The card seems more like something I'd see at Unforgiven, not Wrestlemania. Still, one thing it's got going for it is unpredictability. Except for the Taker match, I'm not 100% sure about the outcome of any of these matches, which is rare when it comes to Mania.

Wrestlemania 25 will be Rated RKO.... please!

Don't forget, on Sunday Night Heat tonight, the E will announce the no build-up impromptu wrestlemania curtain-jerker match between evan bourne and jack swagger!

    my predictions:
    * The WWE retirement Home, With SCSA + micky rourke interference
    * Undertaker (Clean)
    * Jeff Hardy
    * Beth Phoenix
    * Christian (why bring him to ECW, if there not even going to defend the ECW title on the show)
    * miz & morrison (Not Clean)
    * Edge (you know you want it = edge vs. christian... yeah baby!)
    * randy orton (has to be clean!, fuck HHH)

Solid card. The Jericho/Legends match probably won't be that good since he doesn't have a lot to work with and I really don't need to see Rey/JBL again but other than that everything looks solid.

Wrestlemania 25 will be the first year that heels win but title matches. Tonight belongs to Rated RKO.

this has been the same for like a month...and why no ecw championship match? this wrestlemania doesnt seem like its gonna be as good as the others in the past 3 years.

if the wwe dosent give shelton this match it would be horrible he is always the best and most entertaining, needs better mike skills but they let punk be champ

    I'm interested in two things:

    1. Whether or not they'll have new tag titles and 2. how bad they'll fuck up the decent build to Orton/HHH.

Knowing the E they'll use the WWE and World tag belts (like Jericho's unified title reign) and have HHH go over Orton clean, followed by a McMahon celebration, which would undoubtedly be a "WrestleMania Moment" that is replayed until the end of time.

is this the exact line up? cuz i doubt taker and HBK are going second. lol thats a main event itself

I'm a massive Bret Hart mark yet, I hope and pray Shawn finishes the show with pyro! Neither title match deserves to finish, mainly because Randy's a heal and the Triple Threat is unintersesting. Screw the streak and the boring Taker. His streak is interesting now, who cares about who could stop him in 3 years... Wrestling doesn't have the luxury of time with 40+ performer's health. Die streak, die!

If the good-great match delivers & the rest is booked well to be entertaining this will be a really good show.

    Cant wait.

The olny way that this card can survive is if you bring in the ULTIMATE WARRIOR any match on here he can win, except the divas cause the warrior does not hit ladies, what is vince thinking, bring the WARRIOR back already, We all know wrestlemania 6 was the best one ever, say it with me people WARRIOR WARRIOR WARRIOR

Posted By: tHE sHANE (Guest)  on April 05, 2009 at 07:40 AM

I am actually expecting Orton to win the main event. If he doesn't it would be difficult to continue the story after. Pretty much I'd expect him to just get keyfabe fired and disappear for a bit if he looses. But if he wins they have a reason they can't just fire him and can do that whole McMahons vs Legacy angle. Then again maybe he wants some time off. Who knows.

Taker will win his match. Cena will likely win his (I can't see Edge and Orton leaving champions and no way it's going to be Show).

I'm expecting they'll let Gail Kim win the battle royal. She's got a movie out and could do with a push having only recently reapeared.

Miz & Morrison should win and become unified tag champs. Jericho will take the job to keep the crowd happy, probably due to Flair interfering. Either that or Stone Cold will turn up.

The other matches I'm less sure about. With Taz leaving, they may consider moving JBL back to announcing and therefore have him drop the title to Rey. I'm about 75% on that one.

Jeff or Matt wining is a hard one too. The odds favour Jeff, but only because he's the face and the bigger star. But it may keep the feud going better to have Matt win. 50/50 on that. Can't call it.

As for mitb. Well I can't see any of the big guys winning it. I expect they'll mostly just beat each other up and then lay around the floor. My favourite to win would be Christian. But with so many involved and none really obvious this year it's far from a sure thing.

What would be cool if they had Christian win and then take the belt from Edge after he wins the triple threat match. How awesome would that be?

It would also break up the triple main event thing a little.

hopefully swagger gets involved in this... and kills someone for not having a match

Solid Show, The World Title matches are washes for me though. I'm more interested in the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels showdown.

You sort of know Undertaker is going to win, but their's always that tension I get seeing him put that streak on the line.

I think Christian wins money in the bank in the first match of the night, then challenges Edge after he beats Cena and Show.

