Your News, My Views 5.06.08
Posted by Larry Csonka on 05.06.2008

  • Welcome to the Tuesday news adventure, the one stop shop for all of the wrestling news, scuttlebutt, tidbits and rumors that you crave…Your News, My Views! I am your host Larry Csonka and it is time again to do what I do best, so sit back and relax.

  • Check out the sports section later this week, I'll be destroying some loser in Fact or Fiction.

  • 411Mania has come to terms on the releases of the following talent: Ryan Byers, Samuel Berman, Chris Lansdell and Stephen Randle. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. But not Randle, he's a moose fucker.

  • Get ready for the Independent Draft Spectacular II. My roster is EPIC.

  • There will be a podcast later this week.

  • Another preview of sorts for you kids, get ready for a new series of features here in the 411 wrestling zone. The first part of it will run in June!

  • Now to discuss some comments:

  • Regarding last week's news column: Thanks to Ari for the great post on Nigel and possible opponents, I was hoping he would answer the call there.

  • Regarding last week's news column: To Lita's Biggest Fan, I am sorry I didn't answer your question last week, I must have just forgot so please accept my apologies. If I had to choose, I would easily choose pro wrestling to watch for the rest of my life. I love MMA, but have been a fan of wrestling for so long I cannot imagine going through the rest if life with out it. Thanks as always.

  • Regarding last week's news column: For the most part we had some great discussion on both Randy Orton and the Michael Hayes deal. It is weeks like last week that I love the comments section. Thanks guys and gals.

  • SANTINO TROMBINO~!

  • Regarding last week's 4R's: As for the "request" to change the R's banner to exclude "The Ri-God-Damn-Diculous," the answer will be no. When the column began, "The Ri-God-Damn-Diculous' because one of the specialty R's and have been so for nearly 4-years, I am not going to change it now. And you may damn me all you want, but it will not change. I work for the church, I preach the word and I have also made it very clear that when I write, it is just me being myself, uncensored and having fun. If that offends you then all I can say is don't read the column.

  • Regarding last week's 4R's: Also from now on, if we want religious debate, join the forums. I judge no one, but really, I would prefer we discuss the columns itself. Thanks.

  • Regarding last week's 4R's: Andy had a good theory that the TNA Knockouts Cluster Gimmick match coming up "came off to me as a rib on Cornette being crazy/out of touch." Andy stated, "That's how it came across on TV I think, the old "use the lingo the kids are using nowadays" bit. That being said it's obviously a failure if nobody got the joke. And either way it's about 5 gimmicks too much in a single match." I will give you this, it is a good explanation of the naming of it. And we do agree, 5-gimmicks too many.

  • Regarding last week's 4R's: As for the fade to black, I didn't mind it so much because I think that once in a blue moon something like that can work.

  • WrestleMania Buy Rate prediction. 800,000 Domestic and 1.2-Million combined with international buys, likely just below the record. I wouldn't be surprised to see them break the record though.

    ECW on Sci-Fi Preview

    From ECW.com:

After countless chokeslams, frog splashes and Go To Sleeps, ECW on Sci Fi will celebrate its 100th episode on Tuesday. Armando Estrada has extreme plans for the historic show. The ECW General Manager will face a contract-seeking Colin Delaney, but will Extreme dreams turn into another nightmare for the hopeful? Or will the youngster finally earn a coveted contract on ECW's 100th episode?

The self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" soldiered his way past the Big Red Machine on ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday night. Thanks to a little help from his bodyguard, Bam Neely, Chavo Guerrero picked up a non-title, Handicap Match win over ECW Champion Kane. A vengeful Guerrero has his sights firmly set on the Big Red Machine's ECW gold, but will he ever be able to win back the Championship? Was Neely's impressive in-ring debut on ECW this week a positive sign for Guerrero's future in the Land of the Extreme?

Also on the centennial episode, Tommy Dreamer will face his recent rival, Mike Knox, in an Extreme Rules Match. Will the ECW Original finally get revenge on Knox, who in recent weeks defeated Dreamer and his friend, Delaney?

