The 411 Wrestling Top 5 05.18.11: Week 127 – The Sexiest Ladies In Wrestling

May 18, 2011 | Posted by Larry Csonka

Hello everyone and welcome to 411 Wrestling’s Top 5 List. What we are going to is take a topic each week and all the writers here on 411 wrestling will have the ability to give us their Top 5 on said topic, plus up to three honorable mentions. Most of our topics will be based on recent events in the Wrestling World, looking at those events that make us think of times past.

So, on to this week’s topic…

THE SEXIEST LADIES IN WRESTLING

So what did our group of writers select? Let’s find out…

Michael Ornelas
HM: Lita – I always liked her character and her body, but her face is just okay to me.
HM: Sunny – Not my type, but I figured it’s blasphemous to not even mention her.
HM: Sable – Probably my first Diva-crush, so I figured she’s worth a mention, but all the other below this are hotter IMO.

5. Trish Stratus – She’s easily the hottest of the overrated girls, and also the most talented in the ring. That gives her some points. I just really am not a fan of her face. She looks a lot better now on Tough Enough than as a blonde. She is gorgeous when she’s not showing her big toothy smile, but when her mouth is open, it’s overwhelming.

4. Torrie Wilson – I thought she was just okay-looking, but definitely not bad. Then I saw her in person at WrestleMania 25’s Axxess events, and she was stunning in person. It surprised me, so yeah, she makes this list pretty easily.

3. Maryse – I’m not going to lie, her hair flip gets me every time. The Miz is so lucky…but yeah, outside of her heel persona, I like Maryse. Actually, I do even with the persona. She seems like a down-to-earth girl from all out of context things I’ve seen her in. And I’m a sucker for an accent.

2. Velvet Sky – Man, she looks pretty skanky, but seriously, she is gifted. In many ways. She doesn’t come across as classy, but I’m just treating this list like I’m picking the hottest wrestling chicks in order. And my list is just based on looks.

1. Layla – LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA LAYLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wes Kirk
HM: Candice Michelle – A brunette with every great feature imaginable.
HM: Ashley Massaro – I don’t care if she’s an “escort”, I’d pay 25k for one night with that!
HM: Winter – So pale and beautiful it hurts.

5. Lita – Lita hooked me when she was originally with Essa Rios, as the standout Diva who would pull off amazing maneuvers and high-risk offense unlike I’d ever seen a woman do. I mean, a woman doing a MOONSAULT? American wrestling fans weren’t used to seeing these techniques, and Lita brought it. A fiery redhead with a fit body, a penchant for thongs with low-riding pants, and a great boob job was the combination most guys would die for. Of course, finding out she dated Matt Hardy made her a lot less attractive. Even today she looks awesome and probably can still out-perform 99% of the Diva roster.

4. Sunny – I was one of those guys who cheered Sunny over Sable every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Sunny had a more natural look, and her incredible beauty and skimpy wardrobe made her a huge favorite with the WWF. Despite rarely if ever competing in the ring, Sunny was one of the most popular people in the WWF and was featured in the first WWF RAW swimsuit magazines. When Sable came along Sunny lost some steam due to Sable’s gigantic boob job, but Sable couldn’t match Sunny when it came to personality, mic skill, and that “girl next door” factor.

3. Daffney – I have to admit that I have a serious fetish for goth women. Daffney is the personification of the perfect goth girl with long, dark hair and an absolutely amazing body, who screams like a banshee and will not hesitate to get involved in very physical outings that other girls would flee from. Just something about a girl who looks good enough to handle Playboy’s cover yet falls through a thumbtack riddled table on a semi-regular basis. The perfect combination of beauty and brutality!

2. Trish Stratus – A long time ago, I was not a fan of Trish. Like most guys, I saw her as nothing but some blonde bimbo sucking up the women’s division while attempting to be a manager. But as time went on, Trish changed my opinion completely. She was able to wrestle, look incredibly sexy, and even work the microphone well and it all gelled into what many would consider the perfect woman. Trish defeated Playboy centerfolds time and time again to be the Babe of the Year and Diva of the Decade, took home seven women’s championships, and now has her own yoga studio and appears in various movies and TV shows. Trish is the most successful female wrestler EVER, and it doesn’t hurt that she is beyond beautiful to a realm of sexy not seen before. I just wish she stayed blonde!

