Last week, I attempted to "dream the impossible dream" by going to bat for the one and only Hunter Hearst Helmsley. ‘Net fans and Trips have a history with one another, so I figured reader feedback would be plentiful and varied in opinion. And – much to my enjoyment – the readers did not disappoint! Lots of feedback this week, so let's get right to it.
(again, a reminder: no reader feedback next week since I'll be out of town. But shoot meYourThinks on this week's column and next week's column for inclusion in the YourThinks section of the January 10 TNA column!)
Ladies first!
Hi John,
Thanks for the great column on Triple H. I'm glad to see him featured on In Defense Of, too. Trips is my favorite and I get so tired of the internet treating him like the antichrist of wrestling. I'm thankful that there are writers out there that appreciate him and recognize his dedication and not just throw him under the bus cause he's married to the bosses daughter. I hope that the Tribute to the Troops coverage also shows people that he is not the heartless bastard that everyone claims him to be.
Thanks again and I hope St. Mick (lol) puts lots of presents under your tree.

Thanks for writing, Paula. Always great to hear that valuable (and often overlooked) female perspective in this male-dominated pseudo sport (ladies, take note – you write in, you get the top of the YourThinks! It's that simple!). Also great to see that not EVERYONE has that irrational "hate-on" for The Game just because he's married into money. Great letter, Paula!
Military folks come next, as always
You know, I just might become a regular if you keep writing such awesome articles Meehan. I'll start out with a response to the Unofficial Glossary of Professional Wrestling:
Security Statute
It is a well-known fact that ANY kind of security guard is wholly ineffective. This includes arena security, personal security and hired goons.
Supplemental Security Information:
1) If told to separate two wrestlers, security will undoubtedly turn up two minutes after said wrestlers have already started brawling.
2) If guarding a dressing room, security personnel will assuredly be distracted or chased off. (aka- "Monty Python's Law"). A noteworthy exception to this rule, of course, is the Playboy Mansion guards.
3) Security personnel will NEVER notice if a wrestler dresses up in standard-issue security guard garb so as to infiltrate security personnel and pose as a member of their group.
4) It is a well known fact that since there is "no money" outside of "the big leagues," ALL local indy workers hold jobs as security guards by day (and on Monday and Tuesday nights).
5) It takes no less than FOUR security guards to successfully knock on Goldberg's door.
- Vonbrown
Like everything in this glossary so far, the definitions are top notch and enjoyable to read. The security statute was great, but I have to point out that the exception to this rule is none other than the late APA (Acoloyte Protection Agency). Who can forget the APA with their beer drinking, cigar smoking, poker playing, backstage antics. They lived off the money they made providing security to anyone who could afford them. In the beginning they delivered on their deals and business was good. After a while, all that beer drinking must have slowed their reaction times. How many titles changed hands after the defending champ (usually a heel) bought insurance from the APA only to lose? Sure, the APA would eventually make their way to the ring and give a serious beat-down to the new champ, but it became clear that the Security Statute came full circle.
It was a sad day when Farooq left the protection for hire business and we had to say "goodbye" to one of the most entertaining groups the WWE ever had.
For the record Meehan, "Sarge" is a title some Army soldiers use to describe their sergeant ranks from E-5 to E-7. In the Marine Corps, a Sergeant is a Sergeant, a Staff Sergeant is a Staff Sergeant, and a Gunny is a Gunny.
See you next time.
– Sgt Pervier, Chad M.
Good catch, sergeant, and thanks for the clarification on that one (my grandfather was a sergeant in the US Army for WWII, so old habits die hard, I suppose). Glad to have attentive readers and extra glad that I can send some good vibes the way of the U.S. armed forces! Stay safe, know that you all are in Mee prayers (and Our prayers, too), and keep those letters coming, troops!
Speaking of troops, here's one from our Afghanistan correspondent:
Well, Johnny boy, great column as usual. I especially liked the parts about me. Just kidding. Very well thought out and well written. Triple H has, in fact, been my favorite current wrestler since about 2000, and I hate all the bad press he gets. I find it incredibly ironic (and mentioned it to Coachman while we were talking) how when Triple H has the title, people come out in arms to take the title off him, but now that Cena is champion, people actually WANT Triple H to take the title.
