411Mania 2009 Independent Draft Part Four: Fantasy Cards and Show Hype!
Posted by Ari Berenstein on 07.02.2009

Welcome back 411 readers. First of all, a huge thanks to those who are following along at home. Your comments and feedback are definitely appreciated. Now that the draft has been completed and we have chosen teams like we were on the figurative schoolyard, we move on to the next stage in our feature! It's time for each 411 writer to present to you the hype and lineup for their given card. You'll find out the match combinations and in some cases the reasons and motivations for the wrestlers involved. In the end, you decide who did the best job putting together the talent they had on their roster into one spectacular card! Let's get to it!

Pro Wrestling 2.0 (PW2.0) presents
"Professional Wrestling: Reloaded"

Saturday July 11th, 2009

8:00 PM belltime.

18+ Only.

Tickets: $40 Cage Front, $25 Seating, $10 Gen Admission. All Cage Front seats and the first 50 Seating tickets sold will receive free of charge a "Women of PW2.0" 18 month Calendar.

Pro Wrestling 2.0 launches on 07.11.09, ushering in a new era in Professional Wrestling. Overseen by PW2.0's Beta Programmer, the legendary "Wrestling Manager to the Stars", Bobby ‘The Brain' Heenan, PW2.0 promises a show unlike any other.

The first order of business as handed down by Mr. Heenan was one of safety. With the volatile nature of the stars of PW2.0, such as Delirious, Austin Aries, Takeshi Morishima, Irish Airborne, Daizee Haze, Bison Smith and others, it has been decided that to both protect the fans and to ensure that there is no undue outside interference, that all PW2.0 events will be held within a specially built 15 foot high steel cage structure surrounding the ringside area, from the entrance ramp to the ring. This steel mesh, replacing the old fashioned barricade structure, ensures that as wild as it gets inside or around the ring, the fans will be safe. Programmer Heenan is quoted as saying that "While it gives them an extra weapon, that's a small price to pay for a better match. While PW2.0 has relaxed some of the rules, they refuse to relax on fan safety."

PW2.0 will crown their inaugural champions at "Professional Wrestling: Reloaded". The PW2.0 Men's World Champion, Women's World Champion, and Tag Team World Champions will be decided.

The show will begin with the Women's World Title decided in a Fatal 4 Way match. Daizee Haze will face off with Portia Perez and direct from Australia, Madison Eagles and Jessie McKay. The first woman to score a pinfall or submission will be crowned the Champion. ‘The Pink Ladies' have declared their intent on taking the title to Australia, and have vowed that one of them will win the match, whatever the cost. Can Haze and Perez overcome this obstacle, or will their own mistrust cost North America this title?

The Tag Titles will be decided in a Three Way Dance, an Elimination match featuring King Titus (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) squaring up against Irish Airborne (Jake & Dave Crist) and Incoherence (Hallowicked & Frightmare). All 3 teams have sworn victory, although only one team can be crowned champions. A high impact match will long lasting impact on the company.

The PW2.0 Men's World Championship, the new premier title in the Industry, as yet has no announced match. Delirious, as the first man signed to the new company, seems to be declaring himself champion already, whereas Austin Aries is still carrying around his previous employer's World Title and expects to be rewarded with ‘his' new title on the night. Beta Programmer Heenan has announced that the first title holder will be decided on the night. With these volatile personalities involved, it is hard to say just what chaos will be unleashed on the night.

Another announced match sees D-Lo Brown step up to the plate and, in a bid to prove himself to the fans and the PW2.0 Front Office, has challenged Bison Smith to a match, which the brute of a man has accepted. Can the experience of The Brown overcome the sheer Stampede of Bison? The match will be a hard fought affair.

Also scheduled to compete at the first show are such stars as Takeshi Morishima, Brent Albright and Ryan Braddock, as well as a surprise Legend appearance.

