Smackdown, Rico heads north, Foley out of WWF but Flair to replace him?

Smackdown or The Show That Is The Real WWF Centerpiece
Here's what happened on the Rock's show tonight. I didn't see it, but our
buddy Sean McCluskey did. He's from Boston, which is ok
with me. Even though I hate Massachusetts. And its drivers. And its dirty
state. Other than that, viva la Commonwealth!
*Rob Van Dam pinned Kane with Booker T's help
*Edge/Hardys beat Test/Dudleys. Matt apparently made a funny face after
kissing Lita. I hate when girls taste like cigarette smoke too, man. Give
her an IceBreakers!
*DDP continued his descent into wrestling hell with a squash loss to the Big
Show.
*Paul Heyman rips on Vince in a big "shoot" style promo. Hogan and Bret Hart
are both mentioned. Damn, I missed this. Tazz comes out when Heyman insults
him and his WWF status and chokes Paul E. out. Will this mean a big push for
Tazz? Maybe out the door...
*New Woman's Champ crowned at Survivor Series...Wendi Richter anyone?
*Jericho and Rock beat Kurt Angle and Austin by Dq...Austin is left standing
looking at a smirking Vince after a post-match brawl.
Kidman Learned To Use Spanish Fly From Eddy Guerrero
Diamond Dallas Page and Torrie Wilson were on the Howard Stern show plugging
the Survivor Series. Torrie revealed that Billy Kidman proposed to her last
Tuesday. She, unfortunately for all other men, said yes. Page was mistaken
for an intern and was asked to get Stern coffee. He said yes. For some more

Say It Ain't So!
Following Mick Foley's condemning promo on Monday, the WWF and Mick have
decided to part ways for the time being. Foley was reported to be offended
when he showed up for duty a few weeks back in Long Island (his home) and
told there was nothing for him to do. It's unfortunate that someone actually
telling the truth can get them kicked off t.v. Dave Meltzer gave us
this.
Carolina On His Mind?
Dave also reported that the WWF is in "serious negotiations" with Ric Flair
to appear next Monday on RAW from North Carolina. The problem - money. The
16-time World Champion is still recieving checks from Time-Warner/AOL for
doing nothing, which is tough to give up. The WWF, however, desperately
needs Flair to revitalize the tired WWF/WCW angle. Supposedly, a big angle
will begin Monday after SS.
Rico Suave!
Rico Costatino, Ohio Valley Wrestling prospect, wrestled his final match for
OVW in a loser-leaves-town match. That means Rico, a WWF prospect that has
been wrestling on the B house shows in tag matches with Randy Orton, is
heading up North. There is no indication of when he will debut. My OVW
hookup, Aaron Wilson, gave me this.
But, Plugs
Everytime I think of Flea, I envision the crazy bassist for the Red Hot
Chili Peppers. You should think of his newest column, A Day With The XWF regarding the XWF. If you haven't heard, the XWF is Hulk Hogan's
newest entry into the wrestling world. Will it work? Ask Flea.
Ron Gamble checks in with his latest The World According to Ron. The
illegitmate son of Celtic great Kevin Gamble, Ron talks about
Goldberg/Bischoff in the WWF and other random musings.
Steven Schwenke has a new Schadenfreude parody up, but more importantly, he wants YOUR input on a possible new column name.