-PFC Tristan Hathaway,
Bagram Air Force Base, Afghanistan
Glad you enjoyed it, Tristan, and thanks once again for those pics. Always glad to send some positivity the ‘web's way. If anybody caught the RAW special, by the way, you'll notice that Tristan's "Terrorism: That's Not Cool!" sign made the air (and the video montage), and since I helped to give him the idea for that one… it's official – MeeThinks has gone global!
Speaking of that RAW from Afghanistan…
Great Pics. My buddy was in Iraq last year when WWE went and he got to meet the Undertaker!! He said Taker looked scared shitless the whole time (Can you blame him?). I think its great the two big biggest jerks according to the IWC (HHH and Bradshaw) BOTH showed up!! See they aren't so bad after all. Cant wait for to see the segment that WWE production sets up for the trip the one last year put tears in my eyes!!!!!!!!
Fucking awesome for WWE to do this every year. Vince does really care about and appreciate his fans.
- Rick Funcannon
Thanks for writing, Rick! (love that last name, btw.) Awesome to hear readers and fans share their personal anecdotes about our favorite grapplers, too – as I think it really helps to humanize these guys and make them more accessible as "real people" – something that we're all sometimes guilty of forgetting.
While we're talking anecdotes, by the way…
It's nice to see somebody FINALLY stand up for Triple H. While not my favorite wrestler of all time, I personally have always found Trips very entertaining. As for what kind of person he is I would like to share a quick story. In 2002 I was working as a cashier at a Cracker Barrel in Chattanooga, TN. WWE had a house show this night and after the show the wrestlers started pouring into the store. Of course some fans followed and many in the store knew who these guys were. I saw the fans try to talk to these guys, get autographs or just try to shake their hands. MOST of them simply ignored the fans.
Lance Storm told an autograph seeker he couldn't remember how to spell his name and walked away. Christian signed all his autographs as EDGE, telling Chris Jericho everybody thinks he's Edge anyways. Raven and Hurricane would not speak to you unless you were a wrestler. All the above mentioned as well as a couple others were acting very childish, being loud and were total asses to the fans.
There were, however, two wrestlers who came into and left the store together, talked to EVERY fan, signed autographs for EVERYBODY and presented themselves as total gentlemen and nice guys. One was William Regal. The other was, you guessed it, Triple H. People can say what they will about him but for that night Triple H made a lot of people very happy after many other wrestlers disappointed them.
Oh yeah, an interesting side note. Triple H, Regal and Chris Nowinski were the only ones who left good tips as well (Raven and Hurricane left none at all).
JPM
Columbus, Ohio
AWESOME letter, dude – and thanks for sharing this story with the ‘web community. There's a joke in there about Hurricane simply not making enough money to afford leaving a tip, you know… but I'm just gonna' let that one slide.
Still, it's really nice to see that there's more to Triple H than the backstage politician rep that web fans hear so much about (and, in turn, help to aggrandize and perpetuate). Ryan S. chimes in with a letter very much in that same vein:
Meehan,
I thought that was a great take on Triple H. I've never been a big fan of his, and have always thought he was a boring heel that gave rambling, nonsensical promos, a Jeff Jarrett of the WWE if you will. But I've started to soften on oOe H lately, mainly because I think I realized that Triple H being in the Main Event scene is a GOOD thing. The bad thing is that there is no Rock or Austin there to feud with him. I fully believe that if The Rock came back on a full schedule and came into a full-blown feud with Triple H, it'd be huge. Hell, Stone Cold could make it huge. I think everyone has hated on H because there has never been a legitimate face to make a run at him.
Booker T. is great, and I like the Nature Boy… but ever since The Rock and Austin left, there has never been a dynamite main event face that makes you WANT to see Triple H come down and get ran down. Jericho was never properly utilized, nor was Christian. We could've seen another boom period had those two been given some actual face time. I think you can blame that on Vince and Co. more than Triple H.
Scott Keith and his smarmy cohorts have a lot to do with why there is such a terrible perception of Triple H. And after Monday when I seen Triple H in the infirmary with the troops, shaking hands, I changed my entire view of him right there. I no longer hold contempt for him like others might, because he seems to me to be a genuinely good person that IS a company man, even if he is banging Steph.
And his feud with Big Show is going to be good. So what if it isn't a workrate bonanza? H totally gooched Show on the 12/12 RAW, and they have a legit feud. I hope your column continues to bring down the hate on Triple H.