PW2.0's "Professional Wrestling: Reloaded" is set to revolutionise the Industry. Be there when Professional Wrestling is Reloaded, and be a part of Wrestling History ion this special 2 hour event.

Card Subject to Change.

Total Package Wrestling EXTREME Proudly Presents:

The Rebirth of Extreme

Friday Night, July 10th, 2009
The Roseland Theater at 8:00 pm
Tickets On Sale Now for $40, $20 and $15!

Main Event
Last Man Standing Qualifying Match For the TPWE Title Match

Steve Corino vs. Necro Butcher

The King of Old School and arguably the craziest man in the industry will do battle for a shot at becoming the first-ever Total Package Wrestling Extreme Champion. Steve Corino appears to be the company's golden boy and the heir apparent to the nascent hardcore promotion, but then again he's battling Necro Butcher in a match that's tailor-made to the deathmatch competitor. Still, Corino is a cagey veteran with a fair share of tricks up his sleeve and he's handled people just as dangerous as Necro Butcher. In this battle of skill and strategy against violence and brutality, who will come out ahead with a shot at the vacant TPWE Title?

Second Main Event
Ladder Match for the Inaugural TPWE Light Heavyweight Championship!

Azrieal vs. Teddy Hart

The first TPWE champion to be crowned will be the Light Heavyweight Champion in this battle between two extremely talented high flyers. Teddy Hart has been walking around like the cat who's eaten the canary, and word is that he's been pulling at his uncle, the TPWE Commissioner Bret "The Hitman" Hart, for a wealth of favors. What the Hitman's reaction has been is unknown at this time; could this shot at the Light Heavyweight Title be one of those requested favors? Even if that's the case, it's going to be no easy task for Teddy to put down Azrieal en route to claiming the title. "The Good Guy" has never backed down, and it's inconceivable to imagine he'll do so in a Ladder Match with the brand new Light Heavyweight Title on the line!

Qualifying Match For the TPWE Title Match
Jimmy Jacobs vs. Sabu

A hardcore icon and one of the fastest-rising names in the industry collide, with a shot at the title on the line! Jimmy Jacobs is ready to make his claim to the top title of the promotion, but first he has to get through a hardcore legend in the homicidal, genocidal madman who's known the world over for putting his body on the line and coming to the top of any wrestling organization he finds himself in. The question now to ask is, have the years of insane abuse that he's put on his body allow him to match up with a man who is quite possible at the peak of his wrestling skills, or will the homicidal and genocidal maniac find himself battling for the TPWE Title?

Women's Exhibition Tag Team Match
MsChif & Allison Danger vs. "The Suicide Blondes" Lufisto and Jennifer Blake

MsChif and Allison Danger are two women who can run neck and neck with the men of wrestling, and certainly are no strangers to each other. That said, they both have their eyes on becoming the new Queen of Extreme. But first, they have to get through the Suicide Blondes. LuFisto and Jennifer Blake have made quite an impact during their time in SHIMMER and are no pushovers, and if their opponents aren't on the same page, the Suicide Blondes could cut their hopes short.

Ring of Nightmares
Brodie Lee vs. Danny Havoc

Brodie Lee has been making quite a reputation for himself as a dangerous, intense individual; at the same time, Danny Havoc is quickly building the same rep. It is only fitting then that these two will be competing in the first-ever "Ring of Nightmares" Match. With a steel cage surrounding the ring and weapons along all four walls, the winner will be the only one to escape the nightmare, while the other may well find the enclosure one of the absolute worst dreams of their life come true!

Tag Team Challenge
Too Sexy (Brian Lawler & Scott Taylor) vs. Lance Storm & Jerry Lynn

No one rocks a crowd quite like Brian Lawler and Scott Taylor, known to wrestling fans around the world as "Too Cool." They've returned to their roots now however, reuniting as Too Sexy and making their TPWE debut. Their opponents, however, may be more than they can handle, as they take on two ECW originals in Lance Storm and Jerry Lynn! Lynn and Storm have met more than once in the past, but always as adversaries and never as a team. This first-time teaming could become the next big alliance in the storied history of the Pacific Northwest, or it could fall astray on the first show at the hands of former world-class tag team champions!

