Hidden Highlights 09.03.07: Issue #105

Hidden Highlights
By JP Prag

Issue #105

Hello everyone who missed getting on a standby flight because some jerks decided they could wait until 20 seconds before the doors closed to tease me a ton, and welcome back to Hidden Highlights!!

Hidden Highlights by JP Prag

Hidden Highlights, they are about the little things that make the product great. They are about showing the positive motions all those involved in wrestling do to make a better show. William Regal may bend his opponent's hand backwards just a little bit harder to dish out the pain. Christian Cage may reference a piece of obscure history. Tazz may bring realism to the product by describing an abdominal stretch in detail. The camera operator may take a low shot looking up at the Great Khali to make him look like a true monster. These are all examples of what Hidden Highlights is about.

Every week this article spotlights Hidden Highlights from the biggest shows on television (RAW, ECW of SciFi, iMPACT, SmackDown!, and a PPV or television special if there is one), delves into the past to find the ones never recorded before, and goes beyond to small shows, live events, tapes, and the indy scene to see what no one else sees. This article may have an author, but it is just as much written by the readers and true fans of professional wrestling—those who love what they watch and want to tell the world what they have found.

I am JP Prag, and I bring you Hidden Highlights with one goal in mind: to appreciate all those little things that make a huge difference.

JP: Though I may not have been able to get on that flight, I'm in love with SlingBox again after that little tussle we had a few weeks back. In reality, the trouble was with my Netgear Cat-5 plug jumpers. One of them became overloaded and had stopped transmitting data. It took me a bit to figure out where the issue was, but once I unplugged it and plugged it back in, everything began working like a charm.

See, I should have kept to the positivity, much like this week's guest co-host: Sat! Though his profile may look scarce, that is because Sat is really co-author of High Road / Low Road. where he represents Team Positivity versus Uncle Trunx. Sat is no stranger to Hidden Highlights as he competed in The Great Positivity Debate III tournament, being eliminated by eventual winner Stephen Randle in the first round. This time, no one is holding him back or bringing in the entire country of Canada, so Sat, what's happening?

Sat: Nothing's happening JP. It's been a crazy week and I happy that it is a four day weekend (I don't go to school on Tuesday). Let's get on with the show.

JP: No, no, Sat, the catch phrase is: Let's get on with the Hidden Highlights!

Hidden Highlights for SummerSlam
Sunday, August 26, 2007 by the Readers via JP

JP: SummerSlam seemed to under-whelm the reviewers and posters who watched it (even JT was pretty harsh on the card in Fact or Fiction), but it appears there were a few good things. What do you all got?

(3) Dial it up:

Our number three goes to Paul Kamo:

When Rey Mysterio came to the ring, three fans held up numbers that made up "619", however, the fan holding the "6" held it upside down and it read "919".

Sometimes, when fans hold signs the wrong way or spell things wrong (see: Rick Flair) I get a good chuckle.

(2) Keeping busy:

Next up is… oh, it's Paul Kamo:

There was a man in the front row with a new sign for each match.

And was one of them this sign?

My Sign is a Hidden Highlight

Otherwise, I'm not sure how much I want to read them all.

(1) Where are you?:

I had actually reserved this spot for JT so he could write in something from the show. Instead, I got this back:

I was too busy yelling back and forth with Csonka about the crap I was watching and trying to consume as much beer as possible to ease the pain of having spent $40 bucks on that show! :)

In my defense though, I did briefly consider last week doing the full 3 HH's and pictures and submitting them to you for the SS section, but decided against it a couple of days before. So the thought was there!

And the Hidden Highlight is: JT gets drunk and decides to call LARRY! What an interesting person to drunk dial…

Sat: I didn't order SummerSlam because I wasn't impressed with the card and it looks like I made a great decision.

Hidden Highlights for WWE RAW
Monday, August 27, 2007 by Sat

Sat: So, originally JP was supposed to cover RAW, but I asked him for RAW because of my hectic schedule this week. I haven't seen RAW in weeks, so this is my first RAW in quite some time.

