Truth B Told 11.01.07: Championship “Time Out”
Posted by Bayani Domingo on 11.01.2007

This is straight from the horse's (Gabe's) mouth out of RoH this week:

I just got off the phone with Nigel McGuinness and there is good and bad news. The bad news is that Nigel has a torn left bicep. The good news is the doctors think with some rest that he will not need surgery and that it will heal by "Final Battle" weekend at the end of December. Since Nigel has already made his first defense we will keep the belt on Nigel until "Final Battle" weekend. If Nigel is unable to compete by the end of Decemember then we might have to make a move with the belt.

Okay, so this means that RoH will be without it's Champion for 2 months…AT BEST. Not 4 to 8 weeks. Not possibly a month or maybe more, but we're looking at Nigel maybe…maybe able to compete at the last show of the year. And then if he isn't able to return then RoH "might have to make a move with the belt". Not saying they will, but they might. Wow, that is a whole lot of "maybe" and "might" in one big important announcement there. Fact is there are very few companies out there that would make this kind of a bold call, RoH is one of them. I'm not sure whether to applaud them or hurl a roll of T.P. at them. I guess the big question is whether or not this really is a good idea to basically put your title belt on a "time out".

Remember a while back when Mr. Kennedy was injured and the WWE in their haste decided to take the MitB shot off of him by having Edge beat him for the briefcase, only to find out that it wasn't 6 to 8 months, but rather 6 to 8 weeks that he'd be on the shelf? Boy, that didn't end up working out so hot now did it? Kennedy is now back in the mid-card in the battle of the Swantons with everyone's favorite flying bag of Skittles. Taste the rainbow Kennedy….Kennedy. the WWE reacted a bit too swiftly in that case and while Edge ultimately took the title and then parlayed that into another title reign after ‘Taker got hurt, he also managed to get put on the shelf and we were all exposed to the wonders of a Great Khali title reign. Had the "e" not been so impatient they could have saved us the trouble and given us the first Ken Kennedy title reign instead, but I guess they were I full panic mode. I can see how at least RoH is learning from that mistake and taking their sweet time because momentum is much easier to get than it is to get back once you've lost it.

John Cena recently went down with an injury and because of the severity they had to immediately strip him of the title. While a week or two might have been okay if it had been a minor injury, hell, even a month, there just was no way Cena would be back in time for this stretch of big PPVs coming up. Taking the title off him was a good idea. Now if he was going to be on the shelf for 2 months would they have taken the belt off him and played up Orton taking him out? You know, I have to say the answer would probably be "yes". If nothing else then to at least give Orton a bit of a rub before Super Cena flies back in to banish him back to the "Jobber Zone". While you could keep Cena out of matches but on TV for two months, I hardly doubt the fans would be happy with him not defending his belt for 2 straight PPVs and besides, I seem to remember their being a clause about the title having to be defended at least once every 30 days. Then again we all know what the "e" thinks of "continuity" right? Still a valid point for taking the belt off Cena, but you better believe they took their sweet ass time and employed probably dozens of doctors before they decided to take the title off him (and ‘Taker) unlike with Kennedy.

*Knocks on wood* TNA has been spared the issue of injuries becoming a big problem for them thus far. I actually can't remember the last time one of their big stars was gone due to injury for a while. But had Kurt Angle's injured neck been a big problem during his match with Sting what are the chances that TNA would take the belt off him if the diagnosis was 8+ weeks off? I actually think they would take the belt off him more for his safety than anything else. Also they don't seem to have an issue with hot shotting titles and letting guys (AJ/Sting/Abyss/Rhyno) have short title reigns as it is. I think that is what has hurt the prestige of that belt more than anything. Okay, let's say booking, then booking, then …booking, then the transitional champs. Still one would have to believe that with two possible months lapse in title reigns would cause a bit of a stir. Even though they have 3 other titles to make up for it, any company's "Heavyweight Title" should be first and foremost the main focus of any company. Hell, at least TNA could try to make us believe the tag and X titles meant something again with a stacked roster in those divisions, what about RoH?

This isn't to say RoH doesn't have a good roster of workers. The whole "Faction War" angle lends itself very well to bringing the tag division back to the forefront. Which is great because for the next two months it will have to be. The problem is that right now they have 2 real titles and 1 set is on a team that is only half healthy, the other is on a man who only has the use of one of his arms. Fact is that the Briscoes went without a title defense for a few shows in a row, but they had the World Title to fall back on, now it looks like Mark is almost fully recovered and now the onus will be placed back on the tag titles again. One would think that the new factions will be the focus of the company now. In fact the struggle will actually come to a head on 12/1 when RoH has their annual Trios Tournament.