Kofi Kingston remains undefeated in ECW action, as the Jamaican Superstar defeated Shelton Benjamin for the second week in a row. If the Gold Standard can't stop Kingston, who will? Will the happy-go-lucky favorite of our fans continue to dominate?

Is it hot in here, or is it just Csonka?

WWE/ECW news, notes and happenings to the EXTREME:

All of this could be yours for $25,000… Big trouble for WWE's Ashley Massaro this week. In the new issue of Rolling Stone Magazine there is an article about a high level Los Angeles escort service operated by a woman named Nici that would setup celebrity women (Playboy, FHM, and Maxim models) with rich clients for $25,000 a night. The service was specialized, due to the fact that they made sure all ladies that worked for them had ties to Playboy, FHM, Maxim and the like, which is why they could charge so much. The article actually listed the names of some of Nici's women and among those listed is WWE Diva Ashley Massaro. That's bad news.

Now Nici has been busted by the FBI, basically shutting down the operation, but the publication of Massaro's name has been very damaging thus far. People have been quick to judge, slamming Ashley for being a whore and a prostitute. Ashley has personally denied this, and as you could expect, is OFFENDED. But there is an interesting twist here that has been ignored by many. There is a bikini model named "Ashley Massaro" from Las Vegas. Yes, same spelling. She is younger than the WWE's Ashley Massaro, but the two are often confused because they look similar. Could this be a case of mistaken identity?

Well, let's investigate the timeline mentioned in the Rolling Stone article. The article reported the year of the FBI monitored emails between Massaro and Bella Models was 2004. This would be roughly one-year prior to Massaro winning the 2005 Diva Search competition and subsequently signing on with WWE full-time. WWE's Ashley Massaro was already involved with Playboy, modeling under the stage name "Mackenzie Ryan/Ryan Mackenzie." Also back in 2003, Massaro took part in Playboy's 50th Anniversary Playmate Search, posing for a magazine dedicated to the search and was also featured as Playboy.com's Cyber Girl for January 2004. Her pre-WWE appearances do fit VERY neatly into the same period as the FBI emails cited in the article and they do specialize in Playboy, FHM, and Maxim models.

So what's the deal? Regardless of guilt or innocence, I would expect her to deny this as it could easily lead to her losing her job. The time frame fits into this very nicely, which would lead one to assume her being guilty. It's a lot of evidence pointing her way. But there is "Ashley Massaro" from Las Vegas, which throws everything into chaos. Or does it? Will things get more interesting?

    THEY HAVE~!

You see, prowrestling.net uncovered an old, outdated ad for "Ashley Massaro" on the old Bella Models website which is no longer active. If you search through the old website cache archives, an ad featuring Ashley does come up and lists her as living in New York City (she is from Long Island, NY) and states that she is willing to travel for a booking fee of $25,000. The archive page featuring Ashley's ad can be found here. It appears as if Miss Massaro has some explaining to do, and we know Vince will not be pleased with this. She can't wrestle to save her life, she already did her stint in Playboy and she is injury prone. How long until she is wished well in her future endeavors?

MAMMA MIA… And if there wasn't enough drama in the land of the BIG E, WWE Superstar Santino Marella was arrested this week on charges of Driving Under the Influence after a night out drinking with ECW star Kevin Thorn and a few developmental wrestlers. A goofy Italian and a former vampire partying together? That's a buddy movie in the making.

The reports say that Marella was pulled over after police noticed his car drifting back and forth, which is normal. After being pulled over, police noticed that Marella had "bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes," which when you take into account the way that he was reportedly driving, did not bode well for young Santino. Marella then failed several roadside tests given to him by authorities (and couldn't keep his balance in one). He was then arrested for driving under the influence. After being tested, his blood alcohol level was revealed to be .061, which is below the legal limit of .08, but the DUI charge stands since his blood alcohol level wasn't tested until hours after he has been in custody.

