Some WWE news to kick off the day!
- Announced for tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw is MVP defending the US Title against Kofi Kingston.
- John Cena will throw out the first pitch at the June 20th Chicago Cubs game against the Cleveland Indians. The show will air on WGN. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
- On July 12th, the 2009 New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame will honor Tony Atlas and others during their Hall of Fame Ceremony. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
Ok Ok Ok, first things first, why would Cena agree to wear a LA Lakers jersey if he is from Boston?!? Also, why would he throw out the first pitch in Chicago when he is from Boston. Why not have CM Punk throw out the first pitch because HE IS FROM CHICAGO!!!! Publicity to the public that hes a 'nice guy'!! His ring attire should be a red cape, blue suit with a yellow and red 'S' on his chest!! My friends are saying that Orton is the WWE RAW golden boy but I say its Cena. I do not wish anyone injury but I hope it he gets injured and cannot wrestle again.

MVP/Kofi will probably be the only decent thing on RAW tonight... and won't get enough time.

He's throwing out the first pitch likely because WGN asked for him. Your hate aside nameless guest1228, Cena is the biggest, most marketable star the WWE has. He's a good company man, and he gets rewarded handsomely for it. Promoting your company is more important than hometown loyalty. Get over your hate. Cena is a good guy. shiiiiiit

well WWE SuperStars is now on WGN..you do the math..they would MUCH rather have Cena than Punk to promote the show.

Punk was going to throw out the first pitch for the game the Friday before Judgment Day in Chicago but it was rained out.
Cena's is about promoting WWE (especially on WGN) while Punk's was because he's a local boy...they always try to get famous people from the Chicagoland area to throw out the first pitch and sing.

I thought the WWE Superstars show isn't available in the Chicago market so why are they promoting the show in Chicago? I realize Punk's appearance was to promote the PPV and he is actually from Chicago