(3) John Cena's Entrance Video:

When John Cena was coming out for his match against King Booker, I noticed that when the music says the franchise it seemed like the entrance video was showing a sign that contained the words "franchise". So, I went to WWE.com and watched the entrance video and when the word "franchise" came up, the video would show a sign that said "Cena = franchise". Now, I really pay no attention to the entrance videos, so it seemed surprising to me that the WWE production would pay that much attention to detail on something that most fans probably don't any attention to.

(2) John Cena's Father Sitting at the Same Seat:

During the opening segment of RAW, we see John Cena go over to his father. The first thing that came to mind for me was that John Cena's father was sitting at the particularly the same seat as he did during Unforgiven 2006, when John Cena faced Edge for the WWE Title in a TLC match.

(1) Carlito's Sister:

During Carlito's Cabana, we see Triple H ask the ladies which one of them have had an intimate relationship with Vince McMahon. We see two of the ladies raise their right hands, while we see Carlito's sister raise her left hand. Now, which hand you favor is probably not hereditary, but it was a nice little touch by Carlito's sister to also be left handed just like her brother.

JP: In reference to your first one, we have often commented on the WWE production team being top notch when it comes to timing words to music. Never underestimate the awesomeness that is WWE production; they will always one up you!

Hidden Highlights for ECW on SciFi
Tuesday, August 28, 2007 by Sat

Sat: I have always wondered why ECW and RAW have the same amount of highlights. I think that it would make sense to have two Hidden Highlights for the one hour shows and three Hidden Highlights for the two hour shows. The only reasoning I am complaining is that I only found two Hidden Highlights for ECW. So, my apologies to JP and the readers.

JP: Luckily for you, the readers know when to fill in. And besides, I can find three Hidden Highlights in a half hour of Hogan Knows Best! An hour of wrestling should provide something!

(3) Cheer in unison:

Nikolia Nygard provides the save:

ECW gets its first HH from me! During the Balls vs Burke match with Kelly yelling "Come on Balls" several times some point in the middle of another yelling clapping thing you the camera comes to look and Brooke (possible knowing the camera would be on them) said "Why are you cheering for him?" in standard mean teen fashion. I thought it was a nice touch to keep herself noticed and do something since she hasn't talked or wrestled yet. Plus she's hot.

(2) Kelly Kelly's Clapping:

When Balls Mahoney came out to the ring for his match against Elijah Burke, I expected Kelly Kelly to be clapping for Balls Mahoney and for Brooke, Layla, and Miz not to be clapping. What I did not expect to see was Kelly Kelly clapping in unison with Balls Mahoney's entrance music.

(1) Fatal Fourway Graphic:

During ECW, we saw the graphic for the Fatal Fourway to determine the number one contender for the ECW title. The hidden highlight was that the Miz, the Boogeyman, and CM Punk each had the same amount of space for their pictures, while Big Daddy V had a huge area for his picture. This is a perfect way to put over the fact that Big Daddy V is bigger than everybody else.

JP: ** SPOILER ALERT**

All I have to say right now about ECW is that Morrison has been my favorite wrestler there for a while now and I'm going to miss him for the next 30 days.

** END SPOILER ALERT **

Hidden Highlights for TNA iMPACT
Thursday, August 30, 2007 by JP

JP: iMPACT had probably its best overall program in months. It looks like they noticed a lot of negative criticism as of late, and did something about it. No, I think they noticed declining buyrates and DVD sales and realized that their events have not been living up to past results. Just like Samoa Joe said, it's about where you can earn more! And TNA saw they were earning less with more expenses. Business, my friends, is a pretty easy equation. It's just successfully implementing the strategy that's the hard part.

