The Wrestling 5 & 1 1.21.12: Candice Michelle Versus Rosa Mendes!

January 21, 2012 | Posted by Greg De Marco

You with me? Great. Now let’s do this!!

You can’t write.
Posted By: puba516

I can’t write good.

And you can’t give constructive feedback that will help him improve in any way, assuming he does suck (I think you’re doing fine Greg). So what now?
Posted By: Alan (Guest)

Buggy will work with Perez Hilton! Mark it down folks…WWE will need extra divas for their segment.
Posted By: Guest#2592

I do wish you had been right! But I have a full report on what she did do later in this column…

Kaitlyn is a bit too muscular for my tastes, but I’m still voting Kaitlyn over Velvet because…well, how do I say this nicely? Velvet Sky looks like if you touched her, her skin would feel like a movie theater floor. Let’s go with that.
Posted By: Guest#2185

Brodus can be successful in WWE. Not because of the Funkasaurus bit, but because he is throwing himself into it. I think Creative comes up with more stuff for wrestlers who put effort into previous stuff that didn’t do so well.
Posted By: Guest#5645

You’re exactly right. Dolph Ziggler started off by introducing himself to people for months. The Miz was merely a reality star. But those guys ran with it. Look at Cody Rhodes and the mask. You take what you’re given and you go balls to the wall. You’ll find success. Brodus will find success.

Brodus Clay’s new gimmick sure is something… I mean, no one expected it & its pretty funny. But I don’t think its going to last or help Brodus in the long run.
And Thanks for keeping us up to date on The DeMarcettes.
Posted By: SilentOx

I believe in Brodus, and I believe in The DeMarcettes! That’s why I chose them. And they’re all finding their own successes, too.

Fan of the Horsemen since their inception, well except for that Paul Roma guy. Yeah I said it! Didn’t care for Mongo either or even Malenko but, still, ‘4’ is the symbol of excellence!
Posted By: chAd_b

I did like when Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit where included, actually. But the group that was chosen is the best.

As far as the Horsemen goes, it’ll be interesting to see whether Flair shows up for it or not. My guess (and this is just a guess) is that it might be more TNA’s decision than his.
Posted By: The Hodge

I honestly think Flair could care less what TNA thinks. If they fire him, Triple H will give him a job. And make him look like an elder statesman. Their only real recourse would be to keep him at home while under contract.

This Brodus Clay thing absolutely sucks because it’s nothing more than a gimmick straight out of 1989 WWF that has no legs beyond a cartoon gimmick.
Posted By: Guest#7762

It’s not a cartoon gimmick! How hard is this to understand, people? It’s a talented man who is going to take a fun gimmick and get way over with it. You know what has no real legs? The monster heel! Especially when you already have Kane and Mark Henry.

Also, not too excited about Edge for this year. It’s nice that they aren’t taking the chance that he’ll be crippled or worse in the future. But he only *JUST* retired. If they don’t pull the trigger on a Savage nod, I’ll be pretty disappointed.
Posted By: PK

They need to balance the HOF ceremony with inductees that appeal to all sorts of fans. The Four Horsemen appeal to older fans, and Edge appeals to current fans. Makes sense. When John Cena retires, he’s in at the very next ceremony. Same with Orton and Undertaker. Triple H is a different case as his run doesn’t end in the ring, but in the office.

Velvet. Whom would you REALLY rater bang? C’mon now…
Posted By: Guest#4232

Yeah, I do think my answer would be Velvet.

Kaitlyn. How many spots are there in the hall of bang? Isn’t Kaitlyn already ‘in’ by now?
Posted By: Mr. Ace Crusher

Kaitlyn is in fact in. But her spot (somewhere from #1 to #7) needed to be determined.

Brodus Clay can become the next Rikishi (a solid midcarder/attraction) if the bookers and writers don’t F things up. as the old generic “monster” heel, Clay would be going nowhere in a hurry. while i was shocked at his repackaging, i can see potential with the gimmick.
Posted By: i8mypants

I think he can eventually surpass what Rikishi accomplished. And he won’t need to do it for The Rock.

Greg, spot on about Brodus Clay! Certain fans are mad, because they “didn’t get what they wanted”. I refer to this as the “playlist” mentality. With smartphones and gadgets today, we get EXACTLY what we want and if that doesn’t happen, people throw a fit. It’s not just Brodus that gets hit with this, but anything.
Posted By: The Great Capt. Smooth

Man, I must admit that I absolutely LOVE the “playlist mentality” line. It makes perfect sense. It’s a condition that 98% of the IWC suffers from. This is a topic that we must explore more in the future.