This is where it gets tricky, he failed the roadside sobriety tests. Many people think that these are created to make people fail, some say they aren't a fair evaluation and some think that they are law. But his driving drew attention, he failed the tests and was arrested. To me that means he was driving under the influence. Yes when tested, hours later, he was UNDER the limit, but as well all know people have different tolerances to alcohol. I can drink a ton and not be phased by it, I have a high tolerance, thanks dad. To me it appears as if Santino doesn't hold his drink all that well. But the bottom line is that if he was driving erratically, he was a danger to other drivers and I feel that the police had every right to pull him over. Let's just be glad that no one got hurt. So many people are rushing to defend him, but I guarantee that if he had an accident or killed someone, those defenders would be singing a very different tune. It is simple kids, do NOT drink and then drive. Use some common sense. Santino arrest was mentioned on several mainstream news outlets including TMZ and AOL, adding more negative publicity for the WWE this week.

Your News: WWE has made some changes to their Wellness Policy in an attempt to make it even more stringent. In the past, the person being tested was allowed to urinate into a vial at a urinal, but as of this week, both male and female performers were required to drop their pants to their knees, lift their shirts up above their nipples, and provide their urine sample with agents from Aegis Science watching. This change was done to prevent people from cheating in urine tests. The word backstage is that a specific incident did spark the changes, but nobody knows the exact details. Some believe that a developmental talent that was released recently was caught trying to cheat.

My Views: The reason for the WWE Wellness policy testing change was because when Afa Anoa'i Jr was suspended, it was because he was caught cheating the test. Many backstage at TV last week were upset by the change in testing. Basically there were people pissed they changed it because they were getting away with it and people pissed because they find the testing embarrassing. I can understand being embarrassed, but the fact is this is a rather normal testing procedure. The last time I got a teaching job, and that was the practice. Basically it is the nature of drug testing when you have people trying to buck the system. I commend WWE for trying to legitimize the testing system, whether it really works or not is to be seen.

Your News: Randy Orton has asked for some time off, specifically for house shows. Orton has sighted that he is feeling burnt out, but would work all TV and PPV, since is he penciled in at the top for the next few months. Orton and his wife are also expecting their first child soon. It is not known is he has had the request granted, but the company has pulled him from the tour of Mexico.

My Views: As of now Orton will only be off of the tour of Mexico, but as always that can change. I would like to think that his is a move of maturity on Orton's behalf. He realizes he is burnt out and wants to be with his wife more as she gets close to having her child. That is a moment that as a father you shouldn't miss if you have control over the situation. I hope that he gets his life on order, and that this is what he needs.

Your News: Jonathan Coachman's current contract ends in the next few months. Many feel he could end up with a full time job with the MSG network, where he is very popular.

My Views: The reason Jonathan Coachman was pulled from Smackdown announce duties was due to him interviewing for an anchor spot with ESPN. Coachman has been hired by ESPN, and he is expected to finish with the company shortly. Congrats to Coach, while he was a horrible wrestling announcer, he did play a great stooge but was never fully utilized in that role. Some say he will be horrible at ESPN, but all reports say he is a very good legit sports announcer. Some people are not cut out for certain duties. Frank Trigg was a HORRIBLE MMA announcer, but did great as a wrestling announcer. Hopefully Coach finds success with ESPN, good luck Coach and dance the Charleston for me!

Your News: The tentative plans for the One Night Stand PPV on June 1st is for all matches to be fought under Extreme Rules.

My Views: That makes sense to me. It makes the PPV different, and since they rarely run "Extreme Rules" matches on ECW TV and a lot of the other shows, it could work well. It is up to the workers and agents to make the matches different enough so that we don't see the same match 6-8 times. Hopefully they do that.

Your News: Florida State football great Ron Simmons has been chosen as a member of the 2008 Football Bowl Subdivision Hall of Fame Class, Steve Hatchell, President and CEO of The National Football Foundation, announced Thursday. Simmons, a two-time first team consensus All-American nose guard who played for the Seminoles from 1977-80, was selected from the national ballot of 75 players and eight coaches and a pool of hundreds of nominees.