(3) It's all about the positivity:

During the opening interview segment between… uh… that girl who wasn't Leticia and Team Pacman (Pacman Jones and Ron "The Truth" Killings), both the interview lady and Truth used the term "positivity". Now where do I hear that word all the time? Oh, that's right, in these very pages. Whether we invented the word or not is debatable, but who has done more to spread and popularize the word "positivity" in pro-wrestling than this very article? I'd say no one (with Meehan a diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistant second), so therefore Truth, interview girl, we accept your reference.

(2) Let me in:

Karen Angle decided that she was going to talk to all of Kurt's potential tag team partners in order to… ummm… I guess make sure they wouldn't kill Kurt if they won the title. On her way to Samoa Joe's locker room, Jeremy Borash stopped her in the hallway in order to try to figure out what she was up to as well (and whether this was really a good idea). While they were talking, my attention was immediately drawn to the background where someone was trying to get in through the glass door in back! I'm always amused by background action, and that was just an odd one that stole my thoughts during the interview.

(1) The true story of Karen Angle:

Still on her quest to talk to all potential partners (pun intended), Karen Angle stopped in the locker room of Christian's Coalition to be part of a gold mine of Hidden Highlights. My two favorites were simply this:

  • When she first arrived, Tomko checked out her backside and then nodded approvingly
  • Christian told Karen that the strip club was right down the street

Why was that second one so good? Because it has long been rumored that Kurt met his wife while she was a stripper at a club! Whether that is true or not, that was an amazing reference by Christian that had me laughing all the way until the end of iMPACT (even though the main event was phenomenal and deserves all kinds of praise).

Sat: I have not seen iMPACT yet, but I had to fast forward to see the Karen Angle and Christian's Coalition segment. That was one awesome segment.

    Hidden Highlights for WWE SmackDown!
Friday, August 31, 2007 by JP

JP: SmackDown! was quite interesting this week because it was shown after all of the names started popping up in the media for customers of Signature Pharmacy. My guess is the WWE has been aware of at least some of the list for a time now and started prepping their programs for the upcoming suspensions. If I remember correctly, the idea last week was to have Batista vs. Khali in a Punjabi Prison match. Seems that things picked up rather quickly in storyline world, wouldn't you say?

    (3) Me be da smarted one:

This week's Jesse and Festus video had the two talking about going back to school, and we learned that Festus was the real genius, especially at advanced trigonometry. I guess they didn't have AB/BC Calculus at Festus' high school. Anyway, I noticed a nice little touch with Festus as he had a pencil hanging in his ear! The notebook was blatant, but the pencil was quite the nice Hidden Highlight.

    (2) Shoo fly:

In the middle of the show, Batista took on his former tag team partner Rey Mysterio in the tournament to crown a new #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. Partway into the match, Mysterio attempted a cross body block off the top rope and Batista stepped aside. Michael Cole correctly noted that Batista got out of the way, but he missed the important part. When he did step out of the way, Batista actually pushed Mysterio faster the mat! Whether instinct or not, that is one way to a move more painful.

    (1) Let me check this one out:

Earlier the broadcast, MVP and Matt Hardy teamed up to take on the WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce ‘n' Domino for the titles. Late into the match, Deuce managed to knock Hardy down and went for the pin cover. It was an awkward angle as Hardy's head and shoulders were close to the ropes, but Deuce was lying across his arms. Charles Robinson then did something so smart I'm upset that I've never seen it done before: he slid out of the ring so that he could see Hardy's shoulders and began to count! Super kudos to Charles Robinson for going that extra step to keep it real.

Sat: I haven't seen all of SmackDown yet, so the only Hidden Highlight I can comment on is the Jesse and Festus segment. I did notice the pencil, but I am surprised that the drawing triangle (hope that's what it is called) was not mentioned. It seems like something that would fit in perfectly with advanced trigonometry.

Hidden Highlights for Hogan Knows Best
Sunday, August 26, 2007 by JP

JP: Ok, I know maybe I shouldn't do more jokes at Nick Hogan's expense, but I think the accident leads up to everything I've been saying about him here. Luckily, this was a Brooke dating episode, so there is plenty of material from her!

