Currently a Regular in AAA Feuding with Jack Evans -Finisher: Shooting Star Elbow Drop
Jeremy Thomas: One of the most talented men to burn every bridge he's ever found is Teddy Hart. The Hart family member has had more high-profile firings than anyone on the TPWE roster, and since his firing from the WWE he's been spending his time in JAPW where he teamed with Samoa Joe to try and capture the Tag Team Titles among other things. He's also been working in AAA where he's joined Jack Evans as the Hart Foundation 2.0 in Konnan's heel stable Legión Extranjera (the Foreign Legion). If Teddy can keep his ass out of trouble, he might just have big things in his future in TPWE…otherwise, he'll find just another wasted opportunity and another burned bridge.

Kensuke Sasaki -Wrestling out of: Japan
-Proprietor of Kensuke Office
-Former GHC Heavyweight Champion Among Many Other Accolades -Finisher: Northern Lights Bomb
Ari Berenstein: A freaking steal at 86th in this draft! My gambit paid off and Sasaki was still available, which means he will be joining his protégé Nakajima for special attraction appearances in my promotion! Sasaki was just GHC Heavyweight Champion this past year and he might be older, but he can still go in the ring. H e has impressive power and a bulky but muscular physique. While Sam obviously profited from this trade too, I have to think I get the better end of the deal, especially with what I have planned on my first show.

Samuel Berman: Another performer who has slipped from the public eye in recent years, Josh Raymond will provide KOAKH with an unparalleled amateur background. The Sandman -Wrestling out of: Philadelphia, PA
-Member of the Original and WWE ECW Roster
-Handy with a Cane, a Coors and a Cig -Finisher: White Russian Leg Sweep
Jeremy Thomas: Current WWECW Champion Tommy Dreamer may have been the heart and soul of the old ECW, but the Sandman was undoubtedly its spirit. The five-time ECW Champion made his return to the independent circuit following his departure from the WWE and despite an announcement that he would be retiring last October he's continued to take bookings, as recently as April of this year. The Sandman has more than a few fights left in him, and we'll be sure to see some of his trademarked hardcore action in the ring at Total Package Wrestling Extreme.

-On a Tear in SHIMMER Since Returning From Injury -Finisher: Saito Suplex, Fisherman's Buster
Aaron Hubbard: In the hopes of expanding our women's division, we went out and hired a woman who helped put SHIMMER on the map. Martinez is certainly looking forward to continuing her rivalry with Sara Del Ray. With three of the top women in wrestling, our women's division is off to a good start.

With the 94th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, New York Knock-Out Wrestling (NY-KO) selects…
Nikki Roxx -Wrestling out of: Boston, Massachusetts
-Formerly "Hardcore Roxxi" in TNA
-Currently a Regular on the SHIMMER Roster -Finisher: Barbie Crusher
Ari Berenstein: Call her Nikki, or Hardcore Roxxi, but never forget that Nikki… ROCKS! She was released by TNA, but so much the better for the rest of the independent wrestling world. Nikki is a fantastic babyface, has a ton of heart and can definitely provide a good match. I wasn't planning on drafting any woman this year, but when we agreed to extend this draft to fifteen rounds, I could play around with it and see what was out there. Nikki is a hell of a value pick at this stage of the draft and her more recent hardcore style would fit right in with my promotion. As far as opponent goes, she could match up with anyone still available and it would be a fine undercard bout, so I'm not drafting another woman with my final pick.

With the 95th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, New York Knock-Out Wrestling (NY-KO) selects…
Tyson Tomko -Wrestling out of: Tombstone, Arizona
-Former TNA Tag Team Champion
-Former IWGP Tag Champion -Finisher: Yakuza Kick
Ari Berenstein:WWE and TNA's loss is MY gain. Again I'm shocked that Tomko dropped so far, because he has name value, size and has shown a willingness to improve. TNA had lightning in a bottle with him back in '08 but they gave it up. I think I can get Tomko back to what the fans like about him so much, and add some finishing touches to my card at the same time.

-He's The One On The Right, Member of 2.0
-Wacky -Finisher: Boston Crab, Sweet Taste of Professionalism (with Jagged)
Chris Lansdell:Any long-term Lansdellites will know that, not only am I an Omegaphile, I'm a 2.0phile. These guys are entertaining as hell and passable in the ring, and they're Canadian. Win, win, win.

With the 97th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Lone Star Wrestling (LSW) selects…
Tully Blanchard -Hailing From: San Antonio, Texas
-Renowned as Member of the Four Horsemen
-Multiple Time NWA U.S. Champion -Finisher: Slingshot Suplex
Joseph Martinez: Seeing as this promotion is based in Texas, it makes sense to bring in a legend from the Lone Star state in to fill a commissioner role. Blanchard is from San Antonio and had a number of memorable matches including a great one with Magnum T.A. His wrestling days are probably over but he is the perfect addition to the LSW roster.