But for now, you Captain are…

Velvet… Let’s make it a win Demarco!
Posted By: Titus

Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t up to me.

On the subject of the Horsemen, it seems to me that HHH must be taking the reigns in the back what with a feud with Nash, and now a Flair recongized induction, when he’s not even a part of the company. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE that the Horsemen are being inducted, but it seems like this would happen once Flair’s contract was up with TNA. Do you think it’s possible that Flair’s contract is about up and that he’ll sign back with WWE with a Legend’s contract?
Posted By: SteveyMac

I think Triple H is definitely gaining power on a weekly basis. And I think that will ultimately be a good thing. Let Vince concentrate on a network whose original programming I won’t watch (outside of the live and old wrestling), and let Trips concentrate on the current wrestling product. As far as Flair’s contract status with TNA, I am clueless. But I think Flair could care less. In his mind, he’s Ric Flair, and he’ll do what he wants. And I bet that if he bothered to ask Dixie, she’d let him go.

I’d be willing to check out this AAPW Wrestling show in Austin on 1/14 you say Barbie Hayben will be at. But, I can’t find anything about this show taking place tonight in Austin, TX.
Posted By: guest

Sorry, bro—didn’t catch this in time. But Barbi & Ken work there often, so I’ll try to get a link for next time.

She’s still not better than my fox, Rosa, but she’s close!
Posted By: Andis

With her current role and increased visibility, I think Rosa is ready for a Versus appearance. Like NOW.

The Four Horsemen in the HOF is long overdue. They set the standard for what a great faction should be. They had the benefit of having JCP really allowing them to live the gimmick. It’s funny, I know Evolution launched Orton and Batista into main event status, but Evolution wasn’t near the group the Horsemen were. The only complaint I have is that Ole really should go in as well. The original group was truly amazing and yes, Barry did improve it so it’s not a major thing but it is just something I’d like to point out.
Posted By: Guest#4621

Ole apparently has some enemies in the WWE front office. I don’t know any additional details from there. As far as Evolution, it pretty much created two main eventers—and if Batista hadn’t chosen to leave the WWE, he’d still be a main eventer just like Orton.

Velvet. I can’t believe she is ranked last.
Posted By: Roberto from Austin

Considering she was first at one point, it is in fact a surprise.

Also, on a side note, I heard a rumor that Clay initially came up with the Hall of Pain gimmick, but they gave it to Mark Henry instead. Any truth to that?
Posted By: steve

I have no idea. If Brodus does in fact become a huge success, we’ll hear more on a topic like that.

Maybe Rain and all the indie ladies should go back to school and get a real job. Women are useless in wrestling and haven’t drawn since they stopped doing those “Divas in Heat” videos.
Posted By: Guest#3369

You really are that stupid, huh? Go back and listen to the Rain interview. She has a degree, a professional certification, and a job.

This “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay may not win a WHC/WWE Title, but neither did Rikishi or Godfather, and for awhile, they were HUGELY popular. And since Clay is new, it’s not like he can’t drop that gimmick cold turkey in the future and heel it up. That would be an already built in storyline.
Posted By: SS87

I think the gimmick works perfectly in the current climate. It gets a great reaction, but we’ve already seen glimpses of him being a bad ass (like when Curt Hawkins slapped him and he smiled in response—then decimated Hawkins!.

As for Brodus Clay, I think he needs to talk louder and show off more! After a corner splash he can ask the fans “one more time?!” or after any power move. I like this guy. Creative better have something for him … And as for the Jericho Vids, shows how much I pay attention. I’ll take your word the name “Chris” was written down! Nice Article Mr. DeMarco.
Posted By: Markus M. Markison

Thanks for the compliment! As for Brodus and his interactions with the crowd, I assume it will only continue to grow. As for the “Chris” name on the notebook, I’m not sure which video it was in. But you can find it in YouTube.

The Funkasaurus has done exactly what needed to be done….get people talking about him. In a very forgetable ‘monster heel’ amongst a sea of them (Kane, Henry etc) then Clay fades into the background. Now, well there’s loads of comments on this one page alone about him, and that’s half the battle won already.
Posted By: Monkey

See, even a monkey can figure it out! (Sometimes you people make this too easy!)