    (3) Like, for sure:

At the beginning of the episode, Brooke was getting ready to go on her date with Mark. Linda asked her how soon until her date would show about and Brooke said, "Like, 20 minutes". And sure enough, the banner came up and what did it say? "Like, 20 minutes later." That is too classic of a dig from the production crew!

    (2) Maturity:

Later in the episode, Brooke and Mark were both putting over how mature Brooke was. They came to an agreement that she acts like she's in her mid-to-late twenties. ORLY?!?! Being in my mid-twenties, I'd have to say Brooke acts more like a 14 year old and I am totally amused that she does not recognize that she acts like that.

    (1) Spy time:

In the aforementioned data, Brooke ran out to Mark's car to avoid having everyone meet her 30 year old boyfriend. But did you notice something peculiar when Brooke got in the car? There was already a "hidden camera" in the car ready to go! That was the ultimate moment of non-reality in this reality show that I have ever seen, and just had to point it out.

Sat: I really don't watch Hogan Knows Best. The only things that I know about this show are from Larry's Hogan Knows Best reports and the Hidden Highlights section.

    Reader Write-ins Hidden Highlights

Hidden Highlights are not just about what was written above, but about what you have seen as well. This article strives to not only spotlight the best Hidden Highlights, but to engage you, the viewers, and make you the best audience in the world.

JP: A little slower this week, but I expected that with the back to school and holiday season upon us. But I'm on vacation next week kids, therefore stop slacking! So, *GENERAL WARNING*:: some parts of the following Reader Write-in Hidden Highlights may be edited for grammar, spelling, and English translation…

We'll start off this week with the as promised Trish Classic Hidden Highlight via Travis Bucklaschuk:

From watching the videos supplied by her HH Hall of Fame induction, I noticed a small thing with how she applied the Sharpshooter to Lita. The application of it was more like how the Rock did it. Bret when applying the Sharpshooter would sit down on the victim as much as possible while the rock stayed standing and pulled back, and that's what Trish did (Well until the bell rang and she finally went all the way back.) But then, I could be off and then you can call me an idiot JP (And not lose any positivity point.)

JP: I think I lost enough points already, thank you. I mean, letting Meehan in here always puts me on edge. And not Straight Edge either. Badddddaaaaaa-bump. Nothing? Play me off, Johnny!

Also as a response to your comment about Mickie James learning from Trish, I have to agree. Without Trish I don't think the fans would have clicked with Mickie as they do. I think Trish was one of the best at getting other people over, especially other females. Without Trish I doubt we'd have as many epic matches as we were treated to. She is/Will be/And always will be missed, here's hoping the WWE makes a "Best of..." DVD set for Trish.

JP: Mickie's entire character was her obsession with Trish for the better part of a year. And you know what? She ran with it! One of my favorite Hidden Highlights of all time was when Mickie was in the room surrounded by Trish pictures that all had Trish's eyes cut out. Now THAT is dedication to detail. Sticking in the past and with the regulars is Pedro Rodriguez:

I have some more since the last ones didn't show up. Anyway, here's some from last week's ECW (good and plenty, like the candy, except not):

    - In the Balls/Burke match, Burke was going to throw Balls through the turnbuckle and into the steel pole. But right before he did, he began to tilt the head down. I thought this was smart because he was tricking Balls into thinking he was going into the turnbuckle, but instead did what he did.

JP: How many more Hidden Highlights are we going to find in that match? Elijah is way too good for the role he is in. I'll be sad to see him let go when they can't figure out how awesome he is. Can't you feel it coming?

    - I have to also commend Burke again. When Burke had Balls in an armbar, he never let go during the hold. As Balls was getting back up, Burke didn't let go and instead, changed it to another variation. I liked it because he never let up and attempt to give Balls a small opening to capitalize.

