The Quick Talkdown 2.10.07: Wrestling On The Mind

After a week break, here are some random thoughts from the master of the Quick Talkdown!
Wrestling On The Mind
By Phill Feltham
Sorry for the lack of column last week faithful Talkdown readers. I've recently started a new job and started looking for an apartment in the area. Let's get to it.
PROPAGANDA CIRCULATION
Wrestling sites seem to believe that Vince McMahon has become a hot head these days. 411 Mania recently reported that Vince was so angry at Hogan that he will not be at WrestleMania 23. Rajah.com reported that Vince is thinking of "sticking a bullet" in ECW. Whether or not either of these rumors or "facts" are indeed true, it's not good business either way.
However, keep in mind, Vince might want to through the wrestling media off the fact that Hulk Hogan might even indeed be at WrestleMania 23 so he sends out "rumors" that contradict the expected. If Hogan doesn't show, at least it was good to bask in the conspiracy theories.
WRESTLEMANIA 23 "ALL GROWN UP"
Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. These two superstars have "grown-up" careers and get another shot at the big time. The Undertaker I can see continuing his winning streak, but Shawn Michaels might fall short of beating John Cena.
The Nostalgia Factor: The Undertaker won the WWE title ten years ago at WrestleMania 13 against Psycho Sid... Shawn Michaels lost the WWE World title at WrestleMania 14 to the "growing star" Stone Cold Steve Austin.
ECW ORIGINALS NO MORE
Not one ECW Original won their respective match this past week on ECW on Sci-Fi. What's worse is recently, WWE official Jim Ross posted on his blog that ECW is getting ready to unveal its new look... again. Maybe Vince is right... a bullet might be in ECW's future.
CANDICE MICHELLE
Ashley Massaro is set to do April's Playboy, but don't forget to read
Muscle Mag International's December 2006. That's if you can find the magazine
somewhere. It's got a great pictorial of Candice Michelle.
TNA DROPPING THE BALL?
TNA has the opportunity to best the WWE on a Monday night, and the best they
can give us are previously seen matches? Most of the WWE crowd might
not be familiar with TNA's product, but that doesn't mean that they can't win
some hearts with some fresh material. Kudos to TNA for setting a new record rating for TNA Impact.