So far announced for the tournament are the Vultures, NRC, and Panic! at the Necro. 3 and a half Hangmen, Sweet n' Sour Inc., and the Resilience should be in line for the three remaining spots. Of course the winners of the tournament get 3 "Money in the Bank" type matches of their choosing. I'm actually curious to see if Aries does in fact bring Stevens and someone else with him into the tourney. I'm not sure if Matt Cross' "banishment" will be up by then but there is always Delirious there for the asking if need be. Problem is that even when one of those teams wins…there aren't any title matches to be made until "Final Battle" and even then there is no guarantee that Nigel will be able to go. Basically it's not really a "MitB" type stipulation if you can't cash it in whenever you want and there is a chance that you might not even need it anyways if you have the opportunity to win a vacated title in '08 if Nigel is really hurt badly.

If the question is: Is it a good idea to let Nigel hold the belt for 2 months without defending it even though they may have to strip the title from him anyways? Then the answer is "no". If the question is: Is it the right thing to do to not strip the title from Nigel? Then the answer is "yes". Now I know that seems confusing but let me explain. If you had to name the most "over" and most "deserving" guys in RoH to be World Champion then you'd probably list; Danielson, Aries, Nigel, Hero, and Strong. Maybe not in that exact order but I think it's clear that Danielson comes first, then probably Aries or Hero…then Nigel and Strong at the end. This isn't to say Nigel is a bad choice as champion, but the man is not the most "over" wrestler in the company nor is he considered the best wrestler in the company, those distinctions belong to Danielson and Aries. Could Hero or Strong use a 2 or 3 month title reign and take out Nigel to get a "rub" and set up a big rematch? Yeah I think so, but would it happen that way? I really doubt it. Because if they have been holding off on having the first ever two-time champion for RoH, I really don't think they'd make Nigel that guy. I happen to really enjoy McGuinness' matches and respect his work, but let's face it, it won't be Nigel. I'd say Aries and AmDrag over Nigel any day of the week.

It would be pretty easy to take the belt off Nigel. You could have Strong take him out with help from Davey and Rocky, you could have Danielson or Aries demand a match after the winner of their "Best of 3" series is over, Hero still has to cash in his title shot off the SotF win, I thought Claudio still had a title shot in his pocket actually. There are plenty of ways to go here and none of them would be bad, so having the title go undefended seems like a bad idea when there are better alternatives for RoH. But, that doesn't mean it's the "right" thing to do. Especially when you don't have to do it.

Gabe has done a good job of featuring a lot of his wrestlers in a way that the Title matches don't necessarily make or break a show. There is enough there for November and December shows that RoH fans won't be TOO disappointed if Nigel doesn't' defend the belt. Besides, remember that RoHbots never seem to question Gabe's decisions so if he says Nigel doesn't have to defend the belt then they're probably all on their little blogs right now writing emo poetry about how much of a genius Gabe is and how they wish he was their father…and how their father was a cold uncaring man who heaped so many expectations on them that it was suffocating, so hard to breath that they wish they could just die while listening to their myspace page that has "Seether" on it as their song of the day…oh sorry, I think I tapped into a little Tyler Black there. Point is, RoH fans probably wont' mind, so why rush into take the belt off their champion. Besides, I think the whole point of all this is not doing what's best for RoH but also what's best for the RoH Champion.

Nigel has fought, he's lost, he's fought again, and he's lost again. Only by the grace of God, and the meanest lariat on the biggest Margaret Cho impersonator you'll ever see did he manage to capture the title. Problem is that he had lost so much momentum along the way. Then he goes to Vegas and San Francisco and barely maintains what momentum he has as he isn't able to beat Danielson in Vegas and barely beats Jay Briscoe at one of the biggest car wrecks of a wrestling convention since the 2005 convention in Peoria when Lex Luger starts trippin' out on ‘shrooms and starts chasing Sunny around the convention floor with her top half off trying to take a shit on her while calling her ‘Elizabeth'. Yeah…that was one for the ol' xanga page. But the point is that Nigel needs all the help and support he can get from RoH because not only does he deserve it, but he's earned it. I applaud RoH for giving him that respect, it's a bold and gutsy move that should be applauded. Luckily Gabe was smart enough to book a decent undercard program(s) so that the World Title isn't a "make or break" attraction. I guess we can't say the same for the spinner belt can we? Bottom line is that Gabe doesn't have to take the title off Nigel because it won't hurt business if they don't defend the title for a month or two. Besides they will know prior to "FB" whether or not he'll be able to wrestle. If he can then it'll be a big show for him making his comeback, if he can't then they can always build up the crowning of a new champion at FB and they should still do some good business as a result of there being a "guaranteed" new champion. While I don't believe any other company would make the same choice, I also don't think that any other company/brand is in the unique position to be able to make the choice and get away with it. I guess that's what having a zombie loyal fan base can do for you.