JP: Well there's another one, you got one more?

    - At the end of Balls/Burke, during the roll up for the win, I noticed that Balls did something very smart. Before the count, Balls had put one of his hands on Burke's right shoulder. Normally, a wrestler would hope for the best and hope that the roll-up would work. And normally, it doesn't. But Balls was smart to add a little more weight on Burke's shoulder to secure a pin.

JP: Oh, it was for Balls! Balls is an incredibly underrated performer, and an accomplished amateur wrestler. He may spend most of his time brawling or in garbage matches, but he can actually go in that ring.

    - During the Miz/Balls/Extreme Expose segment, I noticed how Layla and Brooke looked at Balls: with utter disgust. Good job by both for actually looking as if Balls is something they don't want to be around.

JP: I keep laughing every time Miz, Layla, and Brooke are talking to Balls and Miz looks at his watch that it's time to go, except he's not wearing one. What was even better was that on that week, Layla actually pulled Miz's arm down to look at the watch, too!

    - Before the main event, Punk was explaining to Boogeyman how to tag. Whenever Punk made a tag to Boogeyman, he always kept his distance by going far away. I just considered this interesting for two people who tagged before.

JP: I think I covered that one, but you sent this in before the article was submitted, so I'll let it slide.

    - During the main event, Miz had Punk in a toss position and then tagged in Morrison. Once Morrison hit Punk back down, I noticed that Miz pushed Punk's back up to allow Morrison to hit the elbow without any problems and to add extra damage to Punk. Smart.

JP: I know the IWC hates on the Miz, but I really think the guy has been working hard and actually has some skill. I think he's like the slow build MVP. The IWC hated MVP at the beginning but now loves him. The Miz is just taking longer to get there, but he will. Moving on to a subject completely unrelated, the always gorgeous and stunning Nikki Wilson answers the question we posed last week:

In regards to what Christian & Helms are doing on the set of Superman Returns, Helms is a friend of Bryan Singer! Superman was being filmed in Australia during one of their tours there, and Helms was invited to the set and took Christian along as a guest.

It was in one of his commentaries eons ago. :)

JP: Thanks for answering last week's question! Now for this week's question: what are you doing this weekend?

Sat: Didn't you tell me you are leaving for Phoenix this weekend?

JP: I can't bring a date to Phoenix?

Sat: Do you even know where Nikki is?

JP: Somewhere in the USA, I think?

Sat: Thanks for narrowing it down for me!

JP: Sounds like you are trying to move in on my game!

    Sat: You have game?

JP: I would if you'd shut up! Great, now Nikki left and I have to move on to Jeff Bathurst:

I saw something really really strange this week on smackdown. I don't know why they did some editing but, that night Batista was wearing his black trunk with the blue "the animal" in front. During his entrance, Batista comes out, has the black and blue attire and when comes the time to do his "jumping spinning around thing" he has the black and white attire!! 5 seconds later, it comes back to his black and blue. Now I got the chance to watch it a few times because I taped smackdown that night... so it's not just an illusion. Now why would they do that? Did Batista fell when he did his "jumping spinning around thing" when they taped the show and decided to put another image to replace it?? Anyway... I just thought it was weird and wanted to share with you.

JP: We've actually covered this phenomenon before in these pages, and I can't believe they would have the gall to do it again. It's true, sometimes they replace the entrance of Batista with clips from other shows that look better. It's kind of like how TNA keeps using the footage of the Meehan Hotdog Clan in the crowd during their intros. I mean, it's been covered here to death TNA, stop using it! Taking us in the way back machine is first timer Sean who is a little delayed, but still works:

While watching the Diva match on Raw (July 30, I believe), while Candice was making her entrance, the camera showed the heel Divas in the ring, and, Melina was picking her fingernails. As we all know, this is a universal sign of "I'm not interested in what's going on". Great job from Melina of keeping up her "celebrity" persona. Here's to hoping I get some more of these in, in a more timely fashion in the future.

