    ROH on HDNet 09.07.09:

    QUICK RESULTS:
    - The Briscoe Brothers defeated Rhett Titus and Kenny King[***1/4]
    - Eddie Kingston defeated Sal Rinauro [N/R]
    - Nigel McGuinness defeated Aaron Scott [1/4*]
    - Jerry Lynn defeated Tyler Black [***3/4]

  • THE RIGHT:

GIMME BACK MY BRISCOES: As much as I've enjoyed Jay Briscoe's singles run, I was really happy to see these two back in action, together. This was just a fantastic piece of booking. Both teams needed a win: the Briscoes were coming back, and Rhett Titus and Kenny King would have gotten a huge win by beating the Briscoes, who are ROH's favorite sons. Both teams acted like they needed the win, and it worked. The real story here was Mark Briscoe, who kept the high-flying to a minimum due to his injury and just focused on hitting suplexes instead. Then, King Titus isolated Mark, who was most likely to be beat. Titus has shown considerably improvement when it comes to smart work, and King brought the sizzle. The Briscoes winning was never really in doubt, but at least they tried to create doubt. I also loved the finish as they did the standard Doomsday Device instead of the springboard version because it was easier on Mark's knee. Good stuff all around .

TAG TEAM WAR: Right after that match, The American Wolves came out to cut a promo, reminding us that they crippled Mark and they can do it again. Then, Kevin Steen and El Generico came out and helped the Briscoe beat up the Wolves. Then they grabbed the titles, Steen held one, Mark held the other, and we got a faceoff. The Wolves vs. Steenerico has been one of the best feuds on TV this year, and this was a simple way to get the Briscoes involved.

NIGEL PROMO: Nigel got a promo this week, and he ADDRESSED Tyler interrupting his promo from two weeks ago. I complained about Nigel not making an issue at the show, so this made me happy. He described Jerry Lynn and Tyler Black as "unfulfilled potential". Tyler hasn't won the title yet, and Lynn had a cup of coffee with the belt. Both of them had to keep their eye on the ball. The promo was fine, but I'm just glad that Nigel got to look like a star after the debacle from two weeks ago.

SAL GETS SAVED: This is, of course, in reference to Sal proving that he is Catholic before getting murdered by Eddie Kingston's Backfist. This happened after Chris Hero said NO to Eddie getting a rematch (by way of Shane Hagadorn). I'm still sick of waiting for Hero vs. Kingston, and it better deliver big when it happens, but I couldn't help but love this.

BLACK VS. LYNN - THE MATCH: This match was really good, and I enjoyed it a lot. Black showed some of the heel tactics that made him popular in the first place, and Lynn didn't look rusty at all. They messed up on a lionsault spot, but other than that, all of the in-ring action was clean. Nothing wrong with the in-ring action. It was great and that's why it is in the right.

  • PURGATORY:

NIGEL VS. AARON SCOTT: This was the definition of "meh". Nigel did some of his fancy stretches, missed the Jawbreaker Lariat and finished with a DDT, a move I've never seen him do before. It seemed really sudden and leads me to believe that Aaron didn't know that the Jawbreaker was supposed to be the finish. Not out and out horrible, and it gave Nigel a win, but I never want to see it again.

BLACK VS. LYNN - THE BOOKING: The booking did a few good things, in theory. Nigel interfered and cost Tyler the match by putting Lynn's foot on the rope after the buckle bomb/superkick combo. Black got upset and Lynn caught him with a small package. So, in theory, this continues the Black vs. Nigel rivalry, and gives Lynn a win. Problem 1: Lynn was absolutely schooled towards the end of the match: Tyler didn't play the underdog, he played a dominant edgy babyface. Black would have won, and won decisively, but Nigel saved him, and Lynn got a fluke win that does him no favors. Black and Nigel was a good idea at the time, but now, Tyler is injured and Nigel is leaving, so the TV viewers will never get to see the payoff. Hindsight is 20/20 sometimes.

    The 411

I enjoyed the show. There were two quality matches (one slightly marred by the booking) and one hilarious squash. We saw the Briscoes debut as a team, and they helped elevate Kenny King and Rhett Titus by having a good, competitive match with them. They advanced the storylines (even though one won't get the final chapter) and made me want to tune in next week. There was nothing truly bad and the worst thing was booking that worked out poorly due to unforeseen circumstances. Not a great show, but a very good one.