My Views: Big time props to Ron Simmons, as he really deserves this honor. Simmons was a legit Heisman candidate and had huge success in college football. As a fan of Simmons (especially the Doom run and his title win, which was a great moment) this is very cool news.

Your News: Bret Hart visited Florida Championship Wrestling today and spoke to developmental talent. He also gave several wrestlers feedback on matches they put together for him to review.

My Views: To me this is an EXCELLENT idea. Hart has a wealth of experience and really should be sharing it with the next generation whenever possible. It only helps the business. I wish WWE would have the agents head down there more often, because while they help a ton in their role as agents, they need to be helping the next generation as much as possible. Hopefully Hart can make this a habit and visit a few times a year.

Your News: Chris Benoit's answering machine had many messages on it when authorities found it following the Benoit murder-suicide, most of which they have not released to the public. One of the messages on the machine was from Eddie Guerrero, left the day before he died.

My Views: A lot of people have sounded off on this and have said that it is "odd" that he would have saved the message, and figure that is an example of Benoit's diminished mental capacity. I have to disagree with this. I know many people that do something similar to this. My father took the tape from his answering machine when my mother died and kept it for example. They were married 43-years, and wanted to keep her voice near by. Benoit and Eddie were the best of friends, and he didn't want to let go of the message. Really, I see nothing wrong with that.

    TNA stories, scuttlebutt and rumors:

Your News: Joel Anderson from Survivor has not signed a TNA deal as of yet. They brought him in with some hype, shot angles with Team 3D, but he hasn't been seen or mentioned since. He has trained with John Hugger (Rellik) and some with Kurt Angle. Kevin Nash has also taken an interest in him, suggesting Anderson watch Scott Hall tapes since they are a similar size. Anderson has been given the impression that a contract is coming, but is getting impatient training without one.

My Views: All right, on one hand they really missed the chance to play off of his popularity as he is already off the show, but was getting interviews as he got booted. But thankfully they did hold off as he had no training. The thing is that the Survivor Finale will be coming up and he will be back in discussions for a bit, so they could play off of that. Training with Hugger is good I feel, he is a fine pro-wrestler, I just dislike the Rellik is Killer spelled backwards gimmick. Training with Angle also isn't a bad thing. Nash suggesting he watch Hall tapes to "learn how to move and work" in the ring due to their similar size" is also a good thing. It just depends on if he can pick any of it up. From Anderson's side of things I cannot blame him for frustrations. They apparently led him to believe that he would get a contract and such, and is training his ass off with no guarantee of money or TV time. Anyway, I still do not think that this will do any good for the company, but I'll take the wait and see approach.

Your News: Awesome Kong dropped the NWA Women's Title to MsChif at the April 26th event in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Since she is under TNA contract the NWA felt that she needed to drop the title. TNA tried to pull her from the show, and according to live reports Kong worked as if she didn't want to be there. She lost via Count Out.

My Views: First of all it makes complete sense for Kong to be asked to drop the Title. The NWA has their TV deal and wouldn't be able to keep using Kong for it, so they needed a champion that they could use. Also TNA, while not pulling her, had every right to make sure she was protected. So I am good with all of this. The problem I have is the reports of Kong being unprofessional. I have never heard any thing like this before from her, so I hope that it is a one-time thing instead of how she may act all the time. What surprises me is that she has worked with MsChif before, and you would thing that the would share some respect and that Kong would do what was right for business. It wasn't for TV, there were probably only 200-people there, it isn't a big deal. Kong made it a big deal, which is a shame.

Your News: The latest word on the TNA X-Division champion is that he will miss a minimum of 6-weeks. Williams suffered a broken orbital bone during a match against Jimmy Rave that will air on Impact next week. Rave did not have any heat on him afterwards for his knee that ended up injuring Williams.