Extreme Enforcer vs. Hardcore Superheavyweight
Bob Holly vs. CW Anderson

Two non-nonsense, straight-forward brawlers go head to head and toe to toe at the Rebirth of Extreme! Bob Holly is one of the toughest, stiffest guys in the modern era, but CW Anderson is no slouch in that department either. This match guarantees to be a brutal, take-no-prisoners slugfest where only the toughest—or perhaps the surliest—will survive!

Falls Count Anywhere, No Holds Barred!
The Sandman vs. Devon Storm

No one exemplifies the heart of hardcore quite like the Sandman, although Devon Storm has been making his case for that particular association for quite some time. Here at the inaugural Total Package Wrestling Extreme event, they have a chance to prove who is more deserving of it! Storm and Sandman will meet in a raw, knock-down and drag out battle where anything goes and anywhere is game!

Heartland Combat Sports presents
"Sink or Swim"

Wednesday July 29th, 2009

5:30 PM bell time
Tickets $40 front row, $25 seating, $15 Gen Admission

International Dream Match
With the cooperation of New York Knock-Out Wrestling
Paul London vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima

Without a doubt, this a dream match in every sense of the word. Paul London has made his name as one of the World's Best Cruiserweights, holding the WWE Cruiserweight Title. He is a trainee of the Texas Wrestling Academy and many view him as the most underrated wrestler on the planet. Nakajima has put the entire Jr. Heavyweight division of Japan on notice, and has recently made his name in the U.S. A former GHC Champion, Nakajima is young, but he's very, very good. With both men having exciting, dynamic, fast-paced styles, the match should be a worthier a main event for our first show. The fact that this is a battle between promotions adds another level of intrigue. Nakajima will not want to go back to New York Knock-Out Wrestling with a loss, and London doesn't want to lose to someone from another promotion. Who will have the bragging rights when all is said and done?

Tag-Team Attraction
Roderick Strong & Jack Evans vs. The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian)

Jack Evans and Roderick Strong were once one of the most exciting duos in wrestling, but they have been estranged for the last three years. Finally, they will team once more, but they sure have their hands full. The Osirian Portal have been turning heads over the last two years, dominating CHIKARA's tag ranks and earning 411's "Rookie of the Year" award. They may not have the combined experience of their opponents, but they have the advantage of having teamed for the last few years while Strong and Evans haven't teamed in years. Strong brought a rather violent end to that relationship. Have they mended fences? Will their continuity be able to compete against one of the hottest young tag teams in the business?

The Ladies Are In Action
With the Cooperation of New York Knock Out Wrestling.
Lacey vs. Sara Del Ray vs. Nikki Roxx

Three of the top women's wrestlers in North America lock-up in this special attraction. With Roxx coming in from NY-KO, one might assume that Lacey and Sara Del Ray might form an alliance. But there's no love lost between those two! Who will set herself up as the dominant female in HCS?

The GHC Champion Faces An Up-And-Comer!
Go Shiozaki vs. Erick Stevens

When this match was signed a month ago, both men were still young and looking to improve their standings in the wrestling world. Hoping to recreate a Kenta Kobashi-Steve Williams vibe, we looked forward to this battle of athletic powerhouse. However, we were surprised when Go Shiozaki made a huge leap in his career when he became GHC Heavyweight Champion. While he is not defending the title here, it certainly makes him a target. Erick Stevens now has one of the biggest opportunities of his career: a chance to beat one of the top champions in Japan. Will he rise to the occasion or crumble under the pressure?