The Truth

If Angle was out for a few months with an injury the title would be around someone else's waist by the next episode of Impact! Batista's injury would open the door for Edge or ‘Taker, Orton would be doing the job to HBK or HHH, and even in PWG I'm sure the PWG 6 would have the title off the waist of Danielson (and probably on Super Dragon) before he could finish the sentence "…but the doctor says I might be okay in 8 wee…". RoH is in a slightly different position with a slightly different fan base. They've managed to make the rest of their mid-card and titles mean something, mean enough to carry the company without Nigel for a few months. They're doing right by Nigel because they can afford to be with the "Faction Wars" and they're doing it because RoH fans will pretty much follow Gabe in any direction he takes the company. Short of a Bobby Dempsey title run perhaps, even then I'm not so sure we wouldn't be seeing hundreds of Bobby Dempsey CAWs on the new version of SDvsR in a matter of hours after the switch. I think this is a risk, albeit a calculated one, and giving Nigel the chance to come back and keep his momentum is the right decision for everyone involved. I don't think this is a "Vince Call", but as a "Gabe Call" it's the right one. Rest up Nigel and get back soon, because by "Final Battle" I don't want to hear about the 8 man tournament ending in a pinfall victory via "Bobzai Drop".

Coming Up Short

Was the "Monster's Mash Battle Royal" on ECW the worst match that has ever been televised involving 4 full-time wrestlers? Well it was trying it's damnedest to be, but it was too short to be as offensive as it could have been. The match itself was horrible. Just plain horrible. If you want to put it all in context then you have a hierarchy of "Unstoppable Monsters" now with Big Daddy V being at the bottom, then Khali, then Kane, and now "The Silverback" Mark Henry at the top. At the top of what? A giant pile of shit. I'm sorry, this was all kinds of bad and if they are going to run something like this, why not at least make it interesting with as many random "monster" type wrestlers as possible. I'd go for Gangrel, Vampiro, the ZOMBIE, The Yeti, Mantaur, maybe Giant Gonzalez, Carrot Top, you know, any muscled out freak they could find. But they gave us this instead. Really now, if you want to make up for the fact that Punk gets almost less mic time than half of the heel roster, then putting him against James Curtis in a 1 minute match and having him warm up for this pile of shit is not the way to go. If you want to make your champion the main guy, you better make him the main event. Otherwise we end up with a Silverback, and a kick in the ass. I think the "Royal" part of this battle came up a bit short.

Quarter Finals of the KING of 6 Degrees Tournament of Mild Discomfort

People…we lost a great, great man this week when a musician, no, a legend, no…and ICON died awaiting a lung transplant. Mr. Robert Goulet passed away this week and to pay homage to one of the most beloved singers of our time…if…your time was like, Milwuakee in the late 70's or perhaps parts of Iowa this is, we are using him as the first link in this week's "Elite 8" round of Quarter Finals matches. But not just anyone is soulful enough to link to the late great Robert Goulet. But yes, there is one more, one man with the soul, the style, and dare I say, FUNK, to get down and keep down with the incomparable Robert Goulet.

Need I say more? Yeah, just to warn you guys this week that if you decide to start off with the obvious Goulet/Ferrell link, you may have an uphill climb ahead. Let's dig down deep and bring the real FUNK as we link these two fine, fine men.

Whatchu talkin' bout readers?

Is it bad that I laughed at her botch. Hard? I hope not. She's not seriously injured, not losing her career or her life, and she's paid far too much. Yet I got lambasted from most angles for chortling at her fall.

But yeah, you're usually right, so tell me- am I a bastard?

Either way, more Asian sluttiness.