My Views: The injury bug has hit hard this week, as you'll see later on in the independent section, and that sucks for these guys. Petey Williams, fresh off of an X-Division Title win suffers a pretty serious injury as he breaks his orbital bone. There has been nothing new reported about the injury, so I will take that to mean that there is no danger to his sight and that he will just need to take the proper recovery time and likely use a mask for a while. And as usual I hope that he does take the proper time to recover, as I don't want a man losing his sight just to try and entertain his fans. As for the title, the Terror Dome Match was rumored to feature primarily X-Division guys, so this could be a good way to crown a new champion. Just strip Petey, make the Dome a title match and there you go.

Your News: With Hector Guerrero being added to the LAX group, it looks as if LAX will be receiving major tag title push.

My Views: On one hand I think that this is a good idea. Salinas, while a nice piece of ass cannot talk to save her life. They apparently want an extra person to handle the mic work, and Hector isn't too bad. But there are also more problems I think than rights. First of all the last time they had interaction, Hector was costing the team the tag team titles at the 2007 Lockdown PPV. Secondly, it was just out of nowhere, they just brought it up and he just accepted. I feel that they should have played off of the history and had a period of time where LAX had to "prove themselves" to Hector. Thirdly, I don't have a problem with LAX saying that the respect the Guerrero family, and mentioning the brothers all by name was fine, but they mentioned Eddie like 7 times in that promo. To me this is a lame attempt at face heat by using Eddie's name. I hated when WWE did it, and I don't like that TNA is doing it. Finally, I smell a RUSSO swerve here, where LAX win the title and immediately turn on Hector. I hope it works out better than I think, but as for now, I don't have any reason to make me think any different.

Your News: While Matt Morgan turned down the NBC Contract for American Gladiators (due to the length of contract, 6-year option) the company is still interested in bringing him in, and have reopened negotiations. Right now the major hold up is that the NBC deal gives the company the right of first refusal for any appearances Morgan would make outside of the series. This includes TNA, which would make it difficult to book Morgan in any long-term angles. As mentioned, negotiations have been reopened between the two parties but there is nothing set as of now.

My Views: Unless NBC changes their tune about the "right of first refusal" and the "6-year option" I do not see Morgan agreeing to the same deal he turned down weeks ago. I do think that if NBC and TNA could come to some agreement that it would be great for TNA, but I jus don't see them giving that much as they seem to want complete control. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NBC and TNA lawyers have come to an agreement that will allow Morgan to participate on Gladiators this season, and that TNA will remain a priority.

    Independent Insights~!

Your News: ROH's Mark Briscoe is scheduled to be out of the ring for 3-6 months following surgery. The injuries to his hand were far worse than initially believed, but doctors were able to repair all the ligament and bone damage.

My Views: All right, this is a case of both good and bad news. The bad obviously being that the injuries to his hand were far worse than they thought going in, but the good being that the doctors were able to repair all the ligament and bone damage. That is the good news for Mark. I wish him well in his recovery and also I want to say that I hoped he learned something from this most recent injury. Much like Rey Mysterio, Mark decided to work with a very bad injury, likely thinking that he could make it no worse than it already was. But also like Rey, he DID make it worse. Both men are extremely lucky that the doctors were skilled enough to repair the damage, and they both likely will come back 100% or as close to as possible. He got lucky. Too many guys are still working through injuries that they shouldn't be, and with Mark's history of concussions, he SHOULD know better. To put it in Briscoe lingo, there is time to man up and there is time to just be a man and do the smart thing. Let's hope that the lesson is learned and that when he comes back, he comes back a smarter man. Get well Mark.

Your News: Current PWG World Heavyweight Champion the Human Tornado might be out of wrestling for some time suffering both an ACL and dislocated kneecap injury. The injury took place on Friday April 25, 2008 at a JCW show in Springfield IL. Tornado was supposed to face Billy Morgan, but as Tornado hopped the top rope, he landed wrong, blowing out his knee on landing. They did a quick 25-second match where Tornado, even while injured managed to hit a flip side suplex and pinned him. The status of the PWG championship (which Tornado won in a one night tournament after champion Low Ki suffered a knee injury in Japan) is not known at this time.