    Superstars 09.10.09:

  • THE RIGHT:

Miz & Swagger vs. Kingston & Primo: So when did Kofi Kingston become one of the most popular people in WWE? I mean, the guy's never had a real feud, he hasn't had that breakout match on television or pay-per-view that drops people's jaws, and I'm not entirely sure that he's cut a promo. But the people sure do seem to pop for him. I don't begrudge him for it, I'm just trying to understand it. Maybe the Raw fans just get excited when they see anybody that can do a flippy move. Or maybe he buys the fans drinks like Lance Hoyt did when he worked for TNA. That would be a lot more expensive for Kofi than it was for Lance, so I'm going to assume that isn't the reason. For two tag teams that had never teamed before, both units make a lot of sense. Miz & Swagger are both brash over-confident rule breakers with a lot of ability and upside, while Kofi & Primo are both happy-go-lucky babyfaces who fly around a lot. I wouldn't mind either of these teams sticking around, and their match was pretty solid.

Katie Lea Burchill vs. The Bellas: Katie is obviously much better and seems more motivated in a wrestling role than in her valet role alongside Paul Burchill. The match here was decent enough for government work, but added nothing to the previous interactions with Katie & the Bellas, where they also switched places and tricked Katie into losing. Sidenote: is there a dumber family in WWE canon than the Burchills? You've got Katie, who keeps falling for the whole double switch by the Bellas thing, and her brother Paul is preoccupied with trying to prove that Hurricane Helms & Gregory Helms are the same person. There must be something in the water over in Chelsea, England. I still don't get the hate from Internet fans for the Bella twins. Sure, they aren't the greatest wrestlers in the world, and they haven't been proven to be great at much other than looking hot yet, but the way people talk about them in the comment section you'd think they killed their family or something.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Slam Master J: It's refreshing to see a second-generation wrestling talent not get pushed down our throats. Take young Slam Master J here, son of Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy. Instead of getting pushed just because his dad did something a long time ago like certain people on the WWE roster, J gets to work his way up the ranks with an Old Style Cena gimmick. This week he got defeated pretty handily by Dolph Ziggler, who reminds this humble correspondent of a young Billy Gunn. Why Internet fans are going gaga over a young Billy Gunn, I'm not sure, but he does have the whole "good physique, lots of athletic ability, dyed blond hair" thing going for him. Ziggler's PPV matchup for Breaking Point was pushed off the card, which either means that they don't have confidence in him and John Morrison to have a solid pay per view match, or they want to take some time to build the feud up. Or maybe they'll forget about the whole Ziggler/Morrison thing when Rey Mysterio comes back from his Wellness vacation.

  • PURGATORY:

Kane vs. Jimmy Wang Yang: Congratulations Jimmy, you're still employed! Now here's the bad news…you're facing Kane. And you're getting about as much offense as a five foot tall Asian redneck would get in a real fight against a seven foot tall guy who now likes to hit people with a Singapore cane. The one good thing about this match was that it served to hype Kane's match with Great Khali on the weekend's PPV. Now, I can't tell you why anybody would want to see that match, but this was a step up from their previous pre-PPV edition of Superstars that featured nobody that would be appearing on the PPV.

  • THE WRONG:

Sheamus vs. Yoshi Tatsu: The fun thing about this match was figuring out which guy WWE thinks will be a big star and which guy they think will be filler. To be fair, little high-flying Japanese guys are a dime a dozen and you can't find very many redheaded ghost pale guys with decent physiques. So Sheamus is certainly more unique than Mr. Tatsu, and it'll probably be fun when he challenges Finlay or Hornswoggle for the bragging rights of being Ireland's best sports-entertainer. This match was just kinda there…when the highpoint of any match is Matt Striker making fifteen-year-old kids movie references, there isn't a lot going on.

    The 411

I'm going to go against common Internet opinion here and say that a show with more short matches is better than a show with a couple of long matches. Just because a match goes longer doesn't necessarily mean it's good, and a couple of Superstars shows have been good evidence of that. This reminded me of the TNA Impact on Fox Sports Net days, where nearly every show had five matches and none of them were particularly long. There was a lot of stuff going on here, we got to see a lot of people (some we don't get to see very often), and the main event was at least entertaining if not must-see television. Good effort from the Superstars this week.

    iMpact! 09.10.09:

  • THE RIGHT:

4-Way Tag Team Clusterfuck: Yeah, this was pretty great. I loved how they kicked off the show with this match in progress. As long as they do it rarely, that is a great little trick to pull. Loved it. The match itself was really good too, with everyone working hard and doing their shit. Despite the fact that there are a lot of guys here who aren't that good workers, when you put them in this kind of environment where they don't have to be going 100% 100% of the time, it really works. And for the record, putting these guys in Lethal Lockdown at the pay-per-view is a fantastic move, and I fully expect that match, or Daniels/Joe, to steal the show. In fact, that pay-per-view looks pretty fucking boss.