-Luke Southworth

You know, my first reaction was, "Oh SHIT" and then after she looked to be okay and they decided she was okay to drag over for the pin I was laughing my ass off. I really thought it was 15% scary and 85% hilarious. Not because I was hoping she'd get hurt, but because it looked like she just took a bump really wrong and ate it face first. That is, she landed on the one commodity she could afford to fuck up. So I did a little chuck after the initial shock and concern just like you did. So to answer your question…no, you are not a bastard, but you are a "jerk". But join the club we have meetings every first Friday of the month and punch and pie. I have no problem admitting I was laughing when that shit happened, she's okay now and no permanent damage was done, besides…that shit was funny as hell. Not, in a sick and twisted "old person falls and breaks their hip" way, but in a "fat kid falling down and dropping their ice cream…after tripping on the fallen senior citizen" kind of funny.

Hey,

I think I was sitting in front of you and your girl during this show. I was there with 2 friends (the really tall half-black dude and the shorter Asian dude). Your girl sounded pretty crazy. haha. Glad to know you had a good time because we did. Myself, I've
been to 3 other ROH shows this year (both Wrestlemania shows and the Edison PPV show) and I had more fun at this show then the others. Yeah, the place is tiny as
hell. Normally, it's an after-hours club so I won't hold the lack of space against them. Not exactly an ideal wrestling venue. Otherwise, everything was really cool save for the somewhat short duration (2.5 hours). You guys were a riot. I was really hoping to
hear the Genesis reference before the end of the night but I guess we can save that for the next Vegas show.

Take care.

- Alex

I remember you now. I definitely remember the tall as black dude sitting in front of me. Never fails, it was either going to be a hella tall dude, or the guy who looked like a cross between Slash's son and Vanilla Bone, the silent member of Bone Thugs n' Harmony. I was surprised you guys had more fun at this show than the others. My guess is the intimate feel (intimate = nut squashingly tight fit) made the show seem a little more interactive as you really got to be up and close to the action. I saw pics of the venue before hand on line and it looked bigger, then again it didn't have a ring in the middle of the dance floor. I also wished the show had gone longer or at least had an intermission or something so that the fans could get autographs or meet the wrestlers, but I guess that wasn't on the menu. I'll be honest; I can't even remember why I was going off on those 80's bands. No clue, sometimes I just get into a zone and I have no idea what's coming out of my mouth, but I'm glad you enjoyed the company. If you are ever wondering, never sit next to or around me at a show if you want peace and quiet because going to a show with me is like reading my column. All random jokes and weird observations, and the occasional reference to "Journey". But hell, that's what wrestling is about, the interaction and sociability of the event. It just makes things feel that much more cohesive. Yeah…I did indeed hold on to that feeling.

King of 6 Degrees 1st Round Results

It was a rough week. There were a few people who "fell asleep at the wheel" and were disqualified, and a few very close calls, very very very close calls. I had to consult my "wingmen" the Doc and Birdman on these but I think a few of these guys had some serious DHV spikes and made it through to the next round, aka "Elite 8". For the rest of them….it's Game Over. So without further ado let's see how the tournament brackets played out as some top ranked seeds fell and a few underdogs made it to live another day. Just for reference, I usually consider a person as a full degree. Let's see who is moving on:

Amazing. It was a tough week and it only gets tougher as the links this week aren't quite as easy. We're weeding out the weak and weeding in the strong. No wait, that doesn't make any sense. But anyways, this next week will be a little treat as the judging is being held a bit differently for the quarter rounds and we'll have TWO guest judges for the quarter finals. Two 411 staffers will be helping me each week with the judging as the tournament kicks into high gear. Tune in next week to see what our guest judges think of the quarter finals of the Ko6DToMD!!

Left Overs…

  • Eve is YOUR newest Diva Search winner. Meaning that in 3 to 4 weeks she'll be replacing Kelly Kelly as the 3rd member of The Miz's pussy. I mean, posse. You know it's getting close to X-mas when The Miz has his Ho, Ho, Ho's with him.

  • I <3 Santino Marella. I don't know why, maybe it's the mullet. Yeah, I think it is. At some point I really need him to start coming out to either Journey or Dire Straits. At least let the man tight roll his jeans for matches.

  • Okay, so speaking of The Miz, who in the hell….the HELL….voted for him to face CM Punk? I wonder if it's the same people that voted for Sonjaya week in and week out on American Idol. Which would have been an awesome candidate for the match actually. If Todd Grisham had announced Sonjaya won the voting to face CM Punk I probably would have soiled myself. Then again I didn't buy the PPV so if I did soil myself right after the announcement it would have been purely coincidental. But…you know…not out of the realm of possibility. I'm eating way more fiber these days.