Only thing sadder is De Marco dedicating half his column to womens wrestling when he knows deep down it’s a waste of time and has never been over with anyone outside of the IWC.
Posted By: James From Kentucky

“Never been over with anyone outside of the IWC.” Really? REALLY? Who in the hell do you think reads this site? Third graders?

Totally agreed on Brodus Clay. Especially with so many other monsters around, doing a generic “big bad monster” gimmick would have doomed Clay to obscurity and possibly a post-Wrestlemania release. If you want to know what would happen to Clay without the Funkasaurus gimmick, compare Ezekiel Jackson last year to Ezekiel Jackson now. … Besides, the guy is really great at it. He’s got the mannerisms down, the gyrations, the shout-outs to the crowd, everything. He looks like he’s genuinely having fun out there, and that is infectious. … But then again, I like Chikara, so what do I know?
Posted By: HeartBurnKid

You obviously know plenty, friend. You obviously know plenty.

Also, I’ve never really heard a good explanation for why the Freebirds aren’t in the hall. They were sooooo over in their day and drew a ton of money for every promotion they worked for. I guess just cause they weren’t really WWF guys at the time.
Posted By: Dr. Toboggan

I couldn’t agree more! Atlanta would have been the perfect place to induct them, too.

Erm, what response, you mean from the commentry team? Because I didn’t hear much from the audience. … At least Brodus was into the gimmick, maybe when it stops catching people by surprise it’ll catch on. Don’t forget he used to be Snoop Dogg’s bodyguard or something like that, so I’m sure they’ll mention that if they give him a bit of backstory or something.
Posted By: DaJ

I appreciate you answering your own question, DaJ! He got the reaction he got because people were completely taken by surprise. And they still got into it.

And from this past week’s Impact Wrestling Report

Leave it to DeMarco to do nothing but feature bells and whistles throughout the article. How about actually stick with the task and not plaster WWE pics all over a TNA report?
No wonder you get the article with nothing but diva pics…no wonder!
Posted By: Guest#3337

Like you could write columns for this site that people actually read…

This Thursday night, Impact Wrestling saw the return of Alex Shelley. Being spoiler free, I was able to speculate on the return and still be pleasantly surprised when he came out. Shelley had a separated shoulder last year, and missed 4 months. In his first night back in TNA, Motor City Machine Gun partner Chris Sabin suffered a torn ACL & MCL, putting him on the shelf for 12 months. Shelley had been content to sit at home and collect his downside minimum, but was brought back to feud with Austin Aries.

Austin Aries has emerged as the absolute class of the X-Division, and one of the Top 5 heels in all of TNA. Working basically the exact same gimmick he had during his final ROH run, Aries has been the key element to elevating the X-Division. But he’s lacked a real feud. His best feud to date has been with Brian Kendrick, who is likely at an Orlando Sports Bar hanging out with Mr. Anderson and Abyss, and he was never threatened by Kid Kash, Jesse Sorensen or Zema Ion.

This feud also provides TNA with some opportunities they haven’t had with the X-Division. They already started with an in-ring interview segment that garnered genuine heel heat. The next step? Impact Wrestling main event, baby!!! Seriously, who wouldn’t love to see Aries-Shelley main event Impact Wrestling in a ladder match, or an Ultimate-X match? That’s not a real question, if you identified yourself as one of those people, go read The Wrestling Sandwich!

Now what I would love would be for Mike Tenay to reference the face that it was Aries that overthrew Shelley as the leader of Generation Next in ROH. That’s not likely to happen, but they could at least acknowledge their past together in TNA. No? How about their really, really recent past?

Regardless, Austin Aries is one of the strongest heels in all of TNA, and easily the best act in the X-Division. It’s the perfect return feud for Alex Shelley. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Shelley take the title at some point during their feud. And I’m 100% okay with that given his past, and the fact that Aries regaining the title would just add to the heat that surrounds Austin Aries.

You Decide: What do you think of the return of Alex Shelley, and the potential of his feud with Austin Aries?

Pic credit goes to Rob Feinstein, sadly.

Saturday saw the final two shows in Philly’s world famous arena the arena, most commonly known as Viking Hall, the ECW Arena, The Arena, and finally the Asylum Arena. The final show, like so many before it, was met with mixed reactions and stuffed full of controversy. And in reality, should it have been any other way?