– Ryan
(Sorry for being so long-winded, I just had a lot to say about the subject at hand)
Thanks for the e-mail, Ryan – and if I've learned anything from the forums, its to NEVER apologize for speaking your mind, no matter how many words it takes to get it all off your chest. We'll get to the Rock/Austin/Foley points right after this next e-mail, which also brings them to light (but in a decidedly different manner).
See comments below:
"Tajiri really isn't on Triple H's level, ya know… and you've gotta admit that Trips' Karate Kid-style crane kick pose was pretty damn funny."
1) Okay, I will admit that Tajiri is not on Trips level, but how was he ever expected to make it there if he was made to look like a little bitch. And the karate kid pose was funny, but not as funny as nearly 8 years ago when the Rock did it to Steve Blackman. which brings me to another point, Blackman was nowhere near the Rocks level, but that didn't stop Rocky from making Blackman look legit.
"When looking at the squash-ees, RVD might warrant a mention, as well. But then again, with his spotty (read: at times, sloppy) ringwork and his *ahem* "less than exemplary" choice of off-screenrecreational lifestyle, there's probably a certain amount of liability that would come with giving RVD the company's top prize, and there's probably just as many who'd argue against having RVD as champ out there as there are fans, MeeThinks. I personally love the guy, but I can totally see why people might second-guess the decision to make him the champ."
2) Again I will agree to a point, but at this particular time RVD was more over than he has ever been in his career, sloppy match or not, the fans loved him, and he could put butts in the seats, and at the end of the day, that is what it is all about. So he smokes a little bit of the ganja, that has never stopped a record company for putting a potentially money making artist under contract. This one bugged me, but not as bad as him waiting 47 minutes to pin Booker T after a Pedigree. That was just plain stupid.
"The Steiner fanboys (both of you) will probably come out in full force and demand that we rewrite the history books so that The Game jobs cleanly to Big Poppa Pump… but then again, Scott Steiner was simply way past his peak and just in no shape to be competing for (let alone holding!) a World Title by the time he washed ashore in WWE a few years back. A similar case could be made for the mishandling of Bill Goldberg."
3) Okay, Steiner I agree with completely, he should have never been brought in. But Goldberg could have been something better in the E. Goldberg owned ass in the Elimination Chamber where everybody was sure he would win the title. What happened? Goldberg owned ass, triple H's time came, and one little sledge hammer shot and the game wins, and Goldberg looks like a tool. I will say I think he was misused in the WWE, and this is coming from a person who was never a real big fan of Goldberg.
"Not to sound selfish here, but *I* know which option I'd be most likely to choose. Heck, play through a season of Smackdown vs. RAW and then honestly try and tell me that you're willing to let your CAW lose the world title in the main event at Wrestlemania without the thought of slamming the "RESET" button dashing through your brain at least once."
4) For an example of it being okay to lose, as long as both people look good...I point you once again to the Rock, The Rock put over Billy freakin Gunn, and Al Frickin Snow of all people. Did the Rock ever lose popularity, or his standing with the company? No. Would Triple H lose popularity, and his standing with the company? Probably, which I think says something about how over he is in the first place.
"Nash's done it."
5) When did Kevin Nash ever use his power to remain a world champion for as long as he could? Other than his first run as champ in the WWF, I do not remember Nash ever having a world title for longer than a month or two.
"Time after time and feud after feud, he's given the rub to a multitude of superstars ranging from breakouts (Orton) to legends (Foley, Austin) to flashes in the pan (let's not forget that Triple H lost the World Title to Bill Goldberg and the IC strap to Jeff Hardy, folks)"
6) Wow, did you just say that Triple H gave the Rub to legends such as Foley and Austin, and to breakout stars such as Orton? Okay, look at Foley and Austin. Foley, Austin, and the Rock made triple H a star, not the other way around. They all sacrificed their own character's to make all three H's the star that he is. he did lose the title to Goldberg, but that was after making him look like a tool in the Elimination Chamber, and he may have lost the IC title to Jeff Hardy, but did he not have to completely destroy Hardy the following Monday? Don't even get me started on Orton, as he is just now starting to recover from the "rub" that Triple H gave him.
"I do. (Well, I was there live, so I should ;-). Remember who tapped cleanly and made Chris Beniot a World Champion?
Ding! Triple H."
7) When he was backed into a corner, and it was the absolute only logical thing that could have happened.
"How about WrestleMania 21? Who put Dave Batista on the map?
Ding ding! Triple H."