  • I was all "WTF??" when Beth Phoenix said that all the time that Candice spent "perfecting her craft" was for naught. "Perfecting her craft"?? How the hell did she know Candice was inventing a new way to take 4 sets of balls to the face in one gulp?

  • Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore is teaching the beginners class at OVW now. I could just imagine how that class would go. "Okay, now we're going to learn the basics, we're going to run the ring, learn some mat work, and of course learn about psychology. In the first week…after that we'll just watch some old compilation tapes and do all that shit but learn how to bite our thumbs between transition moves."

  • I read the spoilers for this week's TNA Impact! If this isn't a swerve and the man they announced to be Sting's partner is really who they say it is and actually does wrestle at "Genesis". I am taking a hiatus from TNA till the PPV after. I'll still talk about it, but I'll refuse to watch. If anything I was SURE that the man Sting should pick would be Phil Collins. That way you get the biblical and musical reference in there. I was hoping he'd use the "Hold on my Heart Punch"as his finisher.

  • So is it just me or could Harry "D.H." Smith be any more generic? The guy looks like he'd be a jobber for Umaga or "U-manga" for my British readers, on any other night. I'm glad they did away with the British music and tights and gave him a …generic song and…generic tights. The least they could have done was given him some hair extensions and braided his hair with beads like his old man used to do….and Bo Derek. Although I don't think I'd enjoy seeing him in the same bikini.

  • Talia Madison has officially signed with TNA and I'm glad. Not only is she a decent piece of T ‘n A, but she also adds to that division as a competent wrestler. Also it looks like Rain of the "Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" along with Lacey will also be close to signing. That brings the total number of women wrestlers on the show to…28. Yeah, I counted all the chicks in the Battle Royal, VKM, and both of Junior Fatu's bitch titties.

  • Randomness of the week: Did I tell y'all that at the titty club in Vegas over RoH weekend there was a dude with Down Syndrome sitting next to me at the tip rail? I guess some people took him there. Who the hell takes cats with Downs to a titty club? Yeah, I know that they are people too, but seriously…who the hell goes to Vegas and says, "You know, I realize Danny is ‘special' and all he can do is plays slots all weekend or watch TV, but you know what would be a treat? Some big fat titties in his face... lets get his juice box and a stack of singles…make it RAIN Danny!" I don't know, it's just disturbing because the guy has to have some impaired cognitive abilities and possibly a very child like mind due to his condition and who could really enjoy a titty club with those kind of…oh…oh yeah…I forgot I was there with some wrestling fans. My bad. Keep holding it ‘down' Danny.

  • Shelly Martinez will be working a show in City of Industry in SoCal on Sunday. She's better known as Ariel to WWECW fans or Desire to SoCal Indy fans, and "That chick with the huge tits who wouldn't take it up the ass so I had her fired" to Batista.

  • Random 411 Fantasy Football League Update of the Week you could give 2 shits about: I narrowly escaped victory this week against Csonka. No thanks to DeShawn Wynn and Jason Wright. Thank God for Tom Brady. I'll say it right now, if Brady leads my team to the championship this year, I'd totally go gay for him. What? Hey, I'm just saying, am I really going to say that I'm too good for Tom Brady? The man impregnates some of the finest ass this planet has to offer, that's all I'm saying.

  • So apparently there are excerpts out there from Batista's book that kind of make him look like an asshole for cheating on his cancer stricken wife with every diva and ring rat (I know it's redundant) he could get his sack on. Well, as a fellow Pinoy I have this to say: Oh well. Look, everyone but us Filipinos get to give someone a ‘free pass' when they fuck up royally. Look at Black folks and OJ, White folks and George W, Gay men and Britney. I'm pulling mine this time. So with that said…Dante Basco better not fuck up any time soon cuz' he's on his own.

  • Random Asian Bitch Lookin' Good Pic of the Week

Sorry, couldn't get those wine stains out so I did the next best thing.

  • RoH World Champion, Nigel McGuinness has hurt his arm over the West Coast swing and may not be able to wrestle this upcoming weekend. I think that will be fine because at worst he won't be able to do any lariats and he'll just have to work around that in his normal repertoire. So…I'm thinking he'll be defending against Pelle Primeau this weekend in a 2 minute, 3 move match. Yes, the opening "slap to the face" counts as one.