I received several e-mails and Facebook messages from readers asking me the same basic question:

“Why didn’t you preview the final wrestling shows at the ECW Arena?”

There are several reasons why one would dedicate some serious time to coverage of these shows…

CZW and Evolve are among the top independent promotions in the US today.

Fact is, I’m not the best person to discuss those cards. I don’t follow CZW or Evolve all that closely (Dragon Gate USA yes, but Evolve…not so much). Plenty of the involved talents do interest me (Johnny Gargano, Sami Callihan, the returning Low Ki, etc.), but neither promotion excites me at all.

More of the legacy of ECW dies when The Arena dies.

The legend of ECW has more to do with Paul Heyman and the talent than any structure. And that legend lives in memories, highlights, DVDs and the wrestlers today. Hell, from June 13, 2006 through February 16, 2010, the WWE did more to kill the legacy of ECW than this change of ownership for the famed building at Swanson & Ritner.

And my lone ECW experience wasn’t at the Arena. Despite growing up in not-too-far-away Richmond Virginia, I never made a trip to Philly to see ECW. It was, in fact, in Richmond. So my most vibrant memories of ECW have absolutely nothing to do with the ECW Arena.

The Arena is such a historic structure that it deserves more coverage on its own.

I was fortunate enough to attend one wrestling event at The Arena. Myself and Patrick O’Dowd made a stop thre as part of a two-day, three show weekend. The weekend started with ROH at Sports Plus on Long Island, followed by CZW’s Best of the Best 6 at The Arena, ending with ROH in Edison, NJ. Best of the Best was easily the worst of the three shows, and did very little for The Arena in my book. The event started one hour late, as the state-mandated doctor was late to arrive. Rumor has it that then CZW owner Jon Zandig no-showed his own event—and he was running it! The event ran long, causing fans AND wrestlers to rush up the New Jersey Turnpike to make it to the ROH show later that night. And the CZW show actually had two matches cut from the bill, as the semifinals of the tournament were eliminated and the finals were a one-fall four way match.

Despite the crappy show (which, thankfully, didn’t feature much of the “ultra-violence” CZW was touting at the time), the Arena itself impressed me even less. The floor was sticky, the bathrooms were scary, and the parking was horrendous. In fact, I had very little desire to ever go there again.

Face it, the place was a shithole. And that was in 2006!

So I respect the fact that this famous arena meant so much to so many people. Over the past few months, many wrestlers have expressed happiness to have worked there at least once. To those wrestlers, I have one message to you: you’re better than that. You’re better than to have your career be defined by a building you wrestled in—especially that one. Be remembered for your talent, not the company you worked for or the building you worked in. You wrestled a match in a roach infested building that won’t be remembered for bringing us CHIKARA, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko, It will be known for hardcore violence garbage that Paul Heyman himself has said it dead and gone.

So you didn’t preview the cards, but any thoughts now that they are over?
(Yes, I realize I am basically interviewing myself at this point.)

I can’t get past the apparent injuries suffered by Johnny Gargano during Evolve 10’s main event. The crowd shit all over his efforts, causing him to bust his ass and end up at the hospital that night. Sadly, he’s just the final list in a long line of names that either went to the hospital from that building or should have. And in the end it wasn’t the final match, as Sabu vs. Justin Credible ended up closing the arena.

Despite the two events held here, and the sad state of the ECW alumni, I do have to give Gabe Sapolsky credit for the final moment. After the ECW tribute match was over, Sami Callihan cut a promo that was interrupted by the final famous ECW arena blackout. And then the lights came back on, everything was gone. Nothing was left but an empty ring. The arena was allowed to be the final star in The Arena. Nicely done, Gabe.

Any thoughts about the promotions that routinely ran there?

I’ve been lucky enough to work for several independent promotions during my time. One, Impact Zone Wrestling (Arizona), ran at a sports bar titled “The Sets” for over five years. In all of its existence, over 80% of the IZW shows were held at that sports bar. Due to a purchase, the sports bar unexpectedly closed. A few months later, IZW was dead.

What does that have to do with The Arena? For many promotions, a venue can be a crutch. The Arena provided a ring, chairs, lights, and a famed spirit that pulled fans in despite the crap going on inside. All for a $2500 booking fee. Having booked facilities for wrestling in the past, I can say that a $2500 price tag for what is given is a good deal. Many promotions may not have survived without The Arena. And that’s not good for business. A promotion should be able to book facilities, book talent, and book effective and entertaining cards. Many promotions that ran The Arena couldn’t do that anywhere else. As fans, we should expect more.