8) Dave Batista put himself on the map, by the time he got to Trips the fans already loved him. he could have went to Smackdown, taken JBL's title and been exactly where he is now, on Smackdown as the Champ. Which is where Triple H sent him to keep the big man out of his spotlight. Batista was not the break out star of Evolution, Batista was what the fans slowly got behind.
"Look at RAW in Afghanistan – HBK is the babyface headed into a six-man main event with nothing to lose, while Hunter is a heel desperately trying to get some heat back on his way into a MIDCARD feud with Big Show. By all rights, Triple H could really use a win here. But what happens? Hunter jobs cleanly and sends the troops home happy."
9) All Storylines are null and void on these tribute shows, so the loss doesn't count as far as that goes. Hunter jobbed cleanly? Sure he did, after he had the visual 47 count with the ref out.
10) Finally, let me say that I do not hate Triple H because it is the cool thing to do. I hate Triple H because he bores me, and always has. I didn't like Hunter Hearst Helmsley, I did not like him in DX, the Corporation, or as world champ. They always say that Ric Flair can wrestle a broomstick to a four star match. I believe Triple H is that broomstick. Flair had the ability to take a lesser talent and make them look like a world beater. Triple H has the ability to be in a 4 star match with a top caliber performer. Can you name one time where he had a good match with the likes of a Scott Steiner, or a Bill Goldberg, or better yet an Undertaker or Kane. The latter two, who are known to be able to have a good match with a good opponent. So let me clarify that my hatred for Triple H has intensified since his return after quad surgery, but it did not originate there. I have never found the man very entertaining, at all.
I'm not knocking you at all, I love reading your column, and I usually enjoy it. But you touched a nerve with me there. My apologies if I come off as a dick.
– Todd
No worries, Todd. Always happy to encourage respectful dialogue and good-natured disagreement. You'll note that I've added in numbered points to help reply to your e-mail. See the corresponding numbered responses below.
1) You might be right on the Tajiri case, but remember – Trips has made PLENTY of performers "not on his level" look legit. Val Venis (2005), Shelton Benjamin (2004), Jeff Hardy (2001), and heck – even TAKA!
2) Love him or hate him, RVD's personal lifestyle choices definitely make him a liability to stand as THE public face of a multi-billion dollar company like WWE. Not that he's gonna keel over from too much weed any day soon, but the fact still remains that it's a BIG risk for Vince to put an admitted recreational drug user at the forefront of his company's media blitz. That's why Cena works so well – clean cut, all-American, crossover appeal. Rock was very similar. Austin was a risk, and when times got bad for him on a personal level (e.g. – the divorce, the arrest, etc.) it definitely didn't help the WWE's public image any to see one of its major stars being exposed as a wife-beater and a drunk. I agree with you on the foolishness of the Booker T feud, as I said last week, but I think you're obviously exaggerating on the length of their WrestleMania match (though it was VERY poorly conceived, I'll grant you).
3) Gonna refrain on commenting on Goldberg here – more detailed response in the XXX letter below.
4) See point one.
5) "When did Kevin Nash ever use his power to remain a world champion for as long as he could?" Um… you're kidding, right? How about "MOST OF THE LATTER-HALF of the nWo ‘s run in WCW." Yeah, his runs were short(er)… but they were frequent, and gratuitous.
6) No, I'm not insinuating that Trips gave the rub to Austin or Foley, but he most DEFINITELY provided the fans with a heel that everybody wanted to see get his ass kicked in each of those feuds. And as far as Rocky goes, think back to the N.O.D./dX feud – I'd argue that the two of those guys helped to build EACHOTHER, not just one-building-the-other. And Orton's fall from grace was the fault of a premature decision to turn him face on the part of WWE's creative team, NOT the fault of Triple H himself.
7) Negative. Trips could have taken the "easy way out" and had Benoit score the victory over Michaels, that way he could have saved face (and had a built-in claim for a return match the very next night) in the process. Instead, he tapped in the center of the ring at WrestleMania – and triple-threat or not, that's the very epitome of losing cleanly.
8) Dave Batista owes a LOT of thanks to Triple H, period. Listen to Dave's "shoot" interviews – he knows who to thank for helping to get him over. I thoroughly disagree that Dave could have been "just as well off" had he bounced to Smackdown in March and beaten up JBL for the WWE Title. Fans were simply DYING to see him get his hands on his mentor, Triple H – and they were clamoring to see the guy get his "just desserts" from the Animal he'd neglected (and inadvertently helped to create) for so long.
