El Hijo del Perro Aguayo Hospitalized

The son of El Can de Nochistlan had to undergo emergency surgery due to a stomach ailment. According to reports el Perro Jr. was suffering from stomach pains and Doctors found and removed a tumor the size of a golfball. As of this writing he was still in intensive care. This information was released to the media by el Hijo del Perro Aguayo’s real life friend and Perros del Mal stablemate Damian 666.

As of April 13, 2011, Los Perros del Mal held a press conference in which they commented that el Hijo del Perro Aguayo Jr. is currently stable and conscious. He still isn’t completely out of the woods yet because the doctors have yet to find out if the tumor that was removed was benign or malignant.

Blue Demon Jr VS. El Hijo de Blue Demon?

Wrestling is very popular worldwide, and in every country there are wrestling rumors and urban myths that sometimes are never confirmed. Did FMW really get funded and run with Yakuza Yen? Did Sid really crap his pants at Wrestlemania 13? Did Mil Mascaras and Tineiblas have a private match for some mobsters? There is one urban myth that can now pretty much be labeled as confirmed. In the world of Lucha Libre one popular rumor is that Blue Demon Jr. was not really the son of the original Blue Demon. That he acquired the Blue Demon name with the blessing of the original can be confirmed though. Well on the website Bajo Las Capuchas Alejandro Muños Lomeli, the real life son of Blue Demon, had quite a bit of things to say to Blue Demon Jr. First off he goes on to state that Blue Demon Jr. has gone to various media outlets and stated that Alejandro Muñoz Lomeli is running a website selling “unofficial” Blue Demon merchandise. Lomeli calls Demon Jr. a compulsive liar and says he’s outing him on 4 lies that Demon Jr. has made. They are as follows: 1st Lie: They are not real life brothers. 2nd Lie: Blue Demon Jr. has stated that Lomeli’s website www.bluedemon.com.mx is not official. It is official selling merchandise of the original Blue Demon, the merchandise is all original and authentic. The site has been running for 9 years. 3rd Lie: Regarding Lomeli’s Café/Store, he has all the rights to sell official Blue Demon merchandise and memorabilia. While Blue Demon Jr. only has rights over the Blue Demon Jr. name. 4th Lie: Demon Jr. has made statements about Lomeli’s service. Lomeli says he has clients and customers all over Mexico and even the U.S. and he has yet to receive any complaints. His masks are all the original designs, unlike Blue Demon Jr. who changed his mask up a bit. If Demon Jr. continues talking, Lomeli says he has a few more things he can say.

While it’s shocking that this actually came to light, it’s not the least bit surprising. Various times there had been murmurs and whispers about the problems between Blue Demon Jr. and the family of Blue Demon. Word that Demon Jr. would be losing his mask was spread various times; the most recent was in 2007 when he was scheduled to face Espectro II in a Mask VS. Mask match. Now if this feud between the two continues it would be interesting to see if Demon Jr. eventually does have to drop his mask.

Forjando un Idolo is underway and one of the first wins go to Palacio Negro who defeated Rey Cometa, winning himself three points.

The momentum after La Gran Alternativa has apparently been delayed for Escorpion. He lost to Angel de Oro via DQ after he took off Angel de Oro’s mask. Ultimo Guerrero was non-too pleased about this. He confronted his pupil, they had a shoving match and it all ended with Ultimo Guerrero slapping Escorpion. On an interview Guerrero stated that he was upset with Escorpion because he’s teaching his team how to win the right way, and Escorpion goes out an gets himself DQ’d.

La Generacion Dorada can’t possibly hold all the titles, but they apparently are trying to.This week they just came out short when they faced the CMLL World Tag-Team Champions Los Guerreros de la Atlantida: Dragon Rojo Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero. The momentum might have been on La Generacion Doradas side but la Mascara and La Sombra lost the match after a Guerrero Special.

Lucha Poster of the Week

La Voz/The Voice

IWRG is always fun to watch with some solid wrestling and if the Mil Mascaras fan accident is being a dick you should know that Blue Demon Jr and el Hijo del Santo dont sign anithing that is not from their official merchandise and ask some money to do it, and a fun thing they say about El Rayo de Jalisco Jr Cien Caras match is that CMLL put some tv’s on the parking lot so people could see the match, and that forjando un idolo sound’s like a bad concept, if they want a new idol they just try to truly push someone, and not just put matches were no one is elevated, and give a conclusion to their rivalries, and not just forget about them in two weeks, and one last thing Ultimo Guerrero is not a bad ass he is De Otro Nivel

I agree, I think I read someone say that IWRG is the best promotion that no one is watching which I agree.
Now as far Mil Mascaras goes, my issue isn’t so much that he would refuse to autograph a mask or anything else for that matter. It isn’t a huge secret that many luchadores can be very, shall we say dickish! It’s that the man had the balls to do it on camera! Refusing to sign a mask for a reporter doing the interview with him! Instead he lectured the guy about the evil of pirated masks and when asked where one could find official masks he stated that they were available in the U.S. and Japan for special order, in Mexico they are not for sale. Now let me get this straight, your official masks are not available in Mexico, so you get pissed about people selling unofficial ones on the street? How are they taking money out of your pocket, when your product is not even on sale? Still, Mil could make an exception at least for this guy! The video is down below.