The World Elite Tries to Recruit Hernandez: Hector Guerrero, baby! Hell yes! Actually, at times it's hard to watch Hector because of how much his looks and mannerisms mirror that of the late, great Eddie Guerrero. But still, I really liked the use of Hector here and just hope it leads somewhere. Of course, later in the night we got the Elite goading Hernandez to the ring by attacking Homicide, and then we got the inevitable swerve. Was it predictable? Yes, but it wasn't a swerve for the sake of a swerve, which is the important thing. Hopefully this leads to a bigger role in the company for Homicide, who is just as deserving as Hernandez is of a push. Overall, both segments involving the World Elite this week were strong ones, and I no longer have any problems taking Eric Young seriously as he really has made this role his own.

D'Angelo Dinero vs. Jay Lethal: Not much to say here, other than the fact that Dinero continues to look every bit the star people thought he was when he worked in WWE. I'm not overly looking forward to the match with Suicide, because Suicide is still a horrible character as was evident by his promo earlier in the night, but any time the Pope is on my screen, it's good times. The Pope is indeed pimpin'.

The Beautiful People vs. Madison Rayne and Roxxi: So Roxxi was Rayne's mystery partner, to no one's surprise. But there you go. The match itself was actually fairly strong, with all four chicks looking very good actually. Importantly the right team went over, because we do need legitimate teams in the latter stages of the tournament, not just random pairings thrown together for the sake of the tournament. Speaking of which…

  • PURGATORY:

Daffney and Alissa Flash vs. Sarita and Taylor Wilde: First thing's first, I still don't like the thrown-together tag teams but what's worse is that Taz and Tenay pointed out on commentary that they hadn't teamed before, which surely just underlines what a poor idea the tournament is. More importantly, the match was a little off. At times no one seemed to know what was going and a few spots were missed quite blatantly. It wasn't an abortion by any means, but considering the talent involved here, this should have been much better than it was.

Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles and Daniels: Upon hearing the news that we'd be getting this tah match in the main event, my reaction was something along the lines of "FUCK YES!" These are probably the four top guys in the company and four of the best in the business. Once upon a time Styles and Daniels were the best tag team in the business, and we've all seen what they can do in the ring with both Joe and Angle, former tag champions in their own right. However, the match was not all that great, possibly because expectations were too high. It just felt like they were working at half-pace and some things just didn't click as well as they could've done. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad match by any means, but at the same time it was under whelming and the finish looked really stupid as well. However, I did like the post-match antics with Angle and Matt Morgan, and as I've said, I'm really digging the whole Morgan/Angle thing and I wish we were getting a one-on-one match between the two rather than the four-way.

Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie: First of all, this has been building for weeks and they give this match away in 3-minutes on free TV. I'd actually have enjoyed seeing Abyss destroy Stevie in a hardcore environment for 10-15 minutes on PPV, but perhaps that is just me. The post-match antics were fine for what they were, and I am intrigued by the Abyss/Foley alliance, only because I eventually want to see them in a match together, hardcore rules obviously. In fact, thinking about it, Abyss would be a great recruit for the Mafia and it would probably replenish his character a hell of a lot.

  • THE WRONG:

    Nothing

  • THE RIDICULOUS:

MMA Match: Cody Deaner vs. Tara: OK, first of all, is there any particular reason why this was a MMA match? That was the first stupid thing about this crap. Then of course there's the fact that Cody Deaner is competing against Knockouts in a quest to become King of the Knockouts and Knockout's Champion. Fuck this shit. No one will take your division seriously with this guy in or around the title picture. This is great evidence for argument that TNA should not be bringing in tag titles. It is this kind of shit that makes people embarrassed to be fans. So bad, on so many levels.