My Views: Talk about horrible luck huh? Obviously there is never a good time for an injury, but let us look at this. Tornado injures himself during his ring entrance, flipping into the ring. If that isn't bad enough, I mean I could see a tweak, but this is a TORN ACL and dislocated kneecap. So right there, depending on things he is looking at a year before coming back. He is the current PWG champion, which means he will lose that title, lots of bookings overall and a lot of money. And to rub some salt into the injury, there were rumors that ROH was going to use him A LOT this summer. Apparently Gabe had some big plans for Tornado, and now those are out. This would have been another big career move for Tornado, and it is gone. All I can say is get well and make sure you are fully recovered before you come back.

Your News: Nu-Wrestling Evolution has reached a deal with La Sexta, a Spanish TV station which aired the 2006 World Cup in Spain, to air shows taped on their upcoming tour. NWE television tapings will be held in Madrida, Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Barcelona and Zaragoza. The shows will then air throughout the summer in a one-hour format and aimed at a family audience and will be "suitable for younger viewers." Wrestlers confirmed to work the tapings include Rikishi, Chris Masters, Ultimo Dragon, Orlando Jordan, and Juventud Guerrera. The Ultimate Warrior will work their June 25th show, facing Jordan.

My Views: They have been reportedly drawing very good crowds, upwards of 15,000 but I was wondering how they were going to keep paying the names that they have been bringing in. And then they add WARRIOR to the mix, which we ALL know will cost them a shit load of cash. I was wondering what they had up their sleeve to pay him because one big live crowd will not cover him. But the news of the TV deal ties this all together and now it all makes perfect sense. They are running 6-tapings, and I would figure that they are shooting for 2-hours of TV at each stop. Which would give them 12 hours of TV, 12, 1-hour TV shows, which sounds about right. They may actually make money, good luck with that!

    In Closing…

  • I will end the column today with a few goodbyes. We have some members of the 411 staff leaving us, and I wanted to address that. The first is Samuel Berman. SAMMY announced he was leaving last week as he delivered the final edition of the Independent Mid-Card. Sammy began back in December of 2006, and was a great asset to the site in expanding out independent coverage. I would like to thank him for all of his work here at 411. Take care Sammy!

  • The second man is someone I have come to know well and consider a friend, and that is Ryan Byers. Ryan has been with 411 for four years, and over that time helped out in many areas. He worked hard to bring SHIMMER to the attention of the 411 readers, and no matter what he was writing, always brought quality to 411. I would like to thank him as well for all of his work here at 411. Take care Ryan.

  • Lansdell is staying, he's a dirty liar. He will be running TNA roundtables and taking over the Sunday news position.

  • I didn't fire Randle…yet.

  • For more interesting information on wrestling and reviews, check out Bryan Alvarez and Figure Four Weekly Online as well as Mike Campbell over at SPLASH MOUNTAIN!

    And I'm out of here!

As regards Benoit saving Eddie's message ... it sounds like something I would
do, if I had a digital answering machine, anyway -- if I had a tape answering
machine, I'd store the tape ... unfortunately, being a cell-only type of guy,
I'd be forced to lose the message in two weeks (if I understand AT&T's
    system correctly).
As for Coach ending up at ESPN -- more power to him. Some small part of me
just likes the guy for his personality, but the majority of me hates hearing
his attempts at commentary and insight while watching SmackDown or Raw, so it's
good for me that I don't have to hear him anymore, and good for him that he's
accepted at another job -- and possibly good for me as a sports fan, and
definitely good for him, if he manages to kick ass at ESPN.

I think a lot of folks are missing the point about Santino's DUI. His BAC
doesn't matter, especially if they took it hours later. If he had been
drinking and was swerving around, even if he was under the limit at the time it
is still DUI. BAC is not an automatic "get out of jail free" card.
Also, the failed sobriety test is a nail in the coffin. When he goes to court
and they show the tape of him unable to stand, he will be found guilty. I just
hope this was a temporary lack of judgment on his part and he learns from his
mistake. Thank God no one was hurt.

