Seriously, does anyone really give a crap about RoH anymore? this Friday will be THE LAST TIME RoH is seen in Time Warner Cable households (HDNet is going Bye-Bye)

Which means RoH loses the #1 market in the country (NYC)... Plus RoH isn't the company it was when they had guys like Punk (Not the watered down version currently running around Friday nights), Samoa Joe (His match with Kobashi is one of the best ever!), Homicide, Sydal etc.

I was at this event, so lets see if I can give a quick rundown...

Colt Cabana vs. Ace Steel - Hilarious Match if you like Colt Cabana, some decent wrestling but a comedy match - **1/2

Kevin Steen, El Generico, Jay Briscoe, & Magno vs. Chris Hero, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, & Incognito - Absolutely crazy match. Very underrated coming out of that weekend. The luchadores busted their asses in this one and everyone else kept up accordingly. The only thing that really hurt it is four men pulled off a crazier match later on in the night - ***1/2

Roderick Strong vs. Alex Koslov - Koslov really knows how to play to a crowd and work a great match too. Roderick is in full 05 **** you up mode here, so the dynamic is great - ****.

Brent Albright vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Blue Demon Jr - Blagh. Nigel was supposed to be in this match, but couldn't due to injury. The remaining people try to make it work, but it just wasn't happening - **1/2

NO HOLDS BARRED GRUDGE MATCH: Necro Butcher vs. Jimmy Jacobs - If you like Necro, this is one of the better one on one matches he's had in a LOOOONG time. I'm not going to ruin the insanity, but they basically killed each other with one spot in particular looking like someone got seriously messed up. You like violence, this is a great one - ****

ROH WORLD TITLE 4-WAY MATCH: Jerry Lynn vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Erick Stevens vs. D-Lo Brown - Maybe not as bad as you're thinking, as it's kind of nice to see a couple of new faces in the ROH Title Scene. A very good match with an outcome that anyone could see - ***1/2

Tyler Black & KENTA vs. Austin Aries
& Katsuhiko Nakajima - Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Even if the rest of this event never happened, see this match. Worth the ticket price and PPV price alone. Three minutes in they had the crowd on their feet, and they didn't stop for 20+ minutes. Black was crisp all night, KENTA was MEGA over, and Nakajima was as good or better as anyone else in the ring. But this was Austin Aries match. He put it on his back and everybody else played follow the leader. Incredible showing by all four men. ****1/2 easy.

Anyway, if you like ROH or one to check it out, this one is a no brainer. If you hate ROH or Indy wrestling...I think you should still check it out for that tag match, but it probably won't change your mind on anything.

I was at this event as well. It was my first experience with ROH in a live format and I was throughly impressed (and this comes from somebody who has watched WWE for most of his life). I only hope that the dvd follows (along with a dvd of the night before which was also in Houston) also in a quick manner so that I can go buy it off their website. Very recommended (by both me and my girlfriend), the last match especially. Interestingly enough...there was a Rhett Titus & Luke Williams match that doesn't look like it will be on the PPV (and several dark matches too but the Rhett/Luke match was part of the regular taping).

I knew ROH, and you, sir, are no ROH. I think ROH still has a small, loyal fanbase left, but I'm sure there was a fanbase for the Justin Credible as World Champ ECW as well.