So I can honestly that while it did in fact contribute to the world of wrestling as we know it today, I am glad that we are done with The Arena. If will forever be more known for hardcore garbage wrestling than the great talents that passed through its doors, more for its rowdy, annoying fans than the great events put on under its lights. You had a great run, Arena. But it’s come to an end. Time to move on.

Since the events have ended, Johnny Gargano posted an update on his condition. Check it out here:

Alright. Here goes.. I’ll give you guys a basic synopsis of everything that went down with my injury. On January 1st I wrestled a show in WV.. I sorta tweaked my back/pelvis in that match.. It hurt.. but I figured it’d be alright. It nagged at me for a bit, but I figured it was something I could work through. No big deal. On Saturday.. I don’t know.. something just felt weird. My whole body was cramping up. I drank a ton of water, and thought I was just dehydrated. My lower back/abdomen started to swell. Every time I’d stretch or bend forward, a sharp twinge would go down both my legs. Needless to say.. I was scared out of my mind. I KNEW how big the match was, and what I needed to do. I just wasn’t sure if my body would cooperate. I briefed Chuck Taylor on the situation and even had him bring out some water to the ring, just in case. It was probably the most nervous/dread I’d ever felt before a match. Not due to the situation.. but due to the uncertainty of my body.

I don’t remember much of the match, honestly. I remember that within the first 2 minutes, my legs stopped working. I couldn’t feel them. Just walking became a chore. I couldn’t raise my legs, or even bend down. The pain was indescribable.. but I knew I couldn’t stop. We went 25 more minutes.. and I took A LOT of stupid bumps. Was that a dumb decision? Maybe.. but it’s not in my DNA to just give up. The match had a lot of hype, and being put in that spot meant the world to me. My mind was willing, but my body just wasn’t capable, sadly.

As soon as the match ended, and the bit of adrenaline I had wore off.. All of my strength was gone. No more walking, no more moving.. just pain. They told me to stay in the ring and wait for medical attention and I remember saying “No! Get me out, there’s one more segment. The shows not over, get me out so they can do it”. They carried me to the back, and as soon as I went through the curtain, I collapsed.

A lot of thoughts were running through my head. Was I paralyzed? Am I going to wrestle again? I honestly didn’t know. I hate hospitals, and needles, but the pain was unbearable. The ambulance came and took me to the hospital (first time I’d ever been in an ambulance, by the way). They put an IV in me (another first).. and filled me up with pain meds, etc. This is where I start to get groggy. Gabe stopped by, but I was already unconscious. They gave me a CAT scan which turned out okay. I randomly started throwing up. Needless to say, not one of my better nights.

I had a flight to catch back home at 9 AM. We decided I should try bear through to make that flight. So I was released, and taken to the airport. A wheelchair met me out front, and wheeled me through security, and to my gate, and onto the plane. That flight.. SUCKED. I can’t tell you how much pain I was actually in during that flight. They then met me with another wheelchair, and wheeled me out front where my Dad picked me up and took me home. Where I’ve been in my bed for 2 days.. and looks to be the case for a while longer. I’m going to make an appointment with a specialist to try to get this sorted out, and see what it is. I’m still in a ton of pain, and walking is still very difficult.

I’d like to Thank EVERYONE for the kind texts, messages, and comments. I’m sorry I haven’t replied yet, but I will. EVERYONE in the back that night that stayed by my side, checked on me, and did all they could to help me out. I’m truly blessed to have so many people care about me.

I apologize to anyone that was let down by the match. I really wanted it to be special. Trust me.. no one is more disappointed then I am. I really tried to give you all I had.. unfortunately it wasn’t much that night. You deserved better. I’m really sorry.

And the Arena fans booed the guy! Nothing but classless idiots. Yes, I know that they weren’t privy to his condition when they were booing. But they knew he was working his ass off. Pure crap, Philly. Pure crap.

Late in the week, we got news that Low Ki legitimately knocked out Ahtu, a man who outweighs him by 120 pounds. I don’t know enough about working in the ring to know who was at fault. Was Low Ki reckless? Did Ahtu not properly take the move? No clue. But I can tell you that Low Ki stated in his post-match promo that he wanted “his business” back. Well, if that’s your business, then apparently you want MMA back. Have fun with that.