Triple Threat Match
Petey Williams vs. Sean Morley vs. BJ Whitmer

All three of these men have something to prove. Petey Williams has a huge reputation for his work in TNA, but he has recently been released. Val Venis was always a solid hand, but had been meandering in WWE's lower card for years prior to his release. BJ Whitmer had an epic feud with Jimmy Jacobs in ROH, but a losing streak and an ill-advised association with Adam Pearce preceded the end of his run. Who will increase his stock in Heartland Combat Sports?

Singles Bout
Mercedes Martinez vs. Rain

Martinez was not happy that she was shafted from the "bigger" ladies attraction match, as she has scores to settle with Del Ray. Martinez did some investigated and found out that Lacey "might" be using her political clout to make the match easier for her to win. The owner disregarded her beliefs as "purely speculation", but seems to have taken a step to appease Martinez by putting her in the ring with Lacey's tag team partner, the lovely Rain. Will the intrigue surrounding the match overshadow the fact that both women are extremely talented in their own rights?

The Youth Movement!
PUMA vs. Fire Ant

One of the goals of Heartland Combat Sports is to give young, talented competitors a chance to make their mark on wrestling. We take the first step in this goal when we pit these two young, hungry, and talented luchadors against each other in our opening match! Participating on the first match of the very first show of HCS is a somewhat scary proposition, but we don't think these two will disappoint.

Lone Star Wrestling (LSW) presents
"Texas Tussle"

Saturday July 18, 2009
Mexico Lindo Arena
10724 Garland Road
Dallas, Texas
6:00 PM Bell time
Tickets $30 Front Row, $20 Reserved, $15 General Admission

"The Main Event" KENTA v. Ken Anderson
In the first ever Lone Star Wrestling Main Event, International Superstar, KENTA, faces the former WWE Superstar, Ken Anderson. This is a first time ever encounter and it will not disappoint. Anderson may be the favorite with the crowd because of his following but KENTA is an individual that will not be fazed by that disadvantage. The winner will poise themselves as the face of the organization for the time being.

"Texas KO Special" Lance Cade v. Chris Hero
Lance Cade was trained by one of Texas' greatest and Chris Hero is a legend of the Indies. These two will meet in a special Knockout match where the only way to win is to keep your opponent down for the count of six (one for all six of Texas' flags). These two have never faced each other in one on one competition and their first encounter will surely be a memorable one.

"Doubles Action" The Youngbucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) v. Adam Pearce and Ultimo Guerrero
It may seem like a mismatch to have an established team like the Youngbucks face a team with no prior experience but Adam Pearce and Ultimo Guerrero are two veterans that have made their mark in wrestling. The styles clash may be present but these four competitors will bring their best to get a win in this tag team match.

"The West Coast- Far East Clash" Joey Ryan v. Naruki Doi
These wrestlers have had pretty similar careers. Both of these guys are great in the ring and they've also been giving the chance to wrestle on National TV. Now they bring their ability to Dallas and they could steal the show. Ryan is a sleazy character and Doi is crisp and quick which will make for an exciting contest. Both of these guys could make some noise in the company.

"Light Heavyweight Showcase" James Maritato v. PAC v. Jimmy Olsen v. BxB Hulk
This opener is sure to get the fans on their feet and ready for an exciting night of Lone Star Wrestling action. James Maritato is a well traveled veteran who is the favorite going into the match but experience doesn't always guarantee victory. PAC, Jimmy Olsen and the man from Japan, BxB Hulk, all look to make some noise in this fast-paced environment.

Total Wrestling Alliance: Toronto presents

TWAT – Shaved

Sunday, 6 September (6/9/09) at the Ted Reeve Arena, Toronto. 7:30pm bell time
Tickets $40 front row, $20 row 2-5 , $10 Gen Admission. See www.twat.ca for more information.
Making a special appearance at the show will be Hall of Famer and wrestling legend, The Iron Sheik! Sheik will be available for autographs, photos, and old country humblings before and after the show!