9) The storylines being on hold for the Afghanistan show is a fair point, but Hunter could have just as easily WON cleanly (and had the post-production announcers hype how he needed the momentum) only to suffer a Big Time, Big Show beatdown post match to send the fans home happy. Troops LOVES ‘dem the Big Show, and nothing makes fans happier than seeing a heel who THOUGHT he got away with a win getting his comeuppance in the end. There was a million was to "send em home happy," and while Trips jobbing in the main event was ONE of those ways – it most definitely was not the ONLY way to accomplish that.
10) "A good Trips match against Taker or Kane," eh? Taker/Trips, WrestleMania XVII (2001). Everybody thought Hunter would be the one to break Taker's WrestleMania streak, and EVERYBODY was proven wrong. Brilliant use of the sledgehammer/powerbomb finish that they'd later use in the Batista HiaC match in 2005, too. Oh yeah – Hunter jobbed in both of those contests, by the way.
Whew, that was a long one! Can we get a quick e-mail here to break this thing up?
"After a brief and not particularly noteworthy stint under the name of "Terra Ryzing" in Turner's WCW "
He was also known as "Jean Paul LeVesque" ..William (Lord Steven) Regal's tag team partner in WCW.
– Ronevsorg
Thanks for the addendum, dude.
Ron M. seems torn about HisThinks on Triple H
"play through a season of Smackdown vs. RAW and then honestly try and tell me that you're willing to let your CAW lose the world title in the main event at Wrestlemania without the thought of slamming the "RESET" button dashing through your brain at least once.
Then (extending that analogy) – after you've already won the belt and you're forced to defend it PPV after PPV and RAW after RAW, honestly try and tell me that you're totally cool with taking the loss on the chin and dropping the strap even if your opponent happens to be somebody like, say, Tajiri or Jeff Hardy"
It's funny because sometimes when I explain to my fiancé why I dislike HHH, she has asked the same thing: Wouldn't you do that too? My honest answer is no. The Smackdown vs Raw game is a perfect analogy because I have actually gone through an entire season and then dropped the title (on purpose) in dramatic fashion at Wrestlemania. But it must be noted that I dropped it to someone I considered worthy....wait, come to think of it HHH has done that before himself... twice...
Maybe I really do understand where he's coming from...?
Must contemplate this.
-RM
My point exactly, Ron. Trips is in a position that is as enviable as it is difficult. Being the "kid in the candy store" with unlimited access to daddy's wallet pretty much leaves you in a tight spot. Do you a) buy out the store, or b) just have a taste… despite the fact that you're totally justified in taking more if you'd like it.
I think the video game analogy is a solid one. Anybody who's ever "played the game" (pun intended) knows full well that even if the matches along the way seem like "throwaway wins" in a fantasy warfare type game, it never feels good to drop a loss to somebody who's obviously not on your level.
And heck, I might even argue that Trips has dropped the title a few MORE times to somebody he considered worthy than twice, ya know. A ten-time champion means a ten-time loser too, ya know. But you're right in pegging that figure at "2" in terms of recent memory – as the Beniot and Batista losses really do stand out.
More e-mails, you say? Why not!
Whether it's fair or unfair, HHH will always have an unfortunate stigma around him regardless of what he does. In the past few months I believe that once he discovered the internet (still too funny, anyone ever bother to tell him that's where they find pictures of his wife) he realized what every wrestler eventually cares about: how will people remember me? As a result we are seeing him lose cleanly to Shawn Michaels (a man who knows a thing or two about backstage stroke) and mid card feuds with the Big Show.
Keep this in mind, however, that part of the reason he's not in the Elimination Chamber & fighting the BS instead is to avoid all contact with Cena until WrestleMania. Now the bigger question remains, how does he re-enter the title picture? More importantly, how does he enter it without making Cena look like a chump? I'll leave that to the Fink's Payload armchair bookers. HHH is now on Mount Perpetually Over, which means he doesn't need to title to be deemed important (sounds like a current TNA champ who shall remain nameless). The smart money may be to have him avoid fighting Flair and have their payoff at WrestleMania, while having Cena fight HBK (which would be a money feud as well). HHH could cost Flair to lose the IC belt to some up and comer (perhaps Masters or Benjamin when he turns heel) and then they can continue until the final matchup.