But that tells me something. People that work for Gabe try too hard. CZW is mostly a garbage fed full of mostly garbage wrestling—yet more people get hurt at the Evolve show. Johnny Gargano shouldn’t have wrestled. Gabe shouldn’t have let him. Low Ki shouldn’t have knocked Ahtu out. I’m done with the Arena, and everything that went down in its last night. Good bye to the Arena. I actually won’t miss it.

You Decide: What are your thoughts on the closing of The Arena as we know it?

The credit for this point goes to the great discussion I participated in at The Wrestling Roundtable Fecebook page. You can also find more info at WrestlingRoundtable.com.

One of the most beloved matches in wrestling history is War Games. Originally titled “War Games: The Match Beyond,” the match was created by Dusty Rhodes as a gimmick match build around The Four Horsemen. The match consisted of two teams with five members each battling inside of two rings surrounded by a steel cage on all four sides with a roof. There were doors at both ends, and it was rare for the teams to interact on the floor. Two men would start the match, and one member from each team would enter the match at staggered intervals. This always gave one team an advantage, where every other interval lead to a one-man advantage. This was typically dictated by a coin-toss, and the heels almost always had the advantage to put the heat on the early part of the match. This was the “War Games” part of the match.

Once all ten (later eight) men were in the ring, the doors were locked and “The Match Beyond” began. All ten men battles throughout both rings, and the match could only end via submission. Despite the heels almost always winning the coin toss, the faces almost always won the match! Sometimes paint by numbers booking is the way to go.

The first ever War Games match took place on July 4, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia at the old Omni Arena, early into the 1987 Great American Bash tour. The Four Horsemen were comprised of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Lex Luger and manager JJ Dillon. The opposition saw Dusty Rhodes team with Nikita Koloff, The Road Warriors and manager Paul Ellering. The face team won as Dillon verbally submitted while listed up for the Road Warriors’ Doomsday Device. He took the move anyway, and suffered serious arm & shoulder injuries in the process.

The second War Games match ended the 1987 Great American Bash tour at The Orange Bowl in Miami. Both sides remained the same, but JJ Dillon was too injured to compete and was replaced by the masked “War Machine,” which as Ray Traylor. Traylor at the time served as Bug bubba Rogers, and would later achieve fame as The Big Boss Man.

There were twenty eight War Games matches promoted by the NWA/WCW. I was lucky enough to attend one of them as part of the 1988 Great American Bash Tour at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. It was the tenth in the match’s history, and saw The Road Warriors, Sting, Lex Luger and Nikita Koloff defeat The Horsemen combination of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon. Outside of one Elimination Chamber, this is also the lone cage match I have ever seen live.

I feel like I got to witness one of the best concepts ever introduced in wrestling. But the question is constantly asked—could War Games work in today’s wrestling landscape?

You Decide: What are your past experiences with War Games?

This past week, our own Buggy Nova skipped out on an episode of The Greg DeMarco Show! WTF?!?!

Oh, that’s right, she was “busy.” Pfft! What in the hell could she have been doing, more important than The Greg DeMarco Show?

Buggy Nova, Sheamus, Lizzy Valentine

As you might remember, last week was a big one for The DeMarcettes. Barbi Hayden & Terra Calaway don’t even get a moment to themselves, as the phone keeps ringing with promotions that want to book them. Veda Scott became the new backstage interviewer for ROH, and Buggy Nova spent three days with the WWE!

Pictured above are Buggy, 5&1 favorite Lizzy Valentine and that Sheamus fella. That pic is from a commercial shoot that took place on Wednesday, which Buggy was a part of. At RAW in Anaheim and Smackdown in Las Vegas, Buggy got to work a match before the show against AJ Lee, and she had a professional photo shoot! The results? Unknown at this time. Obviously I want the best for our Buggy Nova, even if it means a move to Florida so she can train and wrestle at FCW—which would also result in a likely exit from The Greg DeMarco Show. But it’d be a worthwhile sacrifice for such a phenomenal performer and an equally great person!

If you‘ve been reading the Impact Wrestling Report (and why wouldn’t you?), you know that I am actually becoming a fan of the Garett Bischoff angle on Impact, and I think the kid just might make it. They showed a Garett training video that has been panned by many because it was slightly old school and cheesy. Imagine if it aired on RAW…it would get praise because it was old school and fun!
