Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio
Mysterio enters through the crowd and attacks with a rana from the apron to start. Quick sequence in the beginning where Angles goes for the ankle lock early. Rey tries the 6-1-9 early. Can anyone explain the name 6-1-9 to me? Angle pulls Rey to the floor for some brawling. Crowd is hot to start. Angle pulls Rey back for a German. Goes for another, Rey holds the ropes and segues into a sunset for 2. Quick clothesline by Angle and he retakes control. Angle slows it down and beats on Rey in the ring. Angle grabs Rey from a rana into a side slam for 2. Rey fighting back. Jawbreaker, forearm shivers. Sunset flip attempt, Angle sits, Rey up, Belly to belly throw by Angle. THE STRAPS ARE DOWN! Angle Slam, Rey floats into an arm drag, Angle charges Rey, who pulls down the top rope and Angle topples to the floor. Rey regroups in the ring. Rey goes to fly to the floor, the ref says no. He does it OVER the ref and flies onto Angle on the floor. Angle back in, top rope legdrop Rey, cover for 2. Rey jumps to the middle rope, then onto Angle's shoulders. 6-1-9 hits, then a rana from a springboard and gets 2. Spinning heel kick by Rey. Rey up top, flips over Angle, who goes up top, Rey hits a springboard dropkick to the face of Angle sitting on the top rope. Rey goes for a top rope rana, Angle pushes him off and gets the Ankle Lock! Rey reaches for the ropes, Angle pulls him all over the ring, and Rey taps. Awesome opener.