THE CARD

Hair vs Hair for the TWAT Heavyweight Title
Nigel McGuinness vs Nick Dinsmore ©

McGuinness has been very vocal in his criticism of the signing of Dinsmore, who he calls "a has-been comedy act tosser who wasn't even funny to start with". After leveling Dinsmore with the iron during an interview 2 weeks ago, Nigel figured he had earned a title shot. Co-Commissioner Al Snow granted him a title shot challenge against the always dangerous Kevin Steen, which Nigel won after a grueling 40-minute war. A non-title match between McGuinness and Dinsmore ended after Nigel used his spiky hair to poke Dinsmore in the eye and get the small package for the win. Dinsmore tried to make a challenge for the title but once again was left lying after an iron shot and this time, covered in green spray paint with his thumb stuck in his mouth. After such an obvious reference to He Who Shall Not Be Named, you can bet Nick Dinsmore is out for revenge, the title…and Nigel's trademark spiked locks!

Title Shot Challenge for 10/10 In the Lion's Den
Human Tornado vs Classic Colt Cabana

No feud better exemplifies TWAT and its unique style than Cabana-Tornado. Following a tag team victory over The Highlanders to earn a tag team title shot, Cabana and Tornado were dancing and celebrating in the ring with the Torna-hoes. Cabana got a little to touchy-feely with Candace LaRae, which upset Tornado. Heated words ensued, but it seemed as though the two had settled their differences. At the very next show CabaNado challenged Los Ice Creams for the TWAT Tag Titles and looked to be well on their way to victory after a Colt 45, but Tornado ordered LaRae to interfere by kicking Cabana in the nuts! Over the past 6 months these two have been trying to one-up each other in everything from dance-offs to beating their opponents fastest, and they finally face off one-on-one at Shaved...with a title shot on the line!

The Chant Heard 'Round The Lake
Kevin Steen vs Jimmy Rave

Jimmy Rave came to TWAT to escape the chants that have dogged him his entire Indy career. For a while it looked like he had succeeded, until he ran afoul of Mr Wrestling Kevin Steen. Following a loss to Rave in questionable circumstances (replays showed that Rave had either adjusted or loaded his kneepad prior to a shining wizard, but were inconclusive), Steen resurrected the old "Jimmy likes balls" chant. Two shows later, Jimmy Rave had a title shot challenge against Rob Conway interrupted by a "Jimmy Swallows" chant, allowing Conway to connect with the Conway con Helo for the win. Jimmy marched into co-commissioner Al Snow's office and demanded a match against Steen, which was gladly accepted. Will Steen's crowd orchestration be enough to keep the Crown Jewel of the Embassy off-balance, or will Rave shut Steen's mouth for good?

Cruiserweight Title Challenge!
El Generico vs A yet-to-be-announced member of Sweet and Sour Incorporated

Larry Sweeney is not one to take anything sitting down...except when he eats one of El Generico's burritos! The Generic Luchador left his lunch where Sweeney could find it, and it didn't last long. Unfortunately Sweeney's stomach wasn't a fan of the spicy snack, and he spent the next two days praying to the porcelain gods as the bottom fell out of his world and the world fell out of his bottom. Convinced he had been intentionally poisoned, Sweeney challenged Generico to defend the cruiserweight title against a member of his own stable! Will Generico be able to adapt to the surprise opponent?

Tag Team Title Matchup!
Team 2.0 vs Los Ice Creams

Since coming to TWAT, 2.0 have impressed both on the mic and in the ring. They've certainly done enough to earn a title shot against the chillin' villains of French vanilla, Los Ice Creams. This should be an absolute classic of comedy mixed with high-paced action, don't miss it!

Special Challenge Match
Kenny Omega vs Jigsaw

Local favourite Kenny Omega has won some fans since coming to TWAT 4 short months ago. Can he keep his undefeated streak going against a newly-rejuvenated Jigsaw?

The Open Challenge Continues!
Kwee Wee vs TBD

The Flamboyant One Kwee Wee has had an open challenge for 7 months now, consistently beating young local talents. The appeal "Who will fight the Kwee Wee?" has become a cue for beatdowns. Who WILL fight the Kwee Wee? Will the result be any different?