    New World Heaveyweight Champ: Christian

No ECW title match? Not even a quick challenge from Bourne? Wow, great way to build Swagger as a REAL World Champion....

Jericho-Legends is less than it was meant to be, the Divas are being used in just abut the right way and everything else is at least mildly interesting. I'll be watching...

WrestleMania SPOILERS: (dont read if you dont want to know what's going to happen)

opening match: Jericho pinned by Steamboat, then gets KO'd by Mickey Rourke

Nitro and Miz win and gain BOTH tag belts

    Jeff and Matt double KO

Trish wins "Miss WrestleMania. expect to see Rockin' Robin, Spider Lady and Sable

    Christian wins the MITB match

JBL wins and retires the belt.

Orton beats HHH when McMahon turns on him.

    Undertaker pins HBK

Edge beats big show and Cena. but loses the belt to Christain

overall, it was a cool show. All that hype over Mickey Rourke all those months for this though? apparently he's got the hands of stone.

It was cool to see Sable and Sunny faceoff (retro!) but Mae Young should'nt be anywhere near the final 4 in there. glad Santino didnt win it!

it's a shame they had to drop the ball with hogan though. he and Cena would've blown the roof off the place. imagine.. it gets all quiet, then you hear the intro... "iiiii ammm a reallll a merrrrrrricaaaaannnn" then the place explodes when he comes out to the biggest ovation EVER!
the crowd would be half cena (the kids and girls) and half hogan (everyone over 30) and BETTER than the match with the Rock.

and that's the bottom line, baby! cause i just spelled it out for ya. BET ON THAT!

I dont know why people are complaining about this card. The only matches I dont want to see are the Divas battle royal and the Triple threat with Cena.

The diva battle royal will be quick anyways. Triple threats for world titles at WM is always a let down though. Maybe people would have cared more if Benoit or Rey won the belt in a single match, I know I would have.

Should be a good one though:)

    Very weak card.

You can't hope to sell purely on name fake of this being WrestleMania.

Shame on you Vince for short changing the fans. I'm glad I got an illegal satellite.

Wish I wasn't working tonight. Well there are only 23 Divas listed there so I'm hoping it's Mae Young and Santino Marella so they can eliminate each other. I'd buy 50 dollars to watch Horny Mae chase Santino away from the ring.

Posted By: Flint (Guest)  on April 05, 2009 at 10:52 AM

I'd rather have the no buildup ECW title match then no ECW title match at all. Heck, half of ECW's matches back in the day had no buildup anyway! I can't wait til they put the bullet in the letters and do their stupid rebrand so we can stop having the ECW name continue to get pissed on. At least WCW gets to rest in peace instead of being an out-of-control undead zombie... Ha, the irony of ECW's zombie, if I only knew it then.

Hey, if you want to order it, then go ahead and do so; just don't come complaining to me if you feel most of the card was "WrestleMania IX bad" aftarwards. Outside of Taker/Michaels and possibly Triple H/Orton (assuming they BOTH have there working on and ending isn't an overbooked McMahon clusterfuck) or the Hardy/Hardy match (assuming it gets the TIME it needs and a finish that makes sense), this WrestleMania just MIGHT be IX bad. And when all is said and done, I would NOT be surprised if we are talking about a ONE MATCH SHOW, just like WrestleMania 13 and WrestleMania 16.

Sure. You had "no idea" about Wrestlemania.

You "just happened" to be surfing the internet and "just happened" to click on 411's wrestling section.

C'mon! Why act like that? You're a mark who sat at home all night thinking:"what can I post on the final Wrestlemania Card on 411 tomorrow?"

If you didn't know about Wrestlemania, then you haven't watched TV, listened to the radio, surfed the internet, read a newspaper/magazine, walked around your city in the PAST MONTH!!!

While I'm sure that is true of some people, I highly doubt that of ANY 411 reader.

I mean, you wouldn't have anything to bitch about or anyone to bitch to!

The build up for this ppv has been piss poor. This show doesn't feel that special due to the weak build and we've seen many of these matches a million times. The whole Jericho angle has turned out to be a disappointment. The Mitb match has too many guys that don't add anything to the match for it to be up to it's usual standards. Considering how Raw's ratings have been going down the last month to six weeks I suspect the buyrate for WM25 will be lower than it's been in a long time. I have zero interest in Cena-Edge-Show match and I dread HHH going over Orton.
