Chris Benoit news, some other WWE and TNA news, plus some stuff from the April edition of the WWE magazine.
Hey guys. This is Sat filling in for Nick. Before I get started, I would like to say that if you have any feedback send it to satuncletrunx@gmail.com. I will include it in next week's High Road/Low Road

THE CHRIS BENOIT NEWS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I think that Jim Rome did a great job in covering this story objectively for the past two days. He spent most of Wednesday discussing the issue and then having Chyna appear live in studio on Thursday. He is one of the best sports radio personalities out there and he proved it with his coverage of this story. Another sports radio personality, Colin Cowherd, pretty much blamed it on roid rage. One of things that wasn't mentioned above was that Chyna said that she never took steroids.

A CHRIS BENOIT QUESTION
-----------------------------------------------------------------
One question has been coming up repeatedly and I wanted to give my opinion and then ask for yours. The question is did this tragedy hurt Chris Benoit's wrestling legacy? I think that it has hurt his legacy because I have not been able to watch the RAW tribute show about him and the fact that I don't really have any desire to watch any of his matches. I think it was in Ron Gamble's article where he mentioned that OJ Simpson is remembered for the murder more than his football career. I think when this is all said and done, Chris Benoit will be remembered for the murder of his wife and his seven year old son instead of his wrestling career. What do you think?

THE OTHER NEWS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the higher ratings that ECW has gotten. This was probably due to the Chris Benoit story.
Here are results from the first ever Florida Championship Wrestling event in Tampa, FL last night. FCW is now a WWE developmental territory.
Johnny Curtis d. Robert Anthony
Don Rodman & Tyson d. Mike Knox & Derrick Neikirk
Nattie Neidhart d. Shantelle and Krissy Vaine
Keith Walker & Ryklon Stephens d. Eric Perez and Kofi Kingston
G-Rilla d. Shawn Osbourne
Harry Smith & TJ Wilson d. Afa Jr and Sonny Siaki
Rene Dupree d. Steve Madison
Harry Smith won a 21 person battle royal to win the Florida Championship Wrestling Southern Heavyweight Championship
The first thing that I noticed when I read this is that there are a ton of Harts in FCW. Anyways, there is some talent here and it will help the WWE in the future.
All of the following news stories are from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Paul London and Brian Kendrick were moved to SmackDown as punishment for Paul London. Some of the reasons for his punishment is that he talks to a lot of the fans and he doesn't know what he should tell the fans and what he shouldn't tell. Also, he was caught smiling during the McMahon explosion. The team will be used on RAW to put over Cade & Murdoch and Cryme Tyme. Cryme Tyme is expected to get a renewed push.
The only surprising thing in this is that London and Kendrick are going to be used to put over other teams.
Viscera was moved to ECW to get a new gimmick. The gimmick is going to be similar to One Man Gang
I don't think that this is going to work. Viscera has been the world's largest love machine for too long. If they had wanted Viscera to be similar to One Man Gang, then they should have brought him in that way. I still don't buy into the new Snitsky because I keep remembering his foot fetish.
The Major Brothers were moved from ECW to SmackDown because Vince McMahon has again changed his mind on the ECW tag team titles
I haven't been impressed with the Major Brothers so far. That could be because they had like one tag match since joining the WWE.
The meeting that Jesse Ventura had with Vince McMahon was either concerning a DVD or the role of General Manager
I'd be surprised if Jesse Ventura becomes the GM. This meeting was most likely about a Jesse Ventura DVD.
Dusty Rhodes and the Iron Sheik could both get on-air roles
I would love to see Dusty Rhodes get an on air role, but I don't see it happening. The Iron Sheik appeared on RAW two weeks ago because he wants a talk show. I am definitely interested in seeing this talk show because we all know how crazy the Iron Sheik is.
Dan Rodman is going to be getting a big push soon. He worked a house show main event against John Cena.
I haven't seen the guy and I have no interest in watching Heat to find out how good he is. From what I've read, he isn't that good.
The TNA World Title was reportedly left in Orlando and was brought to Nashville twenty minutes before the main event
This is an interesting story. How do you manage to leave something that important behind? Reportedly, Jeremy Borash called a friend and had him fly it up to Nashville.
Senshi is expected to join Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper to reform Triple X
I wasn't watching TNA during the Triple X, so I have no idea how good they were. Still, I think it is a good idea to bring this team back because the newer fans can be able to see them.

OTHER STUFF
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I was reading the April 2007 issue of the WWE magazine and below I have included some of the most interesting tidbits.
Daivari traveled with the Great Khali, Mark Henry and Little Bastard
Daivari also tells a story about the Great Khali. Here it is. Khali once overheard someone talking on the phone with a girlfriend and this guy says, "I love you, Poopie, goodbye." And Khali says to me, "What is Poppie?" So I explained to him that it's kind of like a term of affection, but it can also mean s**t. A couple of days later, I see he's on the phone with someone and he's like, "OK, I love you. Goodbye, s**t!"
The incident between Rene Dupree and Bob Holly was explained. Apparently, Rene Dupree had borrowed Bob Holly's rented car. Dupree had then gotten a ticket and thrown it away. Because the car was registered under Holly's name, there was an arrest warrant out for him and his license was suspended. Holly had to go to court and it cost him $800. Dupree never said anything to Holly, so Holly beat him up. Eventually, Dupree paid him. Holly also got fined $10,000 dollars.