    The 411

So outside of the Cody Deaner bullshit, TNA hits another home run. This was another great show in a string of them for TNA, and it finally seems that TNA is turning itself around and becoming a must-watch show again. Not quite on the level of SmackDown, but I am now looking forward to this show every single week. The Morgan/Angle feud is great, and the World Elite/Mafia alliance and potential rift makes for great TV. I have very few complaints to make about TNA at the moment.

    WWE SmackDown 09.11.09

  • THE RIGHT:

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WITH PUNK AND TAKER: SmackDown began with the infamous gong and the crowd going wild, as the Undertaker's entrance began. Ahh, how I've missed that five-minute entrance. Okay, not really, but this wasn't the five-minute entrance with druids, the slow walk, all that stuff. They're saving it for Pay-Per-View it seems which is great because that's where it's most effective. I loved J.R.'s line about the Hell's Gate, that it "would encourage Satan to move north." That's just one of many lines which proves once again why Jim Ross is the best announcer in the business today. Taker got on the mic and…okay, I've got to say it. Who is dishing out the shitty spray-on tan backstage at SmackDown? 'cause Taker was looking like Matt Hardy from a few weeks ago. Maybe it's just too much time in the Houston sun. Anyway, Taker started in his gloom and doom talk about CM Punk being scared and waking up every night in a pool of his own sweat. Taker's never been one of the greatest talkers in the business, but he handles the overwrought promos he does quite decently and tonight was no exception.

Taker said Punk would be handing Taker his title and his soul, which brought Punk out. Punk called Taker worse than Jeff Hardy, because he's preyed on the fans chemically induced minds for years with all his smoke and mirrors. You know, I was actually very curious to see how Punk was going to transition to someone who doesn't have a well-known drug past, and he did pretty well. I loved his line about Taker being this generation's Alice in Wonderland and the hippy knock…and hell, I'm a bit of a hippy myself. You know, except the bathing part. Punk mentioned the Anaconda Vice and said that Taker didn't have a chance, which was going to drive the fans to their addictions. There were a lot of good things I saw in here…first, that Punk isn't afraid of Taker, at least by the way he's talking here. I was legitimately worried they were going to betray Punk's character and have him running scared, but they aren't and I appreciate that. The other thing is that Punk held his own on the mic with Taker and the fans seemed to still be piling on the heat not because of Taker being his opponent, but because of who he is. This worked well for an opening segment and set things up nicely, both for the main event and for Breaking point.

FINLAY vs. MIKE KNOX: As Knox made his way down to the ring for this match, we got another pre-taped promo about how lizards let their tails go to avoid predators, but Knox wasn't going to be satiated with Finlay's tail, he wanted all of him. Okay, that was creepy in a lot of ways, really. This was a Belfast Brawl, which let Finlay and Knox step it up a notch. They did some decent power brawling before taking it outside, at which point weapons came into play. As WWE-style hardcore TV matches go this was pretty decent, mostly due to the chemistry both men have with each other and the effective use of the weapons. Knock punting the chair into Finlay's head looked nasty and he sold the garbage can shots like a champ. There was an awkward moment when Knox whipped Finlay into the table a bit wrong and it didn't break, but otherwise the action was great. This was the equivalent of the Beth/Mickie match from a couple of Raws ago where Beth beat on Mickie for a while until Mickie got the pin out of nowhere. I'm okay with it because a weapon shot is something that should be able to stop a midcarder in their tracks, and this did help Knox get over some I believe. I wanted to dislike this because I think it's too early to put Finlay over but it played well so I'm happy.

DOLPH CHEATS ON MARIA…NOT!: Could it be, folks? Could it be that despite Dolph being an absolute dick in the ring, he's actually being real with Maria? It would seem so, as he showed up at the Diva locker room and was greeted by Michelle. The champ tried to come onto him, but he steadfastly held her off and even seemed embarrassed when he fell into her and Layla's little ploy. I'm intrigued by this, because frankly while it's been discussed here before I didn't expect them to go with it. Anyway, this was very short but I enjoyed it, and I'm interested to see where it goes.

BIG SHOW & JERICHO vs. CRYME TYME: Yes, I realize that JeriShow is an obvious team name, but it's not one I'm particularly fond of for whatever reason…it seems to cutesy. And that's coming from a guy who's called people "Day-Glo Warrior," "Tattoo Killer" and "Vicky the Chipmunk." As the champs came down we saw what had happened on Raw and learned how pissed the champs were over it. Meanwhile, Cryme Tyme seem to have lost some of their pop after they've stopped feuding with the champs, which is really to be expected I suppose. The opening part of the match was Cryme Tyme looking pretty good against the champs before Jericho stopped him and Show came in to kick some ass. They let Cryme Tyme come back and JTG even looked good, particular with that skin the cat dropkick, before Show knocked his ass out and Jericho got the win. This helped Cryme Tyme look decent and got Jericho and Show some momentum heading into Breaking Point. Can't ask for more than that.

