Full Listing for WWE's Greatest Stars of the 1990s DVD

Latest on WWE's next big DVD...
WWE's next DVD release wil be the Greatest Stars of the 1990s which will look back at performers from WCW and WWE during the 90s. The DVD will be hosted by Tazz.
That is an annoying lack of anything WCW or ECW in there. Where's Goldberg, Raven, Shane Douglas, Steiners, Harlem Heat, DDP, Vader... hell, where's Davey Boy Smith, X-Pac (I hate him, but he was huge), Ken Shamrock... wow, that's a lot of omissions. And just having a match on the DVD isn't enough, I want profiles on them (so Vader being in a match doesn't count)

This DVD smells of Fail

Not too sure why the Mankind vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley Steel Cage Match gets so much love from the WWE. It was a really awful cage match.

I agree with Jimbo somewhat.. The Steiners WERE the 90's as far as tag-team wrestling goes. Also, Goldberg was monstrous from 97 - 99, so where is he? It's nice to see Sting included on a WWE product, but still they missed a few key names.

I would think the lack of ECW or WCW is due to the fact that it's "WWE's Greatest Stars on the 90s." Clearly, for this set it is going to be predominantly a WWE-centered disc. Watch "Rise & fall of ECW" or wait for th reported "Rise and Fall of WCW" disc(s) if you're looking for a WCW or ECW fix.

Totally agree w' Jimbo!
We've seen Austin, Hitman, Foley, Hulk, RF, etc. DVD's already....

It's called "Greatest Stars" NOT "Average wannabe stars", that's why losers like Xpac (who was not "huge") and Shane Douglas aren't on it.

ha ha, first they release Tazz, then we find out he hosts this new DVD, it's hilarious I tell ya

Half of these matches make me want to buy it and half make me wonder why they were included. I don't get why matches that happened at the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, and Summerslam are included on any of their sets as all of these PPVs are readily available on DVD.

Disappointing offering. I was hoping for that obscure WWF Action Zone classic w/ HBK & Diesel v. Razor & Kid

Lets face it some wwe dvds are not gonna be perfect simply because wwe wants their version of history to be remembered. Meaning that they wanna make guys significant to their company to be seen as bigger stars than ecw wcw or international wrestlers. On the positive there are a good ammount of matches never released on dvd.

I wish they would have included the Bret Hart-Mr. Perfect Summerslam 1991 match on here.

Jesus christ people. They hit the big ones, it can't be a 20 disc set. If you don't like it don't buy it.

kind of ironic tazz is hosting lol.
they should release a best of action zone or best of wwf mania dvd

it could have had some Goldberg, raven,or even rey mysterio(for Christ sake he was the best wrestler in the world during the mid 90s), but in otherwise solid looking DVD

No LOD? They still kicked ass for the first half of the 90's.

It was called the Triple Header because WWF President at the time, Gorilla Monsoon put all the titles on the line, Diesel's WWF Title, HBK's Intercontinetal Title and Yoko & Owen's Tag Titles in the one match. The man that got the pinfall would win the man's title. The dumb thing about it was that on the PPV, Owen didn't show up and so The Britsh Bulldog was made to be his replacement but then during the match Owen showed up only to eat the Jackknife powerbomb from Diesel and to lose the match and the Tag Titles. Then the next night on Raw, the outcome was reversed because Owen was the legal man because Bulldog was his replacement so the titles were then returned to Owen & Yokozuna only for them to lose them later on against the Smoking Gunns. So the match was pretty much irrelevant due to all of the stupid booking decisons.

I'm just happy to see any recognition by WWE no matter how small, of Bull Nakano. I wish her November 20th 1994 match against Alundra Blayze was on here instead...but oh well...

All the smarks that post on this site are the most picky, annoying, and self centered morons ever..I love wrestling but no wonder other people make fun of people that watch it..You complain about everything..Is anyone upset that they did not include Men on a Mission with Oscar as part of the DVD? Geez
Posted By: LetsgoMEts1981 (Guest) on April 02, 2009 at 08:44 PM
Legion of Doom should have been included on here. Sounds like a decent enough dvd, but LOD deserves a spot. They were great!
