The 8-Ball 08.23.12: Top 8 WWE Anagrams
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the 8-Ball. My name is Ryan Byers, I am your party host, and I am here for what will be a very quick and dirty version of this column due to some time commitments of mine.
Hopefully, I’ve managed to make this quickie list entertaining . . . and, if you think I failed to do that, I should be back in seven days’ time with the more fleshed out 8-Ball that you all know and love.
I’ve always been a fan of wordplay. Puns, palindromes, homophones . . . I love them all, and, if you’re somebody who interacts with me in my day-to-day life, you can attest to the fact that I use these devices (and many related ones) almost to the point of being completely obnoxious. Yes, I know, a guy who writes about professional wrestling on the internet has a habit that makes him somewhat obnoxious. I’m sure you’re shocked to be reading that.
Perhaps one of the most challenging and therefore entertaining forms of wordplay is the anagram, in which you take the letters of a word or phrase and rearrange them to form other words or phrases, preferably one that is somehow related to the word or phrase that you started with.
So, in the interest of entertaining myself, I give to you the top eight anagrams that are related to current WWE performers.
That’s it for this week’s 8-Ball. If you can’t get enough of Ryan, follow him on Twitter here.