MATT HARDY vs. CM PUNK: Once again, I like noting that Matt Hardy is hugely over with the crowd, and am interested in seeing how he does when he's feuding with someone who's not a heat magnet like Punk. This was a submission match and it allowed Punk and Matt to put their technical hats on to good effect. I love what this mini-feud has done for Matt's credibility and he looked good here hanging with Punk. Matt's technical skills, I feel, are a bit underrated and he brought them out to play here tonight. The half-crab he had on Punk was pretty impressive-looking, for example. Meanwhile, Punk looked strong and relentless once he took control, and he picked Matt apart methodically here. There were a couple moments where the match slowed down a bit but it was overall very good, and it got the Vice back on TV as Punk made Matt tap to it. Good stuff, and the ending was good here as Taker showed up on the stage with Punk's belt to give a strong ending to the show.

  • PURGATORY:

JOHN MORRISON vs. CHARLIE HAAS: Oh wow, Haas has new ring attire. Again. It's not going to help him get over, but it's nice to see. Morrison came out to a nice little crowd reaction and quickly got into it with Haas. Haas started off looking decent in the ring, but frankly the crowd was sitting on their hands until Morrison made his comeback. That's always been Haas's problem and always well…he just doesn't connect with the crowd. There was some good wrestling, but still I had some issues with this match. It was a bit short, but that's to be expected for what was essentially an extended squash. Morrison screwed up the Starship Pain this time around, and I think he'll do that from time to time. I still love the move. This was okay, but I was expecting more.

After the match, Morrison got on the mic and displayed a much more natural style as he talked about winning the Title last week. He wasn't great by any stretch, but he's got to transition from the more over-the-top patterns he had. The problem here was that he just came off as sort of generic. I also don't know that it's a good idea to push Rey so hard during his suspension, especially after the Hardy fiasco. Yes, I realize it was too late to edit it out since the news broke on Friday, but the fact is they're still pushing a guy to the crowd while he's suspended for a Wellness Violation and that bothers me. Dolph then came out and outdid Morrison on the mic. Dolph sounded damn good, and I thought he was the best thing about this segment. I can't wait to see how the feud between Ziggler and Morrison plays out. It should be very entertaining and will do more for both guys. This, though, I wasn't that into. That's just how it goes sometimes.

  • THE WRONG:

MORE VINCE TRASHING TEDDY NONSENSE: I'm sorry, someone may be enjoying this whole thing, but it's not me. I don't particularly like Vince trashing SmackDown when it's clearly putting on the better product. I don't like the awkward back and forth between Long and Vince which just doesn't seem to work right. The two simply don't play off of each other very well and that drags what enjoyment would be possible out of these segments and this storyline. Teddy said that next week he had a huge surprise that would change the face of SmackDown, and at Breaking Point he'd have something good. Somehow, I think I should be worried. This segment sucked the life out of the show for a few minutes and I wish they'd finish this storyline up quickly.

MELINA vs. LAYLA: Okay, my first problem with this is simple. We've seen this match in recent weeks. That just makes this a rehash. Second, these two should be able to work together better based on that. The first iffy spot was a flapjack that didn't have enough height to it and almost looked like an aborted backdrop attempt. Layla looked more impressive once again in certain spots and both she and Melina picked things up, but they had moments of slowness and awkwardness that just bugged me. The final thing that bothered me was this—a crutch to the gut was enough to put Melina down for the three-count? Really? I mean, to the head I can kind of get. But that was a pretty weak finish. I like both of these women, but this was not one of their best matches by any stretch.

McINTYRE BEATS UP TRUTH…AGAIN: Okay, three weeks in a row now, and nothing's changed. This time it was in an interview, but sorry that's not different folks. Truth wanted a match with Drew but instead got an ass-kicking. This was good on its own but it's repetitive and it puts them in a tough spot. At this point, McIntyre has made Truth his complete bitch. If he beats Truth, then he joins Chavo, Santino and Kane in the graveyard. If he wins though, it hurts Drew right out of the gate. Do it once, maybe twice, then move on. Three times of the same is just too much.