Battle Royale for a TWAT Roster Spot

Announced talent includes Super Crazy, Ultramantis Black, Solider Ant, Matt Cross, Bobby Fish, Ryo Saito, Icarus, Ruckus and Drew Gulak! Elimination is ONLY by pinfall or submission!

New York Knock Out Wrestling (NY-KO)
presents "First Round"

Saturday July 25th, 2009
The New Yorker Hotel
481 8th Avenue & 34th Street
New York, New York, 10001
7:30 PM belltime
Tickets $50 front row $30 seating, $15 Gen Admission

International Heavyweight Showdown
Bobby Lashley vs. Kensuke Sasaki

It's the biggest and baddest man on the NY-KO roster matching up against one of the foremost powerhouses in Japanese wrestling history. The ring will shake with the buzz of the fans as the look on at this spectacle and wonder what will happen when these two big men battle it out! Bobby Lashley is bound to use his MMA training, mixing his strikes and wrestling ability to take out the venerable Kensuke Sasaki, who will look to counter with fierce chops and violent suplexes. This isn't about bad blood, but rather to see who the baddest man on the block truly is. This unique and one-of-a-kind dream match can only be seen in NY-KO!

Triple Threat Dream Match
With the co-operation of Heartland Combat Sports
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Paul London vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Here is another special and unique dream match that combines some of the most athletic, agile and intriguing performers currently on the wrestling scene. Thanks to New Japan Pro Wrestling, Hiroshi Tanahashi will appear and look to impress the American fans with his wrestling acumen and lightning fast, precision moves. Paul London will make a special appearance, ready and excited to mix it up with two awesome, internationally renowned talents. Meanwhile Claudio Castagnoli has seemed to take umbrage that he did not get the main event match he requested—a battle against Bobby Lashley. It seems Castagnoli believes that Lashley is ducking him in a typically American fashion. Getting in touch with NY-KO promoters, Castagnoli vowed he would not overlook Tanahashi or London, but that in winning this match he would prove he deserved a match against Bobby Lashley to prove European superiority over American brawn.

The Heavy Hitters Show Off Their Skills
Davey Richards vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima

Get ready for a show-stealing match in the making! The vile and remorseless Davey Richards will go strike for strike against the young and talented protégé of Kensuke Sasaki in Katsuhiko Nakajima. Richards is a dangerous man, but then again Nakajima has proven with his kicks and endless supply of stamina that he is not a pushover. These two will take each other to the limits in this feature attraction bout.

A Fight is a Brewing
2 Cold Scorpio vs. Elijah Burke

Elijah Burke wasted no time in laying the verbal smackdown on 2 Cold Scorpio, running down the long time wrestling veteran. Burke has no respect for 2 Cold, his past or his abilities in the ring. 2 Cold heard about Burke's comments and requested a match to teach Burke a lesson. Will it be a "2 Cold" day for Burke or will it be "4 Up"-side the head of Scorpio? This could only be the beginning of what looks to be a huge grudge between two very proud men who find themselves both in the same promotion.

Tag Team Attraction
Dark City Fight Club of Jon Davis & Kory Chavis (w. Francisco Ciatso) vs. Soul Touchaz of Willie Richardson & Marshe Rockett (w. C-Red, Acid Jazz and Trauma)

The rough and ready crew of the Dark City Fight Club is ready to get the fight started when they battle against this fun-loving, soul-touching group. C-Red vows DCFC will get taken to church in this one when Willie drops "da bomb" on them and Marshe "rockets" into the fray. NY-KO's tag division is sure to start with a bang thanks to this one!

Singles Attraction Match—Hardcore Rules
Balls Mahoney vs. Drake Younger

Younger has a lot of respect for the "Hardcore" icons of the past, and Balls Mahoney no doubt ranks among them. However, Drake wants to be known as the "Hardcore Icon" of the present. He's had some rough and bloody battles on the independent scene but can even he defeat the chair-swinging freak of nature known as Balls Mahoney? This match will be contested under no disqualification Hardcore Rules!

