Lots of WWE news to kick off the day!
- When he is done filming The Expendables, Steve Austin will move onto yet another project, The Stranger. The film will be shot in Canada, and the same production company that produced Austin's last film Damages will also be working on this film. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
- There is heat between The Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine right now. The two were to tour Europe, facing Demolition on shows, but Valentine a tour visiting servicemen in Afghanistan instead. Valentine had said his promised plane ticket for the European tour didn't arrive, so he went with what he felt was the sure thing. Honky Tonk Man was very vocal during the European tour about Valentine not coming, said that he better stay away from him during WrestleMania, and also added Valentine to his "Ass Whipping List". - John Cena was interviewed by AP Movies about the release of 12 Rounds, which you can read here.
- The following press release was sent out today, hyping Roddy Piper's next film:
Marshal Hilton and W.W.E. Hall of Fame Wrestler Roddy Piper, Star in Justin Paul Ritter's Psychological Horror Feature Film "A Gothic Tale."
What Do Edgar Allen Poe's Classic "The Tell Tale Heart", Robert Louis Stevenson's "Markheim" and Nathaniel Hawthorne's Dr. Heideggers's Experiment" All Have in Common? Justin Paul Ritter's "A Gothic Tale."
Hollywood, CA, March 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Writer-Director Justin Paul Ritter, coming on the heels of his critically acclaimed 2005 debut Horror Thriller Feature Film KatieBird*Certifiable Crazy Person, (http://www.katiebirdthemovie.com/) brings back the "Old School" in psychological terror with "A Gothic Tale". Crafting a brilliantly haunting modern day Gothic tragedy, a visually inspired Justin Paul Ritter takes us on an emotional and violent journey that examines love, emotional greed and personal choice, as well as challenges one's own sense of morality, loyalty, and the consequences of spiritual compromise.
Inspired by the most influential and creative minds of classic Gothic storytelling, Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson and Nathaniel Hawthorn, "A Gothic Tale" narrated by W.W.E. Hall of Fame Professional Wrestler Roddy Piper (www.imdb.com/name/nm0684929/ ) as the "Homeless Sage", stars Marshal Hilton as "Mark Heim" in the Lead Role (IMDB www.imdb.com/name/nm0385288/ ), Actress Jamie Hood as "Lillian", C.J. Baker as "Thomas Heidegger" and Ryan McGivern as "The Stranger".
Inspired by the Gothic story classics, "A Gothic Tale" (www.Agothictale.com) examines the deconstruction of three tortured souls that will forever be linked in hell at the mercy of one another, because of the compromises they made to be free of one another.

Make it an Oxygen Tank match. An oxygen tank is set up in a corner of the ring. The first wrestler to have to use it loses.

Having seen Honky and Valentine in RL, I must say Honky would get his ass kicked. Valentine is an F'N wall.

Honky vs. Valentine in a Legends match! I'm down!

Honky Tonk Man is a bitter, talentless old piece of white trash. Of course Valentine is the most boring wrassler to ever make it big, so they both suck big green donkey dicks.
Posted By: Groot (Guest) on March 26, 2009 at 12:37 PM
omg piper couldnt act in the 80's, 90's and now they think he can in the 2000's. Well another flop for wwe films.

Dissention in the ranks of Rythm N' Blues.

I have quite a few of Piper's movies since I am a big fan of him- but even I will admit they are mostly pretty terrible. There were ads for one called Sinn Jynn Smith(Sp?) a couple yrs ago that actually looked good, but then it just vanished...anyone know about it?
Honky is funny but I really think Hammer could kick his natural ass! I'd still rather watch a Honky/Valentine shootfight than half of the WM 25 card!
Even Demolition vs. Honky/Hammer sounds sweet!

I'd love to see The Hammer's response to being on Honky's list. Followed by Honky getting hammered.

Groot lives for this but let me just say that Honky is extremely talented and Valentine is known as a wrestlers wrestler which means hes reall y good as well little girl go watch Orton/HHH video recaps and clean your room

I filmed myself doing "The Stranger" once, too. I didn't realize you could do so professionally (in Canada no less!).

Will Austin play the young man or the neighbor in Camus' The Stranger?
Posted By: christiansbale (Guest) on March 26, 2009 at 03:40 PM
Honkey tonk man couldn't bust a grape. I don't think the hamer is overly worried
Posted By: ult (Guest) on March 26, 2009 at 05:48 PM
In a real brawl, I'm putting my money on the Hammer. It would be a decent fight with two old guys, but Hammer is a hard man to hurt.
Posted By: The Coach (Guest) on March 26, 2009 at 06:47 PM
HAH! if Hammer really felt like bothering with it he would MAUL Honky, Honky's just a low class, bitchy piece of crap. Hammer could knock his head inside out, but i guarantee he'd just laugh at Honky and know it wouldn't be worth the minute spent.
YOU'RE THE MAN VALENTINE!!!!

Valentine went to visit servicemen in Afghanistan? What a prick.

RODDY PIPER IS A GOD!!!
He doesn't need to be able to act to be good in movies. He's like Christopher Walken... he just needs to say his lines and kick some ass!!!
RODDY PIPER MARK!!!!

You know what, I don't think Valentine is going to want to play pretend guitar for Honky anymore. Sad.
Seriously, everything about that story is tremendous.
Posted By: The REAL MP (Guest) on March 26, 2009 at 09:34 PM
Valentine would kick Honkytonk's ass due to having more legitimate toughess than Honky
Posted By: Dwayne (Guest) on March 27, 2009 at 12:44 AM
I always thought the actor in the 80s movie they live acted and looked just like Piper, just to add on the above message of piper couldn't act

If you ask me the longer the War in Afghanistan goes on the more it's in favor of the Hammer

"...added Valentine to his "Ass Whipping List"."
That's simply awesome. Seems like a misunderstanding blown out of proportion though really.