  • THE RIDICULOUS:

DID YOU KNOW?: Nope. And, as always, I don't care.

DH SMITH vs. THE GREAT KHALI KANE BEATDOWN ON KHALI: This was billed as a match between Khali and Smith, but that never got off the ground because Kane came in and attacked Khali. Khali came back and Punjabi Plunged the man to stand tall. Gee, why would I not like this? First off, I will say I'm glad we didn't get a Khali vs. Smith match because it would have been a Khali squash and the Hart Dynasty don't need that right now. However, this was very short and pretty much turned into this:

Yes, Kane…at least there's that. Seriously, there was no need for them to bury Kane like that unless they're planning on having him go over at Breaking Point, Which I somehow doubt. Yes, I hated this. Try not to be too surprised.

    The 411

Not as good of a show as we've seen in recent weeks, but it was still quite good. We had a couple strong matches and some interesting segments, counterbalanced quality-wise by a few things that just seemed played out. I don't think we need to see another Drew McIntyre beating Truth segment or yet another Layla/Melina match but ah, well. Hard-sell shows don't always work as shows in and of themselves, and what was important here was that they sold the Pay-Per-View which they did well. I can live with that.

    SHOW RATING: 7.0

    From Carbs:
The opening segment on Raw made me laugh out loud for the first time on a WWE show. IRS cracked me up with the taxes line!

Jericho vs. MVP was really good as was Cody vs. Cena

Interestingly I have to agree on the Chavo - Swoggle angle which is the pits imo & Show - Henry which was so boring.

Wouldn't it have been a great moment if Santino had defied the odds & slammed the big show...you would have thought we would have put more effort given the Bellas in the Hot tub...Hubba Hubba!

Although Masters is an awful opponent. Why couldn't Legacy get one over on DX. I can't remember the last team that beat them.

The last team to beat D-X was Rated RKO. However, they've also put Morrison and Miz over without losing to them, and they've actually been doing the same for Priceless here. I'm not saying I don't want them to give Ted and Cody the rub, I just think that we shouldn't be disappointed too much if they don't, as long as they help the two out. As for Masters…well, if they hired him, they should at least try to push him and not give him the D'Lo Brown treatment. Just sayin'.

    From Jason Douglas:
Bob Barker is neck and neck with Seth Green for best guest host so far. Summer vacations in childhood were always made better by seeing The Price is Right every morning, and it's amazing how seamlessly they combined it with Raw. If we can't have the long, classic matches we get from the blue brand, at least we still have a very entertaining show. I was relieved to see that Bob's mental faculties are still sharp, which was my only worry going in.

CHRIS JERICHO vs. MVP: With Bob standing on the stage, I realized for the first time that MVP acts just like a contestant at the start of his ring entrance. This was a good match and another step forward for MVP.

CHAVO vs. HORNSWAGGLE EVAN BOURNE: So entering the ring and, um, hydrating someone isn't grounds for a DQ? Is only water legal, or will we see cold coffee as a weapon again?

Apparently not. That did bug me, but it was still miles ahead of what we've seen to date. As for the best Raw guest host, I'd put Barker in a tie with Freddie Prinze Jr. I know, call me crazy but I loved him; Seth was just kind of there and wasn't bad, but didn't do as much for me as these two.

    From The Great Capt. Smooth:
I'd love for the WWE to start selling Barker products. He'd be one of their biggest sellers.

I would TOTALLY buy WWE/Bob Barker stuff. A T-Shirt that said "I like your singing but then I'm tone deaf" would be my new karaoke shirt.

Jeremy, you summed up my thoughts perfectly on Melina and Layla. Melina should have been able to kick out of that crutch shot, and I would liked to see Layla come back with a more devastating move to beat Melina. Matt looked very impressive hanging with CM Punk. I think that with a little more time to develop their chemistry, Punk and Matt could easily have a MOTY on PPV someday. Matt's technical skills are definitely underrated and given the proper platform to showcase his technical talents, he and Punk could definitely steal the show.

"Yes, I realize that JeriShow is an obvious team name, but it's not one I'm particularly fond of for whatever reason…it seems to cutesy."

    What about Wight2J?

I can't help but think the Tara/Deaner MMA thing was a recognition of sorts of Tara's MMA aspirations.

And here I was thinking Tara was done with bs comedy stuff after WWE.
