Awesome card. The WWE delivers again.

Best value on sports entertainment without a doubt.

WWE IC Title Match: Rey Mysterio © vs. Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin come on book it it doesn't matter if it don't make sense or not like that ever stop you guys before. just sayin

Most of the matches have obvious outcomes or at the very least outcomes that aren't very important but the overall match quality of this PPV should be pretty good.

Morrison/Benjamin and Jericho/Rey are going to compete for who will steal the show. Punk/Umaga is a fun mismatch that looked good at a house show I went to recently. Christian/Swagger was amazing at Backlash so it should be great again. Even Edge can carry the spot monkey to a good match.

Surprise, surprise. The only matches that look like clunkers are the ones that involve Cena and DAVE.

go smackdown!

The undercard matches are gonna save this show.

That's awesome that Morrison/Benjamin got added. It might not get much time since there's 7 matches and I'm sure Shelton will win since Morrison has all the momentum right now, but it's still great that these two are getting put on PPV. They'd better not dark match it like the tag title unification at WM25 though.

Also, notice the amount of matches per brand:

ECW - 1
Raw - 2
Smackdown - 4

Just goes to show how much better Smackdown is doing with building feuds right now.

"The only matches that look like clunkers are the ones that involve Cena and DAVE."

No, the only matches that look bad involve Batista and Show. Cena is perfectly fine.

Notice how the two bad matches (Batista/Orton & Cena/Show) will be from RAW.

Wow, It's almost like you guys are psychic or something. Just automatically assuming Show/Cena and Batista/Orton will stink up the place. Last I looked, the show hasn't happened yet. While it is true that my hopes aren't extremely high for the quality of those 2 matches, I will reserve judgment until they, you know, ACTUALLY HAPPEN!!! If you are already shitting all over the matches, what hope is there that they'll deliver? Just sayin...

I'll go against the grain and say cena show wont be bad...I remember them opening up wrestlemania XX (if that wrestlemania still counts) and having a nice little match...always fun to see cena lift show too

Posted By: b (Guest)  on May 16, 2009 at 01:15 AM

I agree with you guys about SHOW/CENA and BATISTA/ORTON being the worst two matches on the card. I would bank on the BATISTA/ORTON match being the better of the two due to the simple fact that Orton is the top heel on RAW right now. Plus, based on pure wrestling ability regardless of the character, Orton is clearly the best man out of the 4 involved in these 2 matches.

I don't want to be the guy that complains about an overall good looking card. But while the non-Raw matches all individualy look good, what's the deal with the lack of variety there? Seven (mens) singles matches with no stips. Seems weird. But I guess the key will be if it seems weird on the night. I have mixed feelings because if an all 1 on 1 ppv does well it'll just cement WWE's belief that tag team wrestling is dead.

Guaranteed this will be better than Wrestlemania 25.

The Smackdown matches look so fun and exciting compared to Raw. Shelton vs Morrison and Rey vs Jericho on PPV? It's almost too good to be true at this point.

uhh...Cena is facing Big Show. So how can a match look bad because it involves one person but not look bad because it involves another?

lol at jericho getting knocked down the ic division for the 2740th time

Its the same principle as betting. You dont know the outcome of a football game before you bet on it but you can predict the most likely outcome.
Perhaps we will be wrong and those two matches will be awesome but I for one bet they wont.

I honestly don't think that Cena vs. Big Show will be THAT bad. It won't be great as the rest of the card (and main event) but it won't stink up the place.

morrison vs benjamin! win!

Anyone who thinks this card looks poor really needs to get a grip. The two RAW matches obviously have the least potential, but we have Cena get good matches from planks of wood before, and The Big Show is no plank of wood out there. I expect them to put out a surprise. Orton/Batista will be boring like every one of their other matches. It's not rocket science.

Posted By: DomDom (Guest)  on May 16, 2009 at 04:36 PM

MVP vs. Regal for the U.S. title should be on this card.

8 matches can work. Make the Cena-Show match short (less than ten minutes) and Batista-Orton 12 minutes.

Looks as though it's a pretty good card to me.

The Raw matches will be solid(not terrible).
Orton/Batista should be interesting with the chicago crowd's reactions with the worst babyface taking on the best heel.
Cena carried khali and big show is a million times better then khali, so it should be atleast a solid match.

the smackdown matches will kick absolute ass thou'...

ecw match will be ok'...

I will be at Judgement Day and this IS NOT the card!