Either way, HHH has worked hard to overcome what the IWC might think of him, and your article does a great job expressing that sentiment. He has always been a company man long before he met Stephanie and he has also cemented himself as a hall of famer. HHH kept the company going strong when Stone Cold & the Rock left, all while establishing new contenders. Now if he really wants to be viewed differently, have him go to Smackdown!
– John Reid
Good points, John. You're right about Hunter putting off any Cena conflict until the time is right, and I too am looking forward to seeing those two go at it. I have a sneaking suspicion that it won't be Trips/Cena at Mania, though. I'm actually more inclined to think (maybe I'm off base, but) it'll wind up being Trips vs. Flair (part III) – only this time with one of their careers on the line.
Somebody else is wondering what Hunter's involvement with this year's ‘Mania is going to be, too:
Hey Rocky,
Nicely said regarding HHH. He has been a real team player since about 2004. I personally feel his promos (when not making penis jokes) are boring but other than that I think he has been great.
I still have a little trouble getting over 2002-2003 when he seemingly squashed everyone in sight but recently he has been really good.
I just really don't want to see him in the title match at WM. I would like to see him and Flair finish their feud there.
Keep up the good work man. You have a nice column.
– Justin
Agreed all around, Justin. See you in the Forums, and thanks for your letter, bro!
More good things from first-time contributor "The Jza"
Hey dude,
Awesome column man, that guy takes WAY more flack than he should. Even though I was sick to death of him by mid 2003, looking back on the scott steiner matches particularly in retrospect, they blow and then some, but through no fault of Triple H not doing anything to put Steiner over. The way they played the story out at the time was that HHH was SHIT scared of Steiner, and he continued this theme on into the match. I personally blame steiner for his repertoire of about 4 different moves over 20+ minutes, but Hunter if you watch sells each suplex, each clubbing blow like it was fucking cancer. There must have been a point in the match where Trips thought to himself "damn, this is shite!" but he keeps on going and keeps on selling regardless because he's a pro of the highest degree. Simply put, the ONLY reason Steiner didn't get over quite frankly, is because he was fucking shit. the only time that he held ANY stock in WWE in my eyes is before he wrestled, and Triple H treated him like he was death in all the vigenettes et al leading up to their first match. (although the posedown was a BIT much)
On the subject of Goldberg, the fued with HHH in the latter part of 2003 was awesome in my opinion. I was lucky enough to be there live when Goldberg demolished evolution at the 2003 Survivor Series, if there's one thing he can't be accused of is putting goldberg over. He sold like a champ in the matches, letting Goldie squash him like a bug, and even in the storyline of paying someone to take Goldie, HHH feared Goldberg. Another thing, why does everyone shit on the armageddon 3 way with HHH Goldie and Kane?! I saw it not too long ago, and in my opinion it beats out the mania 20 3 way for pure old school 2000ish action :)
I just got through HBK's book by the way, and I found it kind of interesting he said that HHH was the first to come up with the idea of screwing Bret at Montreal and bring it to Vince Macmahon. There's no doubt of the ruthless streak he has, but in the past 3 or so years in my opinion, he's done nothing but business. (Barring Katie Vick, but even then he sold for Kane like a mofo, and for that matter is one of few on the roster who ALWAYS sells what a monster Kane is where others occasionally forget *cough*vandam*cough*)
Keep up the good work dude, and stay positive!
– The JZA
Couldn't agree with you more on the Steiner points, JZA. Steiner was in very, very bad shape for his feud against Triple H, but he was stuck playing the face and the fans resented him for it. Still, Trips sold his tail off to try and make the guy look like a contender… but it just wasn't happening, ya know?
And you're right about Goldie, too – TOTALLY mishandled from the word "go" in his stint with WWE (promos hyping his arrival!? No shock value?! Come ON!).
So now HBK blames Triple H for screwing Bret, eh? Man, you could write an entire book on how many versions of the Montreal story Michaels has spun in the past 10 years, no? An interesting conspiracy theory, though… but MeeThinks you'd be better served not to believe everything you read when it comes to Shawn and the Montreal story.
I think we've had enough letters and fun for one week. That was 23 pages (single-spaced), y'all!
And With That, I'm Outta' Here
That'll do it for Mee this week. Thanks again for reading, and check back next Tuesday afternoon for Part II of MeeThinks' "2005 in Review."
'Cuz next time, we're layin' the Smackdown!
Thanks again for reading, happy New Year, and always stay positive…