  • Elijah Burke on "Ghost Hunters" huh? I was hoping they'd actually pair him with another popular personality from RAW for that one. I'm guessing they cut out the scene where the main investigator guy goes…"Hey, it's Halloween, are you guys ready for some spooks? Well here's Elijah Burke and Ron Simmons"…………………………."DAMN!!"

    Pimpin' In High Places

It's Halloween this week. Did anyone dress up yesterday? The offices here at 411 was festive as we had our annual Halloween costume. This year's theme (yet again) was "Come as your favorite wrestler". Guess how many people came as Danielson this year? Actually I have no clue…it was pretty hard to tell if anyone didn't. Then again JT did win for his Boogeyman costume. I think Cook was pissed he came in second place this year…but like I told him, you can't just come in drunk to work (again) with a tooth pick in your mouth and call yourself Scott Hall. I was surprised I didn't win the contest this year with my Jeff Hardy costume. As soon as the contest was supposed to start…I just didn't show up. Damn, where the hell is my gift certificate to Chili's?:

Ask 411 dug deeper than ever before to find out that Alex Wright actually has a wrestling school…in Germany. ZOINKS!! I wonder if you learn the dance on the 1st or 2nd day of class?

Jules has his Top 10 HiaC matches. None of which involve exploding piranhas filled with Cervezas on top of ladders however. Which is why WSX was so damn awesome.

A-Matt gives us a sneak preview to the sneak preview of Glory By Honor VI. He also has his cyber thoughts on Sunday.

Csonka's RAW BCS ranking system is infallible. Although somehow with all the injuries and upsets Jeff Hardy is #4 this week just behind Randy Orton, HBK, and Oregon.

HH has JP this week but also a special guest. I mean "Special" guest. I wonder if they'll mention that Mickie James' costume this year should have been Beth Phoenix. You know, just for continuity. But then again…wasn't she supposed to be a dyke? What the hell ever happened to that angle? The least they could do is show her in a backstage segment picking a hair out of her teeth as she walks out with Torrie Wilson for a Diva's tag match.

Viral Dose this week responds to my defending the West Coast. Well, kind of. I still say the West Coast is getting a bad rep, but until I can find Suge's number I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Even though I'm right.

Stu has a look back at the '87 and '88 editions of Survivor Series. I can't even remember last year's Survivor Series. Which team was Mantaur on?

CoH has a bit of "Hero Envy" this week as the man from Metropolis dominated the field at SotF. Even worse, Nigel is on the shelf for 2 months + with an injury. Now is the time that Hero takes over RoH and perhaps even Ari's column. If that happens and Sweeney offers to buy you out Ari, make sure you hide the money some place better than your boot.

Lansdell has stolen Matt Nute's gimmick. It actually wasn't stolen as they brought in Larry Sweeney to facilitate the deal. Lansdell now pays commission to Nute each week along with the rights to 50% of the merchandising and a freshly bathed Thai hooker for Sweeney on the first Thursday of every month. Damn…that ‘Sweet n' Sour' is good.

Haught and bothered...by the Hitman's book.

Sammy features a Younger/Webb match. Which is good, because I liked the Younger Webb as opposed to his later work.

D-Dubya guesses who the "Stars of Tomorrow" will be. But since he posted it on Tuesday and tomorrow being Wednesday the answer should actually be no one, since there's no wrestling on-on Wednesday s. but then again he's in England so I guess that means with the time difference and such…um…er…screw it. Let's just go with Festus and be done with it.

So looks like there is some legit wrasslin' happening in SoCal the next few weeks. I'm really considering going to the Alternative Wrestling Show in City of Industry on Sunday. Shelly Martinez, aka Ariel, aka …wait I already did that joke right? Well I'm planning to see her, Lil' Cholo, the ‘Bucks, the Awesome Plague, and with any luck, my homey Peter Goodman. Then next week PWG is running "The High Cost of Doing Business" next Sunday featuring Danielson/Jack Evans and Generico/Strong. Then the weekend after that is Rocky Romero vs Great Sasuke. Yeah…Great Sasuke…what…the…fizzuck?? I might be tempted to go. If nothing else to meet a man who actually participated on "Ninja Warrior". G4 tv baby, get it!! So with that said, all you TBT fans out there pray for a sterling day from Tom Brady and 4 or 5 TD's for LT. 1st place could be mine all mine this weekend baby!! Yeah, sometimes you need to take a little time off from obsessing about a "fake sport" to obsess about a…"fake sport". Wow, someone get me a new hobby.