JP: Melina, much like Trish, is one of those people who does so many little things that it adds up to something huge. She keeps adding more to her persona every week. Keeping it cool is new regular Neeraj Angal:

    - I thought Chavo was absolutely brilliant during the entire time he was on TV with the Rey mask. Everyone caught him talking to the mask incessantly, but did you catch some of things he actually said? He kept repeating "that's you, Rey" and referencing the I Quit match. Cole and JBL caught this also, and it helped tremendously in hyping the match at Summerslam and the actually history between the two.

JP: Now if only I knew what he said to Pepe!

    - I thought Batista's promo regarding the Claw (or Vise Grip, according to wwe.com) was great. It put over the move HUGE while never making Batista seem weak at any point.

JP: You know, I could never take the Claw seriously with a Von Erich, but with Khali it makes so much sense. The guys hands are bigger than your head; he can crush your skull! I approve.

    - During the same promo, Khali interrupted Batista and I actually caught some of the words he said! His concluding line was definitely "Summerslam me mai hi champion rahoonga" which means "At Summerslam, I will remain champion." I also caught some swearing - "saala" as mentioned by Asim, and I think "bhenchod", which roughly translates to "sister-fucker." Yeah, Khali's got a potty mouth. Also when our man Ranjan handed him the basketball, he said, "Le lo" which means "take it." And there was some great coordination between them, as right when Ranjan said the word "pop!" regarding Batista's head, Khali popped the ball. It may be totally coincidental, but they get the benefit of the doubt due to being Indian.

JP: I'm glad the translation of Khali continues. I still like calling people "brother-in-law" now in reference to doing their sisters.

Sat: I also speak Punjabi (the language that the Great Khali is speaking) and I can verify that the Great Khali is a potty mouth.

    - I've been impressed lately with Khali (he actually got some news coverage here after he became champ), as the guy is obviously putting some effort into his wrestling and overall on-screen performance. His selling has improved in that he's actually selling things for more than 2.25 seconds, his offensive arsenal has grown (the Vise Grip and the bodyslam I saw this week takes his moveset to six), and that goddamned ridiculous overhead chop is gone. He's also checking to see if he's holding the belt correctly before raising it nowadays.

JP: I think a lot of people are working with him backstage (many of whom read this article or live by its code), so they deserve some props as well.

    - In the main event, I loved Kane's selling at the end when he was making his last comeback. He hit punches, then smacked Khali in the turnbuckle, then took a break, sold the injury to the ribs, and then went right back at it. This was awesome, as he was (kayfabe) operating totally on adrenaline, but couldn't go on attacking due to his bad condition, then during the break, the adrenaline rush would be over, and the pain in his ribs would return. I hope you caught all that. I thought it was excellent. The only thing Kane forgot to do was to grimace during his pre-match pyro. But he did most everything else. Cole's commentary (and particularly the words "Kane's last gasp") was also pretty poignant and gave the main event the necessary big-match feel.

JP: How come I never get a rush of adrenaline when I'm working out? I just hit the floor and say, "That's enough!"

    - After the conclusion of the match (also cleverly booked - having Kane be pinned instead of submitting to what is essentially a submission move), Finlay came in and beat Kane up with the Shillelagh. Khali was busy celebrating, then turned to see Finlay beating up on Kane, turned around as if nothing had happened, and continued celebrating. Now this is not only standard heel camaraderie. It is a bit different, as it shows that Khali was done with the Kane match and solely focused on his upcoming match. When Batista did pop up later, Khali's celebration was over in a split-second and he'd covered half the ring to meet Batista in the time that it took to cut the camera shot from Khali to Batista and back to Khali. Now that's focus.