Ladies Knock-Out Fight
With the co-operation of Heartland Combat Sports
Nikki Roxx vs. Mercedes Martinez

The hardcore mistress of NY-KO, Nikki Roxx will be ready to step up and prove herself to the NY-KO fans…but to do it she needs to win against New York City's very own Mercedes Martinez! Roxx isn't intimidated, but she knows this fight will get physical. Both she and Martinez are ready to go.

Singles Attraction Match
Tyson Tomko vs. Kenny Dykstra

The towering titan known as Tomko is going to go straight-ahead in his road to the top of NY-KO. He starts out against a hotshot with a mouth and the in-ring skills to go with it in Dykstra.

P-DUBYA-TWO! P-DUBYA-TWO! P-DUBYA-TWO!

The hype-job for the "Reloaded" show really captured my imagination. The ringside cage idea is brilliant!

I think if we're talking real-life, though, NY-KO would sell some SERIOUS tickets.

Also, Lansdell: WE GET IT!!

I would kill to see Cabana/Tornado though....

While I wouldnt mind seeing any of these cards, my fave 3 right now are NYKO, TPWE, and TWAT. Either way I had fun following this. Good job guys and I'd really like to see this turn into a competition or something along the lines of everyone booking 4 or 5 shows with the results between weeks and see who we vote for in the end. I know not everyone has the time and motivation to do it, but I find other people's fantasy booking to be interesting when done in moderation.

i see a house attendance for each of these shows topping off at around 200 combined.....

the worst part is that you have no ticket sellers on these cards. no one is going to go. $40 for an unestablished indy card? what are you nuts? i understand the idea of fantasy but these are crazy people thoughts. there is not even a simple thread to tie these cards into reality. you might as well book superman vs spiderman because thats what these sound like. you marks should try to promote and run a real wrestling show one day. you might see it isn't as comfortable as your computer chairs.

LSW - I live in Dallas and I would pay almost anything to see that card. I would have to hide my young relatives from Joey Ryan though.

TWAT looks like it would be a card that would give me my money's worth for both comedy and in-ring action... However, I really am interested in seeing PW 2.0. That pitch really got me.

Some of these sound great. Twat, 2.0 and NY-KO especially

The only one I'd avoid like the plague is Koakoah. Too many matches that will probably get 20 minutes plus each means you're looking at a show time of well over 3 and a half hours. Plus no cameras or video cameras allowed? So how's this promotion ever going to get support? As a fan I pay money not only to be entertained but to get memories. And there's also a massive lack of any story to the majority of the matches. Wrestling isn't just a spot fest.

I'm amazed to be saying that because it's far and away the most talented roster. Just shows what a lousy booker can do with awesome talent

Dead stinking last) TWAT -- HAHAHAHAHA, you made your fed's name a dirty word. How clever! Where do you come up with such amazing witticisms?

Jonberg:
The 'no video cameras, etc.' part is a direct lift from Ring of Honor's event pages (an homage of sorts). It was not meant to limit fan interest.

As for match length, I think my final match times ended up under three hours total.

I also chose not to do full on explanations for each match, which I recognize is different from how the other writers chose to present their products. I believe (or at least hope) that after reading my show results, you will feel differently.

2.0 gets my vote as best card. Great storytelling in the set-up, one of my favorite unercard tag teams (Irish Airborne) and a Delerious / Aries matchup brewing.

KOAKH sucks for the "no digital cameras" rule. It's the lamest thing about ROH as well. Oh noes, the fans might get a few seconds of digital clips. I'd encourage the fans to have good cameras and then I'd offer to use their best shots as publicity material for the promotion. Fans would jump at the chance to help a new federation out, probably at no compensation other than being able to say it's their picture up on the company web site.