1. Velvet Sky – I’d seen Velvet Sky before watching TNA, and was struck by how incredible she was. WWE was known for beautiful women but yet Velvet was on a level none of them seemed able to reach, and she had a personality too. A sweet-yet-sassy rock star chick who looks like the type you’d run into shopping for the latest Shinedown or Birthday Massacre CD, Velvet is absolutely perfect. Blonde hair, great rack, excellent legs, and DAT ASS have made her famous all over the Internet for replaced keyboards and heaps of fan fiction that would make Jenna Jameson offended. A girl-next-door with a wild side, she’s everybody’s dream girl. Damn you Chris Sabin!

Francisco Ramirez
HM: Maria – Loses points because she allegedly gave it up to Santino.
HM: Mrs. Elizabeth – The original diva is still among the best.
HM: Victoria – What can I say, Sforcina has good taste.
HM: Trinity – What the hell happened to this one?

5. Kimberly Page – The nickname the Booty Babe made perfect sense. She graced us all with a few Playboy pictorials and also an infamous scene in the film the 40 Year Old Virgen. On the PG 13 side of things she was also a sight to see every Monday as one of the Nitro Girls. It’s funny that Diamond Dallas Page would always be talking about putting the “bang” on guys when he had this fine piece of meat at home. On the wrestling side of things I’d give her a C -, but lucky for her this list consists of some sexist writers ogling woman, instead of mat technique.

4. Beulah McGillicutty – It’s funny how Beulah had an incredible run in ECW, put on one of the bloodiest matches ever with Bill Alfonso, mind you a match that allegedly saved Alfonso’s job, and is now seemingly forgotten! Francine might have been labeled the “Queen of Extreme” but McGillicutty might not have been too far behind. Her time with Raven and back-story of being ignored by Tommy Dreamer when she was overweight was compelling TV, nothing like a former Penthouse model aiming for revenge. Fans will also remember her for her infamous lesbian scene with what’s her name?

3. Kimona Wanaleya – Oh yeah, Kimona Wanaleya! Now this exotic South Korean beauty is famously known for her time in ECW and to a lesser extent WCW. Touching back a bit, she was part of the first lesbian wrestling angle according to many, when Beaulah and Kimona went at it like two horned up teens during prom night. Tommy Dreamer of course had to ruin the show when he famously stated the lines “I’ll take them both, I’m hardcore!” She was hot in WCW as part of the Varsity Club, and kind of scary in her Dominatrix role with the Jung Dragons. Kimona’s true claim to fame though was I believe in Hardcore Heaven 96, comments section correct me if I’m wrong, when the ring broke and they needed filler to pass the time. That effing genius Tommy Dreamer, allegedly, came up with the idea that she should strip, an epic wrestling legend was born.

2. Christy Hemme – When I first heard of the Diva search I thought it was one of the stupidest ideas, but hell, the end results weren’t so bad. Christy Hemme was easily the standout on this show, she had attitude, wasn’t bad on the mic, and also won a pie eating contest by having her butt eat the pie, I can’t make this stuff up! She was cut from the WWE, and the rumors went rampant about a fling with Triple H and/or with Batista, at the same time, allegedly. She did her time in TNA, and speaking of TNA, she also did her time with Playboy. The fiery redhead went on to do a Playboy spread like damn near all the Divas used to.

1. Layla – Speaking of the Diva search, we got ourselves Layla El thanks to it. I’ve been blessed with seeing this Diva live and I have to say TV does not do her justice. The British born Layla El has done everything from cheerleading for the Miami Heat, dancing for Kanye West, to becoming a WWE Divas Champion. The beautiful Layla is not only extremely gorgeous; she took to wrestling as fast as a Meat Loaf album title. Whether it was as a part of Lay-Cool, Extreme Expose, or her time with William Regal, curly hair or straight, Layla has always been extremely gorgeous and damn entertaining too! I think Ornelas summed it up perfectly in his section. Let’s see the Divas search gave us Layla, Hemme and Massaro, well two out of three ain’t bad!

Scott Rutherford
HM: Missy Hyate – Cause you have to give the devil her due…
HM: Trish Stratus – Proved you could be hot and talented.
HM: Gail Kim – I was going to put Kimona Wanalya here but when I remembered Gail, Kimona got the elbow.

5. Lita – When I first saw Amy Dumas, it was as the corner chick for Essa Rios and what helped set her apart, besides the shoulder tattoo and nice rack, was Essa would hit a high spot and Lita would follow it up with her own picture perfect version. Woman very rarely got involved in matches back then, let alone hitting moonsalts or frankensteiners. She was different from the norm and after she joined he Hardy Boys, it was a dream match-up that helped elevate everyone involved. While Lita has become more than a little notorious thanks to her dalliance with Edge, it shouldn’t take away from the hot chick that showed that woman could really mix it with the men.