JP: I'm still tired from the workout, go on…

    - The last kudos for today go again to Kane, for doing much of nothing. After the Khali match and the Finlay beating, Kane lay motionless in the corner (back right TV). Then after Batista entered and was subsequently put out by Khali, Khali celebrated - and you could see Kane in the background, not having moved an inch. I mean, he was in the EXACT SAME position as he was when I last saw him. That's at least 3-4 minutes of staying absolutely motionless, from Batista entering the ring to Khali celebrating. This was some wonderful selling by Kane, to really get across the severity of the multiple beatings he received from Khali and Finlay.

JP: Remember when it took five tombstones to keep Kane down? Man, ever since Torrie made fun of his crispy wiener, he has not been much of a man. Moving on to someone else, let's bring back Chris Wingert:

Well, to no surprise, Carlito has another HH. When Vince was about to say, well mostly "I love cock", look at Carlito. He begins to slowly back away from Vince. Nice touch by Carlito, to say "Whoa...that is really not cool!"

JP: Bwa hahaha! Carlito does spits in the space of homophobia. And passing into iMPACT and finishing this week is Jeff Amudsen:

At the beginning of iMPACT this week when Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash were talking I noticed on the wall pictures of the four men competing for the spot to be Angle's tag partner. I just thought it makes sense since Angle would be scouting his potential tag partner and it lends itself to believing that maybe Kurt was taking this thing seriously. Sort of like NFL draft day where he has their pictures, I could almost sense he had sort of a bulletin board listing each's strength and weakness. Sort of how on the Sorpranos how the feds had a board of the "family" members that they knew were involved and where they were stationed. I am just saying, it was an added touch that really sold it for me.

JP: No, I thought it was a nice touch rather than the usual wall adornments.

And I LOVE that they had JB and a camera crew following Mrs. Gold Medal around instead of just having a "skit". It lends itself to the realism of the "sport" and JB's facial expressions were excellent. And while I am at it.. Tomko needs some love. His facials and his interaction are tremendous, and AJ as the weird frat boy, flunky is actually working.

And the fact that TNA talent ACKNOWLEDGE the camera following them is not really a hidden highlight… but it's a great change of pace. I always hate when the performers act like they don't know a camera is there.

JP: Yeah, I've always disliked the whole "floating camera" thing. Acknowledging and dealing with the camera is what works much better. Make it real, not skits!

And Sting telling Karen "if you are so concerned with the children, change your dress." Totally in character with his beliefs.

JP: Not really a huge Hidden Highlight, but a good line from Sting that had me hitting laughing again (man, iMPACT was good this week).

Well, that wraps up another batch. There's only one thing left to do, and that's turn it over to Sat!

Sat: I would just like to say that I have had a fun time looking for Hidden Highlights. I have spent the past few weeks practicing looking for Hidden Highlights preparing for this week and I can say that Hidden Highlights do make the product seem that much better.

Do you have a Hidden Highlight from this or any week in history that you would like to share? Please e-mail this article at lookforme@mikefine.com with your thoughts! Send them by Saturday afternoon to be considered! And remember, they can be from any show, live or taped, or any house show, or anything you saw… readers just like to know!

    Exit… Stage Left

JP: I would just like to thank Sat again for his help this issue. Nice catches all around, and I know it wasn't easy operating on zero hours of sleep.

Sat: Yeah, it was not easy, but it was fun. My gut tells me that I probably missed a few Hidden Highlights because of my lack of sleep, but I feel that overall I did a great job.

JP: Definitely. I have to tell you, I was extremely nervous going into this venture with guest co-hosts because in the past the results have been… less than stellar. But I think the extra year and half of reading Hidden Highlights has made everyone a better catcher and thus made this article even more full of positivity. Next week, look for another twist in the new Hidden Highlights. It's the beginning of a little contest that we are going to have around her that will have lasting implications for months to come. Tune in to find out!

Thank you for reading the 105th ISSUE of Hidden Highlights! Be sure to drop a line with all the other Hidden Highlights not covered this time around and everything you catch in the week to come.

Until then, you have just experienced the most positive article in all of the IWC: Hidden Highlights!