Forjando un Idolo is just one of many tournaments that Paco Alonso and staff are using to try and bring back the audience that left. I think it’s fairly obvious that the desperation is sinking in.

Where is Nicho right now? Did La Legion take him out and leave La Hermandad 187 with just Lider?

Posted By: laparkinator (Guest

Indeed Nicho is currently injured. I really don’t know when or how he was injured, but it happened fairly recently since he was scheduled to team up with Silver King and Ultimo Gladiador to take on Los Oficiales for the IWRG titles on the 3rd of March. Nicho had to sit that one out and Joe Lider subbed in for him becoming one third of the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Champions.

DUDE!,thanks for informing me on CMLL on Galavision, because I like AAA,but I’ve been really interested in CMLL;which one would you say is better?

Posted By: Str8EdgeCoop (Guest)

That’s like asking if you prefer WWE or ROH, for lack of a better comparison. CMLL is usually more performance heavy and AAA focuses more on storylines and drama. A few years back AAA was unwatchable, it took Konnan to come in and key CMLL talent to jump ship for AAA to become, in my opinion the top lucha promotion currently. While CMLL keeps dropping the ball, mind you, CMLL has some great talent, they just need to focus! It seems like this is what they are starting to do, with championships getting a new found focus, and young talent getting a chance to shine. I prefer CMLL because I care more about match quality than story, but I can’t argue with the statement that AAA is currently better.

AAA is better than CMLL this year so far in every category. AAA been on fire while CMLL is just going through the motions. CMLL been going downhill even when Mistico was there. The booking sucks right now. CMLL need to bring back Marco from LLUSA, create more rivalries the fans actually respond too.
It sucks that AAA have to share time with CMLL on US Galavision again. Another bad move by Televisa.

Yes, I’ll go as far to say as AAA has been better for the past 2 years. CMLL indeed is just going through the motions and I’ll once again say that desperation apparently has finally sunk in for the Lutteroth’s. CMLL has had oppurtunities to create something interesting, the Mistico heel turn had everybody talking, but they killed that angle with no real explanation. I don’t know if Marco would make much of an impact anymore, when he first blew up in CMLL there is no argument that he was insanely over, but I don’t know if he can have that big of an impact anymore. For now I think it’s Mr. Niebla who’s starting to heat up and with the proper booking, can become the next big thing. Key word is with proper booking though, something that CMLL has been sorely lacking.

My Top 10 Lucha Feuds/Matches
The List so far:
10. L.A. ParK VS. El Dandy: Box Y Lucha 2004 Match of the Year
09. Blue Panther VS. Villano V, The Ola Lagunera and Villano Saga
08. Rey Mysterio Jr. VS. Psicosis, The World Tour
07. Villanos Vs Los Brazos, The Unmasking of a Dynasty
06. El Perro Aguayo’s Quest for Masks
05. Cien Caras VS. Rayo de Jalisco Jr. The 57th Anniversary show and the Birth of the Lucha Boom
04. El Santo VS Blue Demon: Two Generations and Still Going

THE feud when it comes to the world of Lucha-Libre. This feud and rivalry has spanned two generations, the Silver Screen and countless matches. If El Santo is the Hulk Hogan of Lucha, Blue Demon would be a combination of Ric Flair and Randy Savage. El Santo was always the most popular; Blue Demon was the better Luchadore. In their first ever singles match, Blue Demon pinned El Santo in two straight falls, winning the right to challenge el Santo for the NWA Welterweight Championship. They faced off and Blue Demon came out on top, becoming the new champion. They would team up, break up and feud, then team up again. According to some, Santo and Blue Demon even disliked each other outside of the ring as well. The rivalry stemmed into Cinema. Both made a tremendous amount of movies. Who made the better ones can be argued. Mil Mascaras has even said in an interview that the two would always be at each others throats when the movie cameras weren’t rolling.

The feud has even stretched out into the next generation. El Hijo del Santo and Blue Demon Jr. have faced each other countless times, and teamed up together as well. Before Mexico’s Bicentennial, Superluchas.net posted an April Fools type prank, reporting a false news story that El Hijo del Santo and Blue Demon Jr. had agreed to wrestle a Mask VS. Mask match, the news spread like wildfire. The joke was reported on Mexican news. Two Generations, titles, movies, masks and the feud still has no end in sight!

Why this ranked lower than some might expect? Well for one, the feud has gone one for far too long, titles have changed hands, there have been team-ups and breakups, but what everyone has always wanted to see is one unmask the other, I doubt we will ever see that happening! So like anything else in this world, people start to lose interest after a while. Sure the Juniors can face each other and still main event a card together, but the impact isn’t as huge as it once was. If this feud does eventually have a conclusion, it would be one of the biggest events in the world of Lucha.

Now a quick note, you would think that a feud this legendary would have a boatload of videos, no such luck!

Ke Monito Signing Off!
FR: So Ke Monito, what do you think of the whole Blue Demon Jr. situation?
Ke Monito: I don’t want to speculate too much, but those lucha rumors do get out there!
FR: Speaking of which, I’ve heard you previously were called Alushe and were always with Tinieblas, any truth to that?
Ke Monito: No comment.
FR: I figured!