Also, how stupid is Thorn? If the guy was that messed up, why the hell would
you get in the car with him?!?

Why would anyone hang with Kevin Thorn in the first place? Haha.

In other news. Watched that "Terror Dome" video since I haven't seen
what it looked like since well...I stay away from TNA. Is it just me or does
the Terrordome look like the Dome of Devastation from Celebrity Deathmatch?

I don't care what anyone says, I am not as fucked up in the head as to keep an
answering machine message for years, regardless of who it was who died.

At least, if nothing else, that reminds me of just how much better than Benoit
    i am.

HHH was booked as superman and smacked down the whole ecw roster. What was that

No more Berman?? Who else can we count on to make up imaginary wrestlers and
vote for them as Wrestler Of The Week?

OK - who is the bigger nerd? You for mentioning a relatively obscure EWR
reference, or me for INSTANTLY picking up on it?

MP, I know hope someone close to you dies. Then maybe you'll understand why
you'd want to keep anything that reminds you of them with you.

MP - It's not so strange to keep a momento of a dead loved one. I kept my pet
gerbil up my ass for years after it died.

MP, why is it fucked up to want to keep something that reminds you of a lost
friend? Have you ever taken a photo of your Mother? When she dies, I doubt
you'd throw that away, same thing here. I wont go so far as to wish death on
you and yours - real classy Registered - but just try to think how you would
feel if someone close to you DOES die.

Considering the average metabolism rate would decline the BAC at about .017 per
hour, it's virtually undeniable that Santino was over the limit when he was
arrested, unless the testing was done within about an hour. But since it says
"hours" it was likely well above .08, probably at least 1.0.

Say what you will about Orton, but all his antics are harmless.

I hope TNA are able to play Public Enemy's "Welcome To The Terrordome"
    sometime...

Larry, as a man who teaches the word as well, I just wanted to say kudos for you
maintaining your stance on the subject.

As for LAX, even if they did turn on Hector that would fit right in with their
thug personality. It would be the perfect setup for them to go up against
(hopefully) a face MCMG for the titles!

People can crap all over they want about the Terror Dome gimmick just because
it's TNA, but when's the last time the WWE had any kind of special match for
    the IC or US titles?

Just so it's clear, that earlier post and this one are not from the same person.
I have no opinion on the answering machine message either way. Benoit's
defenders, on the other hand, I think are the scum of the earth.

You work for the church, you preach the Word, but doesn't the Word show us
repeatedly that if we are saved we'll be changed from the inside out? The heavy
cursing and that certain banner don't seem fitting for someone shining the Light
    to a lost world.

If we don't look any different when "being ourselves", nobody's gonna
believe what we say when we... aren't being ourselves. Hmmm...

He asked nicely to avoid talking about religion in the comments. Don't be a
dick. If you really feel the need to get on his case send the man an email or
something so I don't have to read your nonsense.
    On topic:
TNA Terrordome can surely be a fine match, but I'm wondering if it's really
different enough form the escape match they already do yearly (and last month
at that). Works fine in AAA but not exactly groundbreaking. No way it gets
any time on a card that packed either, if you want people to take notice it
should be headlining a show or in the 2 spot before the main event (also not
    full of jobbers).

Great column, Larry... I didn't like ECW100 and if Mickey James is involved in
a scandal like Asskankley Massaro, we should do a lotto $100 buy in... 250
chances between staff and posters.... winner gets the night. winner could be
    announced on a podcast
       that's GOLD, Larry, GOLD!!

See, you can't possibly have a conversation about religion with religious
people, because part of the facade of being religious is that you can throw
blind faith out there as a constant defense. Christians hate rational thought,
because it goes against the core of what religion really is- A huge scam
perpetrated on the most ignorant and least evolved of our species just to make
    a buck.
    Jesus is fake....

Man I totally agree with MP. What ever happened to photographs, letters, and Cam
cord recording to remember a good friend.. To leave a message on someones
ranswering and keeping it to hear it over and over again, just shows early
signs of Benoits downfall and the mental breakdown that was soon to come.