Rain -Wrestling out of: St. Paul, Minnesota
-Member of the International Home Wrecking Crew (with Jetta)
-Has Wrestled for ROH, FIP and TNA -Finisher: Rain Drop, Acid Rain
Aaron Hubbard: Lacey was furious at the signing of Martinez and Del Ray, and demanded we get her a little insurance in the form of Rain. If the owner refused, she threatened to tie him up and use a bull rope on him. While the owner has not informed Lacey of this signing and is currently "tied up in business matters", we are proud to announce that "The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" will reunite in Heartland Combat Sports.

With the 99th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE) selects…
Bret "Hitman" Hart (non wrestling role) -Hailing From: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
-Member of the WWE Hall of Fame
-The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be -Finisher: The Sharpshooter
Jeremy Thomas: And as the final bombshell, TPWE takes none other than the Best There Was, the Best There's Ever Been and the Best There Will Ever Be to be its commissioner. Bret Hart may have been forced from in-ring competition too soon but he's still one hell of a personality and among the crazy, psychotic talent ready to step into the TPWE ring we don't think there's anyone who's quite crazy e nough willing to cross the Hitman. A high-impact, hardcore federation may be a strange choice for a guy like Bret Hart, but the Hitman was always about wowing the crowd and putting on the best wrestling show there was to offer, and for those reasons he does make a perfect fit for laying down the law among the TPWE roster.

With the 100th pick in the 2009 411Mania Independent Pro Wrestling Draft, KOAKH Pro sele cts…
"The New Horror" Sami Callahan -Wrestling out of:The Last House on the Left
-Eccentric Character and Personality
-Up and Coming Prospect for ROH -Finisher: Koji Clutch
Samuel Berman: Often times, final round selections are used to take a flyer on an unknown commodity. While some might consider KOAKH's drafting of "The New Horror" Sami Callihan to be just that, KOAKH management believes that Callihan's high-impact style makes him the very definition of a ‘sure thing'. With so many established names on the KOAKH roster, Callihan will have his work cut out for him as he seeks to carve out his own niche, but there is no doubting that "The New Horror" has the talent to hang with the best KOAKH Pro has to offer.

Mathew Sforcina:PW2.0 is incredibly honoured to announce that PW2.0's new Beta Programmer is the esteemed Bobby ‘The Brain' Heenan. A legend in this industry, Bobby has had some recent medical troubles, but has confirmed that come hell or high water, he WILL be on hand at "Professional Wrestling Rebooted" to give the fans the best possible show he can. KOAKH PRO!!!! except i am baffled as to why Berman didn't just get SPEED MUSCLE: which had both Masato Yoshino + Naruki Doi. that woulda been a fantastic pick, and factoring in the 'individuals are bigger than the team' equation that decides who is pickable as a tag team, arguably, SPEED MUSCLE as a unit has done more and achieved more notoriety than Yoshino or Doi individually.

Hey Ari, you may want to re-look at last year, because I know I drafted Bobby Dempsey.

TWAT i think really fell off the second half of the draft, while i think LSW vastly improved, still looking forward to NY-KO the most, i believe..

KOAKH, HCS, and NYKO are the top 3, probably in that order, with PW2.0 just behind.
TWAT was up and down -- isn't Super Dragon retired?
LSW had a much better second half, but I feel like it's just a random thrown together group of guys.
TPWE features a bunch of older guys and no real embracing of the hardcore style with the younger guys. Sure Jacobs and Necro are hardcore, but why not use later picks on CZW guys? And why use Bret Hart in a non-wrestling role for a hardcore fed? Makes no sense.

Koakh Pro, TWAT, and NY-KO have the best overall rosters. Can't wait to see the fantasy cards.

Posted By: protecttheinnocent (Guest) on July 01, 2009 at 01:37 PM
Well Total Package Wrestling Extreme (TPWE)WAS the best going into the final round, but then awful, awful picks here means it's the worst of the bunch.

Heartland Combat Sports clearly wins because it has so no-named loser called Fire Ant.
BxB Hulk?
Jimmy Olsen?
PAC?
Hallowicked?
Frightmare?
Those names are all quite jobbertastic.

Bless you sirs! Heartland Combat Sports wins my pick so far. But once again, i offer my total support to anybody that signs Scotty.

My first impression is that PW2 and LSW will run away with this one. I really admire Hubbard's women's division, though.
Posted By: KanyonKreist (Guest) on July 01, 2009 at 06:23 PM
Wow, I'm so glad I have former ROH Champion Sean Morley on my roster.
Sorry Ari...at least it's not as bad as Kenny Omega.

No Ken "Dykstra" Doane? I always enjoyed the guy, he's really young, and has some name value. Was he not eligible or something?

1. KOAKH Pro

3. NY-KO