4. Daffney – I dig them goth chicks, what can I say. If you ever saw my wife you wouldn’t be surprised. Anyway, I always thought Daffney was a breath of fresh air in the rapidly changed look of woman in wrestling during the early part of the century. The shift was going more to glamour when all of a sudden you had this pale-skinned, black-haired, tattooed hell cat to shake things up. While Daffney has found it tough to find her place in the wrestling world, she had has definitely left an impression lending her obviously, skewered beauty to a profession that frowns on being anything less than Barbie.

3. Cyndi Lauper – Bold choice. I just recently went and saw her play live and she not only was fantastic, she also looked fabulous for her age. Cyndi lent her incredible star power to what was largely a sport that was seen as a joke and gave wrestling a massive step into the main stream. The jury is still out on whether it actually hurt her more than it helped wrestling, but we should all thank her for putting her credibility on the line. She also appealed to the left of centre crowd with her quirky looks and punk attitude. A rare instance of a boyhood crush that still appeals today. I will take your hate…

2. Sunny – Make all the crack whore jokes you want, back when Sunny came into the WWF back in the mid 90’s she was whip-smart, full of attitude and brought much needed credibility to woman in wrestling. Oh, and she was fucking hot. Not just in a “fuck-she-is-good-looking” type hot. No, she was hot on an a different plain. Think legit centerfold hot…think one of the first big internet sensations. Think just plain old, poster on your wall hot. While life and her addictions conspired to work against her, Sunny hit a reset button on what woman could be in wrestling…and she was hot.

1. Elizabeth – An easy number one. Up until Liz came onto the scene, woman in wrestling during the 70’s and 80’s looked about what you would think a woman that is into wrestling would look like. Coming onto the national stage as Randy Savages manager, the real life Mrs. Poffo added an intangible element to the Randy Savage character as you could never figure out just why someone so beautiful would stay with someone that treated her so bad. And that’s the key, Elizabeth wasn’t just hot, she was stunningly beautiful in that classic Aubrey Hepburn way. Even today she’s an anomaly in the wrestling world as promotions today favour more athletic, glamorous and sporty looking types. Of course Liz’s life ended under sad circumstances a few years ago but even today, her beauty is still talked about.

Michael Weyer
HM: Trish Stratus: Just missing the list as being the best female wrestler of her generation meant not showing off as much of the body but still great in the overall package.
HM: Stacy Kiebler: Those legs…oh, those legs…

5. Candice Michelle: I always had a soft spot for her with that sensational body. Doing Playboy certainly helped and she had a nice style with the dancing and the robe opening. But she really improved as a wrestler when given the chance and thus her sex appeal had a new degree that made you want to watch her all the more. Another Diva you wish could make a comeback soon but at least we have some great memories.

4. Dawn Marie and Francine (tie): Couldn’t rank one above the other as they both showcased amazing appeal. They had similarities but each showcased a different edge that showed how ECW was taking things to a new level. They could get in dirty licks on wrestlers but were great just showing off those amazing bodies, made all the better when they got into catfights and showed how the ladies could mix it up as well as the guys.

3. Maria: You have to give her credit for working an act to its height. She made being a total bimbo believable, so funny acting like a moron but also able to showcase an amazing sex appeal. Her theme song fit her perfectly with her great legs but she could also work her entire body off as well. A great combo that’s missed in WWE too much.

2. Sunny: Tammy Sytch may have a bad rep today. But in 1996, Sunny was the hottest woman in wrestling. She could work a short skirt and bikini like few others, flaunting it and loving it and had a great bubbly personality to pull you in. But she was no airhead, pushed as a major manager, showing she had brains as well as a bod, a combination that made you always want to watch.

1. Lita: It’s partly because I’ve always been a sucker for redheads. But Lita really changed things up for how Divas could be. Before her, they were mostly eye candy and the typical “look hot in outfits” and all that. But she was a breakout with her firery hair, tattoo, thong sticking out all the time but most of all, her terrific athleticism as she went all out in the ring and took great bumps too. She looked great in bikinis and such but it was that sheer energy that won you over and made her stand out. She actually got even better when she and Edge hooked up, getting the great wicked energy that made her all the hotter.
